Drawback: ---
Description: The kunai is conventionally wrought in ranges from 6 to 8 inches, with the average at 7 inches. The kunai was used by common folk as multi-purpose gardening tools and by workers of stone and masonry. The kunai is not a knife, but something more akin to a crowbar. The blade was soft iron and unsharpened because the edges were used to smash plaster and wood, to dig holes and to pry. Normally only the tip would have been sharpened. Hira-Shuriken (Overview)
Rank: "C" Rank
Type: Secondary, 15 per Slot, Piercing, Shuriken
Effect: Is a concealed weapon that is generally for throwing, and sometimes stabbing or slashing.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: Hira-shuriken is constructed from thin, flat plates of metal derived from a variety of sources including hishi-gane (coins), and kugi-nuki (carpentry tools), and generally resemble popular conceptions of shuriken. In modern popular culture, these are called "throwing stars" or "ninja stars". They often have a hole in the center and possess a fairly thin blade sharpened only at the tip. The holes derive from their source in items that had holes - old coins, washers, and nail-removing tools. This proved convenient for the shuriken user, as well, as the weapons could be strung on a string or dowel in the belt for transport, and the hole also had aerodynamic and weighting effects that aided the flight of the blade after it was thrown. There is a wide variety of forms of hira-shuriken and they are now usually identified by the number of points the blades possess.

Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: When pursued by enemies, ninja would scatter makibishi on the ground. In ancient Japan, common footwear consisted of sandals made of straw, called zori, which offered relatively little protection against such hazards. Makibishi spines were often hooked, and occasionally grooved to allow for a light coat of poison, to increase the damage they dealt to those unfortunate enough to step on them and possibly result in death.

Grenade: Fragmentation
Rank: "C"
Type: Secondary, 1 per Slot, Explosive, Grenade
Effect: A grenade with a heavy metal casing that shatters, on exploding, into fragments that travel at high speed and with great force.
Special: ---
Drawback: May harm the user if not thrown right.
Description: The fragmentation grenade (commonly known as a frag) is an anti-personnel weapon that is designed to disperse shrapnel upon exploding. The body is made of hard plastic or steel. Flechettes, notched wire, ball bearings or the case itself provide the fragments. When the word grenade is used without specification, and context does not suggest otherwise, it is generally assumed to refer to a fragmentation grenade. These grenades were sometimes classed as defensive grenades because the effective casualty radius of some matched or exceeded the distance they could be thrown, thus necessitating them being thrown from behind cover. Fragmentation grenades have a killing radius of 5 meters with a wounding radius of 15 meters. It takes 6 seconds before it explodes.

The body is a sheet-steel cylinder with emission holes in the top and bottom. These allow the smoke to be released when the grenade is ignited. Two main types exist, colored smoke (for signaling) and screening smoke. It fills an area radius of 15 meters with thick smoke. The smoke may come in different colors if the user wishes. Different color smoke could be used for information value if need. It takes 6 seconds before it explodes.

Grenade: Stun
Rank: "C"
Type: Secondary, 1 per Slot, Explosive, Grenade
Effect: A stun grenade, also known as a flash-bang, is a nonlethal weapon. These grenades are used to temporally neutralize the combat effectiveness of enemies by usually disorienting their senses.
Special: ---
Drawback: May harm the user if not thrown right.
Description: A stun grenade, also known as a flash-bang, is a non-lethal weapon. These grenades are used to temporally neutralize the combat effectiveness of enemies by usually disorienting their senses. When making contact it releases a flash of light that momentarily activates all light sensitive cells in the eye, making vision impossible for approximately 5 seconds until the eye restores itself to its normal, un-stimulated state. The incredibly loud blast produced by the grenade adds to its incapacitating properties by disturbing the fluid in the ear which also lasts approximately 5 seconds until the ear restores itself to its normal, un-stimulated state. The flash bang has a radius damage of 15 meters. It takes 6 seconds before it explodes.

