The mission, find a locket. The ninja sent to take care of this low profile, and easily handled mission, Alexander, the Achilles of the Hidden Mist. This was a simple mission that a Genin could do, however they were short handed. The ninja were sent out to take care of other missions. Alexander, a Chuunin, would just have to get his hands dirty and put his ANBU missions on hold. He took the need of the village into consideration for these next few missions. He took a deep breath and ran to a house that belonged to an old man who had lost his family heirloom. Alexander was tasked to find it, and he would find it. As he arrived at the man’s house was in the middle of town and as Alexander arrived, he checked the information that came with mission. He had to make sure he was at the correct address. He checked over the address and as he did so he was sure he was at the right place.
His hand came up from his side and gentle, but enough to be noticed, knocked on the door. The man could be heard coming to the door from somewhere inside the house. As the door opened the musty smell of mothballs and fresh apple pie came rushing forth. The old man was probably five feet seven inches. The Achilles looked at the man who was handling the fact that a full armed ninja had just arrived on his doorstep. He could tell the old man was looking him over. The man smiled and opened his mouth, coffee stains covered his teeth. ”I hope you are the nina sent to recover my lost property.” the man said in a half joking voice. He had opened the door farther and Alexander could see the man’s house had a lived in look to it. Taking in a deep breath in through his nose, the Achilles looked at the man in the eyes. Standing tall, he made eye contact with the man. He too opened his mouth and formed his lips into a smile.
”That is why I am here. he would tell the man and hold up the piece of paper to prove it. He did not show his Mist Village Headband, simply because it was under his armor that held it over his heart. Still the paper should be enough and the man smiled at him. This should be easy enough to accomplish and taking in a glance at the paper the old man smiled and held up his finger. This was the universal symbol for wait one moment. That being done, that is exactly what Alexander was going to do, wait one moment. He looked at the man and then, taking in the smell of the house once more, smiled and nodded his head. The old man turned, leaving the door open, walked back into his house. Leaving the door clearly meant that he felt comfortable with Alexander standing there. The young Kaishin would watch as the man walked into the depths of his house. Then, after hearing the rustling of paper, the old man appeared once more, this time with paper in hand. He walked towards the younger man and outstretched his hand. The man was holding the piece of paper in the hand and Alexander could see writing on it.
”On this I have written down everywhere I have went. I figured it would help you in your quest. I have also proved a picture of what it looks like, that way you will know what you are looking for.” the man said smiling at the young ninja. Alexander was actually taken back by how prepared the man was. This man had actually made this mission a lot easier just by doing these things. The Chuunin had been thinking of questions he would ask the old man on his way over here. The man was already two steps ahead of him. This was a clear sign on how much time he had actually spent thinking about this locket. That meant one outstanding and crystal clear thing, that this locket meant a great deal to the man. Alexander took a deep breath, understanding what failure would mean, a great amount of sadness to this citizen of the Mist Village. If Alexander was truly thinking of the Village when he took this mission, then he had to take into that thought pattern the villagers. They made up the village after all, and without them there was no village. Alexander looked up at the sky, it was getting dark, he would have to start tomorrow. He had gotten a late start and had started right after getting the mission from the tower. Tomorrow, he would find the locket for this man. He bowed to the man, showing he understood, and took off. The last image of the man, was him standing in the doorway smiling in Alexander’s direction.
