She arrived early to the mall that day where she was to meet Miss Suneko. She paced back and forced she felt a mix of nervousness and excitement at the thought of going on her first mission. She smiled to herself. Her first mission, her parents had been excited and her brother did tease her a bit about the nature of it, calling her more maid than ninja. She just stuck her tongue out at him and left.
Midori looked around the mall. The lady at the Hokage tower said she could get something for herself, but what? She waited until she saw her come in. She matched the description of Rin perfectly. Long dark hair done in waves and a pink bubble skirt and a t-shirt of some boy band. She appeared to be looking for something.
The young kunoichi walked up to her, and she saw the young woman looking at her headband.
"I am Moto Midori, ninja of Konoha. Are you Miss Suneko?" The girl looked at her, and had a confused expression.
"Yes, but what's up with your voice?" Okay, that was rude, thought Midori. Her speech was a sensitive topic to her. Having been mostly teased about that in school. She wanted to say something, but remembered that annoying her would lead to a dock in pay. So she swallowed her pride and said
"I'm deaf." Suneko raised a brow,
"Then how do you know what I am saying?"
"Lipreading." Midori replied, simply.
'Well, okay. Anyway, I am going to have the best party ever and I need you to do everything I say or I'll tell daddy and you'll get in trouble with the hokage." Midori resisted the urge to roll her eyes, like the Hokage would bother himself with a failed D rank mission.
"Understood." affirmed the kunoichi
"Anyway" began Rin, "First, we are going to hit the boutiques to find me the perfect dress!" Rin then graved her hand and pulled her in the direction of one of the mall's most expensive shops. Midori had only been in a handful of times. However, she had never brought anything, she of course couldn't afford it.
However, Rin clearly had money and was very liberal with it. When they finally steppe into the boutique, Rin released her arm and walked ahead. She went for the racks and started checking out the dresses they had. Midori awkwardly stood there, while Rin graved arm fulls of dresses. Rin then turned to her and said,
"Follow me." Midori followed her to the changing room and Rin went inside and came out later in a sparkling blue, short dress. Midori thought it was pretty, but the moment Rin saw herself in the mirror she began to lament something that Midori didn't catch. She went back in and came out later in a pink and looked happier.
She went in and out several times and Midori swear that by now Rin had worn the entire rainbow. She seemed happy with several and shoved her choices into the kunoichi's hands and pointed to the cash register, where Midori went, while Rin went to check out some accessories.
While the blond cashier was ringing up the mountain of dresses, Rin would later come in with a pile of jewelry she had found and a couple of perfume bottles. When she had the deaf shinobi's attention she began to babble
"I can't decide what to wear right now, so I had to buy accessories to match it all." Rin then turned and took her credit card out. Midori couldn't help, but be disgusted at her excess. Even when her father was an ANBU she wouldn't have been able to shop like this nor would have she wanted too.
While she was thinking; Rin piled her arms with the bags and Midori had to adjust them to where she could balance their weight comfortably.
