The village hidden in the stone...
The day was one of a great humidity within the spring air. A soft breeze blew through the streets but the sign of summer was around. The street's where a bustle as usual with the crowd of the common folk and ninja alike. Everyone seemed to be enjoying the grand weather. Well...at least most. There was a few brooding types loathing around, lurking in what shade could be found; idling in their own misery...
Tien however, was brooding in broad day light; with his bright golden hair, and crimson attire flaring hotter then even the sun. "Today is the day...I'm going to finally begin my training...How long it's been since I first became a ninja, and now I'll learn to fight like one..." Tien would utter as he stood amidst the street, wide in the dirt dry road. He looked at the face of a gateway to a Shrine. It was in fact the age old Shiryu training grounds; a barren place where in the center of a huge 100 yard diameter was nothing but barren hard earth with a inner crater perfectly inset about 3 stories deep in which the master of the grounds taught the art of Iron fist. His name was Master "The iron man" Gouken. As Tien stood there in the middle of the street he wondered what the master would look like. All around town pamphlet's and scrolls about the basic stance's of the style where given free to advertise and draw in student's but most never followed through. There was a mention of him being a very harsh master and most students who did stick around often turned around and left after only a few day's.
...
There was a pause...a momentary lapse in thought as Tien decided with a slight frown that it was going to just be a waste of time to deal with some hot hea-
"I'm sorry can I help you?!"
Came a voice from the top of the stair well leading to the shrine entrance. Tien whirled his head back to find that the source was not there. A gruff sounding voice that posed the bass like reverance of a dragons breathing noise in it's sleep. The sound of a man who said thing's and was definitely heard no matter what. Tien ran his hand to flip a bang from his left eye and saw with a clear yet stern look on his face; as a few foot step's could be heard coming to bring the figure of a hugely statured cinder block built man of high age to the gate opening. His mouth would part slightly as the figure seemed to be impressive even from way down at the bottom of the steps.
"Eh...No...I don't think I had the r-"
"If I can't help you then why did you come to this stair way!"
Tien was again drawn to a blank. The pause in the air was almost enough to cause the backdrop ambiance to fade from sense. A twitching started in Tien's brow but he merely frowned and turned away casually as if to shrug this off. HE knew he would just end up getting into a mess of a fight with his anger unveiled.
ZZZZZIIIIP!...TING!
As soon as he turned about 160 degree's a object as big as a pebble flew right past his face, nicking him on the side of his cheek. Tien stared with slowly widening eyes as a spot on the street ground some few meter's from him exploded into a small crater as if a fire cracker had been hidden in the dirt. Beholden, that a small pebble was embbedded there. Furry began to set in as the truth was realized. Tien, turned his head with a unnaturally seething anger burning to his face already, his hand's tightening into loose fist. "What...the hell are you thinking?! Trying to snipe me in the back like that!" The man at the top of the stair's folded his arm's and then frowned snidingly form on high.
"I was thinking...THAT YOU WHERE LOST!!!"
Tien clenched his teeth at the way the huge man yelled like that. Only a pause of hesitation, as sanity to hold himself back was present before he took off. He bolted straight running right up the stair's as fast as he could, taking a few short step's before jumping from the bottom of the step's and shooting straight over the entire case with the grace of a ninja. "You got a loud mouth old man!" Tien shouted as he flew up the step's...
