Personality:
Takeru is quite an odd man. His face is one often regarded as humorless, with its thin-lipped look of regalia, but his words will occasionally take on a tone of dry humor. An occasional sarcastic line, with a deadpan expression, is what the man uses for humor. Unfortunately, his delivery of humor is often disregarded, as is his reception of it. Jokes are ignored, or given a derisive snort of disappointment.
The swordsmen also present a serious expression, and mannerism. Whenever he's out and about, there's often a grim set to his mouth, and when on a mission he's intent on the goal and completion, with little time to muck about. He carries a slight touch of pessimism about with him, speaking sourly about the likelihood of death today. While in this mindset, distractions are usually ignored, with some exceptions.
The blood of the Kaguya runs through this man’s veins, giving him an uncontrollable bloodthirst. The desire to kill, to feed is constantly flowing through his veins, although he usually is able to maintain the control to hold himself back, and show compassion. Unfortunately, it is a thin balance, and it is rather easy to set him off into a violent rage. Once in his rages, it takes either complete restrainment or an individual close to him to cool off, otherwise he simply burns through whatever is in his path until he passes out. He also takes great pride in his blood, and believes his people to be proud warriors and hunters. Meek, and otherwise passive Kaguya are shunned at best by him. Killed for defiling the bloodline at worst.
But, if you look past the bloodthirst, and the serious mask, the man possesses a sense of dry humor and some loyalty. Despite what many think of him, he attempts to keep a small amount of humor in day-to-day life, mostly to help prevent the innate insanity of his blood from taking over. His dry humor leads to his tight-lipped remarks, and although he outwardly keeps his impassive mask, there is amusement in his form. Laughter is seen, by him, as a weakness he needs to cover, and his deep-throated laugh is seldom heard.
Loyalty plays an important role in this Kaguya’s life. His loyalty to his village and its laws is intense, and his dislike for traitors is to the point he is willing to kill for even thoughts of disobedience. However, in his rages, he has harmed the villages, leading him to the conclusion that he himself is a traitor, an experience his mind swiftly justified as someone else acting on his behalf- a second personality of sorts. But, despite his mental excuses, there lurks a dark part of him that enjoys the rages, the adrenaline slaughter brings. And he does his best to hide it.
Appearance:
Takeru is, in a word, a noble-looking man. The refined arch of his eyebrows, to his small, thinly set lips add to the look of nobility. His face, carefully cut and softly set, give off the impression of confidence and a hint of arrogance, furthering the idea of on-lookers that this man is of noble bearing. His lightly curved features are a pleasure to look at, barring his left eye. However, no face is perfect, and Takeru's is marred by a scar.
Starting up near his scalp, directly above his nose, a large and jagged scar runs down the mans face. It's nearly a half inch wide, and the pale skin of it stands in a small contrast to his white-skinned face. Crossing over his eye and splitting his eyebrow into two pieces, it ends near his jawline, a remnant from a fight long ago. Covering his eyelid, and the surrounding area, is Takeru's eyepatch, shielding the view of a ruined eye from the world.
Leading down his body is his black hair, which often looks slightly blue in the sun. Occasionally tied in a ponytail, his hair hangs down to shortly above his elbows. Splaying over his broad back and shoulders, his hair stands out against his usual white kimono. Filling the kimono is a tall man, who's body is toned by his constant use of the massive sword hanging on his back.
His sword is interesting in itself, the massive blade being treasured by the Kaguya. Nearly the height of the man himself, the blade is a beauty. A leather-bound hilt leads to a small guard, wrought with intricate designs of snakes. The blade itself is black, a pure obsidian-esque black that seems to absorb light, and has a long snake etched in silver going down both sides.
It rests in a sheath that has twin dragons twining about it, and is itself a black material as well. The sheath is attached to a long strap that also houses the man’s buttbag, with grenades and such inbetween. And finally, completing his battle attire is a pair of soft black pants. Made of a comfortable fabric, the pants are wide to allow unrestricted and easy movement, and are kept in pristine shape.
Background:
A barking laugh broke the silence. The still night in an outskirting village, previously undisturbed, was now shattered by the singular laugh of a man. The Kaguya was hunting again. Farmers, peasants, and the like were harshly awakened from their rest by the laugh and the piercing scream that followed shortly thereafter. For weeks now, they’d been tormented by a wraith who fought in a blur of blood and bone, an unused greatsword strapped to his back. He’d come, slaughter a few men, women, children.. then vanish as quickly as he’d come. Whatever barricades they’d erect over the night proved useless, and the population of the village steadily fell each night.
Takeru danced across the rooftops of the small thatch houses, hearing the frightened squeals within and laughing to himself. This was what it meant to be alive!. Reaching the edge of one, he dropped, his hand catching the wood and propelling himself through the shuttered up window. He landed on top of a woman, a bone sprouting from his foot to impale her skull as he continued. His search of the house was complete, although he took nothing but the lives of the inhabitants.
Exiting via the front door, the Kaguya was met with a ring of ninja. A wide grin broke his face, and two more bones sprouted from his hands. “What, the villagers didn’t have the balls to fight me themselves?” Silent, the ninjas rushed forward, and the scene dissolved into a mess of fire, wood, steel, and bone. When the dust died down, the Kaguya had fallen. Blood ran from his face, a wound on his face claiming his eye. Three ninja lay dead, and one more wounded, but the remainders had the lone man surrounded.
A hoarse chuckle came from the fighter before he collapsed fully, passing blissfully into unconsciousness. When he awoke, he was in a hospital. A cloaked man stood over him, and alone in the hospital room, they exchanged words. He wore a white ceramic mask, and the a black body cloak. AnBu and patient. Two Kaguya's, one teaching the other knowledge on how to surpass the disease.
Nobody else knows what transpired between the two, but ever since, the Kaguya has been both a loyal and active member of the village. He earned a reputation for being coldly efficient in his work, and is semi-respected in the community as a genin.

