Anybody know much of actual demonology?

So I've witnessed the the scariest thing in my life, and I tried to look it up, but can't find a match anywhere. Non-believers (like my dad who insists it was a dream) please keep to yourself your opinions can stay with you just fine. Anybody else who may know what I had seen or had a similar experience, feel free to enlighten me.
I randomly decided to look out my window last night while closing the blinds and I seen a dark shadowy figure. It appeared almost cat/wolf-like. Though it was dark outside the thing was darker still, almost pitch black yet somehow details were still visible. It was incredibly bony-starved in appearance to the point you could see it's spine, and it also had a very prominent rib cage.
It had a somewhat shorter snout than a wolf with long unevenly lengthed teeth that crossed over each other as if it wouldn't be able to fully open it's mouth. It didn't seem very tall but was long, especially it's four arms and "fingers" which stretched out across the ground nearly the length of itself, it seemed to almost very slowly pull itself along by gripping the ground in front of it. However it had very short hind legs which didn't move much.
It also had thin pointy ears, and a long almost rat-like tail. The creepiest thing (besides the way it moved) was it's eyes. They weren't your over-rated red or yellow, but slender and pure white. I watched it pull itself twice. obviously mystified with disbelief, before it turned it's head to look right at me, a couple seconds later it's eyes flashed almost like a camera. Not a moment after it basically vanished, it didn't really cause I seen the direction it went. One moment it was in the center of my field then the next it blurred straight to the road then down it the opposite direction of my house.
I know I wasn't dreaming because right after it left, I instantly went to the couch, turned on the TV, and decided to call it a day. Though sleep was still pretty hard to come by.
