[ooc: Sorry for the delay. I've been doing a lot of heavy research for a publishing project]
"Let's go back home to the hotel...I want to see that action movie" muttered the young woman. He nodded in agreement with her, paid the restaurant for their meal and then walked back to the hotel hand in hand.
They walked up to the hotel room. Marii turned on the lights before she switched on the TV. "Pretty sure the movie is at channel 8" muttered the female as she looked at the program. 'Can't wait.' She switched to the channel in question, just in time to see the introduction. Marii went to sit down on her bed, leaving Kininata there a moment to ponder his next action. He moved to her bed, sitting beside her and wrapped his arm around her shoulder as comfortably for the both of them as he could. 'There where are, nice and comfortable.'
The introduction was pretty standard for an action film; a scene that depicted at least one of the serious villains in the film performing a crime with his minions. They steal something valuable - in this case a young child of a rich and powerful businessman with ties to the government - and attempt to negotiate money for the child's safe return. The heroes then take the spotlight in their introduction; a young asian police officer with a strong sense of professional duty and honor and a recently retired police officer who is friends with the businessman. It looked to be pretty interesting... the problem was that Kininata was drifting in and out of sleep.
He didn't notice it at first... he would close his eyes to blink, then open to see he missed a minute or so. His head occasionally nodded down a little and he lifted it back up. By the time the film was halfway through he had fallen asleep on the bed with Marii...
...Kininata opened his eyes to the brightness of a sunny sky and warm air. He grinned and smelled something delicious coming from the kitchen. He rolled out of bed and reached for his robe. He stood up and tightly tied the robe on before heading out of the bedroom - to be ambushed by his son and daughter. He couldn't remember their names that moment, his mind too sleepy, but he laughed and smiled at them as he reached down to life them into the air, kiss them on the cheek and hug them tightly. Marii turned and smiled at him, saying "good morning" silently to him as his eyes gazed into hers.
He put the children down and headed out of the house, exiting into a beautiful vista overlooking a range of fields and hills. The mountains near Kaminari dominated the horizon to his left, in the distance he could see the flickering reflections of the buildings of Kumogakure no Sato. He had his travel pack ready to head to Amegakure no Sato for his update with the Amekage, and Marii was taking the children with her to the village today as well. They would be apart for a week starting today, always the hardest part between them on these excursions, but a necessary one - it allowed them to be together as husband and wife. He turned back to the house, seeing his family. He was at peace with himself, happy...