Hira-Shuriken (Overview)-5 slots
Rank: "C" Rank
Type: Secondary, 15 per Slot, Piercing, Shuriken
Effect: Is a concealed weapon that is generally for throwing, and sometimes stabbing or slashing.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: Hira-shuriken is constructed from thin, flat plates of metal derived from a variety of sources including hishi-gane (coins), and kugi-nuki (carpentry tools), and generally resemble popular conceptions of shuriken. In modern popular culture, these are called "throwing stars" or "ninja stars". They often have a hole in the center and possess a fairly thin blade sharpened only at the tip. The holes derive from their source in items that had holes - old coins, washers, and nail-removing tools. This proved convenient for the shuriken user, as well, as the weapons could be strung on a string or dowel in the belt for transport, and the hole also had aerodynamic and weighting effects that aided the flight of the blade after it was thrown. There is a wide variety of forms of hira-shuriken and they are now usually identified by the number of points the blades possess.

Description: A stun grenade, also known as a flash-bang, is a non-lethal weapon. These grenades are used to temporally neutralize the combat effectiveness of enemies by usually disorienting their senses. When making contact it releases a flash of light that momentarily activates all light sensitive cells in the eye, making vision impossible for approximately 5 seconds until the eye restores itself to its normal, un-stimulated state. The incredibly loud blast produced by the grenade adds to its incapacitating properties by disturbing the fluid in the ear which also lasts approximately 5 seconds until the ear restores itself to its normal, un-stimulated state. The flash bang has a radius damage of 15 meters. It takes 6 seconds before it explodes.
Limit: These types of items may be capable of being bought inside any Weapon Shop.
Cost: 1,500 Ryo Each
Grenade: Fragmentation - 10 slots
Rank: "C"
Type: Secondary, 1 per Slot, Explosive, Grenade
Effect: A grenade with a heavy metal casing that shatters, on exploding, into fragments that travel at high speed and with great force.

Drawback: May harm the user if not thrown right.
Description: The fragmentation grenade (commonly known as a frag) is an anti-personnel weapon that is designed to disperse shrapnel upon exploding. The body is made of hard plastic or steel. Flechettes, notched wire, ball bearings or the case itself provide the fragments. When the word grenade is used without specification, and context does not suggest otherwise, it is generally assumed to refer to a fragmentation grenade. These grenades were sometimes classed as defensive grenades because the effective casualty radius of some matched or exceeded the distance they could be thrown, thus necessitating them being thrown from behind cover. Fragmentation grenades have a killing radius of 5 meters with a wounding radius of 15 meters. It takes 6 seconds before it explodes.