Character Depth
Personality:
Kind- Kimiko is a very kind individual to anyone and everyone. She was raised to show respect and courtesy to everyone before they prove otherwise that they don't deserve such kindness. Her kindness can be as small as opening to door for an elderly couple, to buying a child a new ice cream cone if they dropped there. Even those who have angered or annoyed Kimiko (which is hard to do in the first place), she isn't overly rude to them, nor does she use sarcasm. Her actions would be the same for both friend and one who angers her, but the emotions in the two respective encounters won't be the same.
Protective- As the older sibling to her young brother, Kimiko developed a sense of protecting others. Almost in a motherly fashion, Kimiko considers herself the protector of the group, taking on the defensive role in combat. Even outside of battle, Kimiko considers herself as the person to stand up for others, especially one that cannot stand up for themselves. Granted, her protection varies with the situation. In verbal abuse, for example, Kimiko wouldn't be rude towards the aggressor, unless they turned their abuse on her. In combat situations, Kimiko's protection would translate into putting down the threat as easily as possible; killing the opposition is an option, but it isn't the only option with Kimiko.
Shy- Despite first impressions, Kimiko is shy towards some people, especially to boys of her generation. While it appears she is proud of her . . . early development into womanhood, Kimiko truly isn't flaunting her body towards others in her age group. Thus, off-handed comments and eve sincere compliments will incite a blush from Kimiko. This shyness is only apparent around boys of similar age; other than this, though, Kimiko is rather open and friendly with anyone, and this doesn’t mean she isn’t friendly towards boys of her age either. It just means their comments might bring out her bashful side, which is usually subdued by her usual, friendly nature
Loyal- Kimiko is very loyal to both her clan and her village, something she was taught at an early age. She does not see any reason in betrayal or backstabbing, nor does she approve of anyone who doesn't feel the same. Her loyalty is displayed in her attire as well as her attitude, as she usually bears the symbols of her clan and village wherever she goes, only covering up these badges when required by her superiors.
Strategic- Kimiko spent years sitting in on her father's training lectures with her brother, Kenji, thus learning basic tactics and strategies to go along with her personal and clan techniques. This experience, coupled with her ability to think on her feet fairly quickly, makes her very talented with strategy. She isn't a genius, of course, and still has a lot to learn, but she understands the basics of strategy-formation
Appearance:
Kimiko looks the part of a true Akimichi female, even without the trademark facial designs and the kanji on her clothing. She can be considered larger than most girls, especially in height, weight, and
Her visage is smooth and unmarred also from the rigors of the ninja life. Her best feature are her eyes, which come in a beautiful emerald shade, vibrant and powerful to any who gaze upon them. Her teeth are both straight and pearly while, and whenever she smiles, dimples appear on her cheeks. Her hair is the most common feature of her Akimichi blood, besides the large size of course, at is both spiky and the dull-brown common in the clan. Kimiko takes a unique approach to her hair though, as it is always kept in pigtails; also, her hair is also short compared to some of her fellow clasnman, despite the fact that when it is let down, it does brush the shoulders.
Her attire is influenced by both her village and her clan. The clothing she wears is often in some desert tone, such as oranges and yellows. Instead of a traditional armband, Kimiko bears the Sunagakure symbol on the net sleeves she often wears. She also proudly bears the kanji for the Akimichi on her clothing, usually sewn somewhere on her shirt. Speaking of her shirts, they are usually low-cut for comfort sake, not to flaunt her. . . bosom, as high neck kiminos and shirts were tight and uncomfortable on Kimiko. Her choice of pantswear is usually tights in dark colors, either blacks or browns, that are form-fitting to her muscular legs. As for shoes, Kimiko usually wears the common shinobi sandals in the color of her tops. Finally, as a testament to her clan, she never leaves her home without the paint design on her face, which she is very proud of.
Background:
Pre-Creation
Kimiko was born into the Akimichi clan to Ren, a Suna-nin, and Kimi Akimichi. Despite her dad's choice of profession, Kimiko originally wasn't destined to be a ninja. In the early years of her life, when others her age were training and succeeding in the academy, Kimiko was struggling with even the easiest techniques; she learned to mold her chakra, but after that, she often failed miserably in specific techniques. Thus, by the the time she was about nine, her father has just given up, turning his attention to her younger brother, Kenji, as the child who would follow in his footsteps, even though at the time, Kenji was only two.
Her father's shift of attention off of her and onto her brother bothered her in the beginning, but eventually Kimiko was able to cope with the change; in fact, as her brother began to grow and train with her father, she actually began to enjoy it. Kimiko enjoyed just sitting around, some snack food in her hands while she watched her father and Kenji train. During this training, despite the fact that she still didn't believe she would ever be a ninja, she would absorb the lessons her father taught Kenji about the use of ninjutsu and the strategy behind fights. Her favorite lessons, though, were her father's lectures on the uses of the Akimichi clan techniques. Kimiko found herself memorizing the basics for the techniques, including learning the seals. Of course, she was only listening to know something about her clan, and maybe to help Kenji out if her needed any; other than that, Kimiko never knew when she would actually need to know the techniques, if ever.
She found out though when she was twelve though that paying attention really pays off. One summer afternoon, Kimiko was walking to the village's academy to pick Kenji up from his classes, when she came across her brother being cornered by some of the older kids in the academy. For some reason, Kenji had annoyed them, and these kids were about to make them pay. Well, at this age, Kimiko wasn't as tall or as strong as the boys surrounding her brother, but she knew she needed to do something; what, though, was beyond her. Instinct took over, and the lessons her father was passing along to Kenji began to ring in her head. She formed the two seals required for the technique she remembered the best, and BOOM, Kimiko, the girl who never had what it takes to be a ninja, had achieved the Partial Multi-Size Technique. With her enlarged arms, she grabbed the two boys by the scruffs of their necks and planted them against the wall they had cornered her brother against. She didn't have to even hurt the kids; the mere fact that this random girl had them pinned in gigantic arms was enough to prevent any more bullying. The boys fled, and Kenji was overjoyed with what her sister had done; so overjoyed, in fact, that it was the first thing he told his parents when he got home. Ren looked at his daughter real hard, and for the first time in a long time, Kimiko saw a fire in those green emeralds.
She was going to be the shinobi Ren had once wanted her to be.
So at the age of twelve, Kimiko was enrolled into the academy to begin her training. For two years she toiled in the academy, learning the basics. Along the way, Kimiko grew into the Akimichi frame, growing several inches and filling up her frame (maybe a little too much in some areas). She also discovered her elemental affinity of Earth, allowing her to supplement her clan techniques with some ninjutsu. Finally, at the age of fourteen, Kimiko was given her the headband denoting her as a Genin of the Hidden Sand Village. On this fateful day, Kimiko heard the words from her dad she had longed for for so long.
"Good job, son. . ."
Alright, so maybe her father didn't get it completely right, but it only drove Kimiko to get stronger and rise higher. Her goal now?
To make her father say "That's my girl."[/font]
