Arriving on scene, the forest surrounding the village gates were glistening with life. The sound of birds chirping and the water flowing from the current a few meters away filled my ears as I strolled out into the open. Despite I had just been out here a few hours ago, I found myself taken aback by the scenery when normally I wouldn't care less about any of it. I adjusted my brown scarf which had been wrapped loosely around my neck while my short brown biker jacket swung loosely above my mid-torso. My white blouse was still immaculately clean despite I had traveled recently without washing; that was buttoned up to the top aside from the first four buttons.
Entering deeper into the forest, my mission was to observe the area for any unusual or suspicious activity surrounding the border of Otogakure. The forest was quiet aside from the wildlife, but since I had just arrived here, I would need to begin traveling to make up for the time that I had lost. My head shifted from left to right as I crouched down by a tree. The area seemed safe enough so I rose and headed deeper toward the boarder's edge. I found from overhearing other Shinobi saying that the best way to observe the boarder was to overlook the enemies territory as they are easier to spot.
However, during my hike there, my mind continued to ponder on how I would be able to Shunshin around an opponent while in the forest. There was a good chance of me hitting a tree should I not calculate my distance properly while in the Shunshin. My teeth bit down hard upon my lower lip as I began to focus my chakra down to the soles of my feet and heels. I marked the tree I was near before a small amount was also sent to my calve muscles as well as every muscle in my body relaxed during my hike. I remembered what the Master said in the Dojo and decided to test it while in an actual forest.
I jerk myself forward, releasing the chakra I had stored within my feet and I suddenly felt the push forward my body quickly moved into the Shunshin. After what felt like a few seconds, I discovered that I was almost half way through the Shunshin when I suddenly shifted my weight and moved around in a sweep toward the nearing tree several meters away from the edge of the Otogakure boarder. The world whirled around me and I felt myself being swept around a few trees while I moved at the speed of light. My gaze fixated upon the trunk of a tree as I stopped moving. Had I done it correctly?
Moving around the tree I began to search for the previous tree I had marked while staying at the same distance from the tree I now appeared in front of. And to my luck I found it a fair distance away. But I was unable to properly determine exactly how far I was away from that mark. However, turning around to oversee the edge of the border, my gaze traveled across the area over the edge of the current separating the boarder from another country's and spotted no movement. So I began to move down the stream until I covered the entire boarder.
