Post 1:
Fear is an odd, and often dangerous sensation. I've experienced fear beyond your wildest nightmares, and lived to tell the stories. It was my turn to strike fear into the heart of others, and I planned on doing this by mastering the art of the figment perception. I spoke briefly to my adoptive father, who happened to be a genjutsu master, and he showed me a technique to get me started. It was considered the base to many other techniques, he said, and it would require a special set of handseals which he was kind enough to share with me.
"I will help you." came the scratchy, muffled voice I had grown accustomed to. "I will serve as your target for this jutsu, as it will require another stable mind to test." he said, standing back now and signalling for me to begin the handseals. I nodded hurredly, and began to formulate the string of handsigns. Upon completion, I stepped forward towards the man I have come to know and love, in order to make contact. He stood still in order to allow it, and as my palm touched him, the hairs on his arm stood at attention.
"Heh, that's a good start, Isamu. Let's see if you can expand on that." he said aloud. "Try again, this time let more chakra exchange from your body, to mine." came his usual friendly advice. I centered my focus, gathering my chakra in a calm fashion. It was only moments before I felt fully replenished and ready to continue. I began to form the set of handsigns once again, concentrating intently. I nodded at my guardian once again, giving him a heads up that I was going to attempt once more.
In a matter of just a second, my palm was placed firmly upon his chest, all the while channeling my chakra into him. It was not noticable if the attempt worked or not at first, but within moments the effects became visible. Sweat began to seap through his shirt, to the point where anyone with a working set of eyes could see it. He smiled at me, as a way of showing how proud he was, and made a hand notion informing me to try again. "Just give me a moment, sir. I need to gather a little more chakra so I don't over exert myself." I said, with my extreme respect for the man shown through my words.
Just as I said, chakra was beginning to collect in the pit of my stomach, as I readied myself again. I began to string together the handsigns, gathering chakra to the palm of my hand now. With another signal to my mentor, I moved my hand slowly to his chest, holding it there firmly for just a moment. Before my hand could even leave its position, though, I felt through his clothing his sweat, I saw his hair stand on end, and I could feel very vividly, his heart beating like a snare drummer playing a beat. He smiled, nodding in pride, that he was able to teach me yet another technique.
