An open terrain of rocks and dirt, guess this is how you know you're in Iwagakure, better get started. I'd have a large scroll besides me as I get off my bottom and stand up, the first technique I was going to learn was a stance, the wolf stance in the divine reflexes style. First off I had to put my feet shoulders width apart and make them face the direction I was facing, check. Then place one hand at the head for protection, I'd whip my hand upwards in front of my head, open palmed with my fingers bending over my palm, dangling over my thumb. Do the exact same but at t he waist, I'd place my elbow at the side of my waist as the scroll describes, my open palm would be a few inches away from my groin, the appropriate distance you should have in public.
I'd release the stance, now I had to do it all at once instead of doing it piece by piece, so I'd quickly slap my open palms onto my hip and just infront of my nose, my feet swiveling at the same time, rotating forwards, pointing the same direction as me whilst keeping shoulder's width apart, good but not quick enough. Again! The back of my left hand would slap against my thigh whilst my right hand would land just in front of my face and my feet moving on their own, pointing forwards, a good defensive stance that I seem to be able to get into rather quickly now. I suppose the proper course of action would to be repeating it until it's instinctive, as I do with all of my other stances, quick! Both hands co-ordinated, my left barely brushing the underside of my stomach, my right hand positioned in such a way that it won't interfere with my peripheral vision, my feet all the while had already rotated forwards, syncing up with the rest of my body, pointing north, like the rest of my body, I'd have my muscles firm and able to block or parry any tai-jutsu attack coming at me, or at least the weaker ones.
