Emi 20/30, Zetsubô 44/100
The large beast had been a little too enthusiastic as he had began to feel his own scent around the house. So he had left his master for a few seconds to run around the building and see if there had been anyone that had invaded his territory. The local rat family appeared to have moved away as he no longer could feel any recent smells from them at their normal feeding-area. Curious if the nest had been abandoned, Zetsubô jogged towards the large hole under the smithy. There were a few marks on the outside that something lived in it, but the nuts and leafs smelled several days old and as he put his nose into the black hole, he smelled that the rat-smell was a lot weaker than normally. A little disappointed that he no longer had them to play with. It was however something that was still down there, its smell wasn't as strong as the rats. But that could be because it also seemed as it barely was alive.
Zetsubô shoved his head into the hole while expanding it using his front paws. When he was almost a feet down, the scent had become so strong that he recognized it as some kind of damaged prey. His mouth watered as he tried to think back to the days in the swamp what kind of animal it was. His ability to smell things had been a lot less developed back then, but the difference were suppose to be that it had turned clearer. When he finally had identified the scent as a damaged otter and was about to push himself down the last distance and snag the prey, he felt a very familiar scent coming from behind himself, it was blood.... his masters blood. Since he still was in the hole, he wasn't able to learn from what direction. But as he pulled out from the hole and held his nose high, he noticed that the scent followed the win. So he turned towards the corner of the house and began to run towards it as he felt another persons smell.
Emi tried to distinguish whom his attacker was, it was however too dark and the person's hood covered most of the face. Furious that he had been attacked from the shadows and been ridiculed, Emi jumped towards the person and attack it. When his fist penetrated the robe just under the persons heart, he felt something strange, it was some kind of metal construct. Before he had realized he was in danger the construct was activated and hundreds of small projectiles were shot out from it into all directions. The entire area was covered in small needles, shurikens and kunais, all whom appeared to have the green poison applied to them. Emi had fallen backwards from the surprise and almost looked like a opposite porcupine as his as his needles was in the front instead of the back. The puncture wounds did however not bleed as long as the projectiles were till attached to him, but whenever he moved one of them a rapid bloodstream surfaced.
A clicking sound was heard as the shadowy creature moved, it was a puppet. It came rushing towards the fallen Emi with his right arm held high. Out from the stump in which it previously had a hand, a long dagger sprung out which the puppet used to attack the small boy. Emi was able to avoid the first five stabs, but he had nowhere to hide and since he still was on the ground, he didn't have much he could do to dodge them all. The blade was embedded into his upper left arm and when he tried to move out of the way for another attack, he noticed that he was nailed down into the ground. The puppet kicked Emi into the stomach, eager to keep the young hoshigaki in place with its blade. Determined not to get stuck in the same spot just to get beaten, Emi leaned backwards and put his entire force behind a kick towards the puppets chest.
The robed puppet flew several meters back, but some more projectiles were shot out of it as the kick landed. It seemed as if it had several nails left in its body and that they were released by pressure. So Emi decided to change tactics and started to perform a couple of handseals. The puppet did however not allow itself to go down that easily and dashed back to Emi before the young boy had been able to finish his handseals. The boy stopped moving his hands and prepared himself for an impact as the puppets arm came flying towards his stomach. Emi was very durable, so the following eight attacks didn't do much damage to him, it did however make blood pour out quicker from the wounds he had sustained. The blood-loss was starting to get itself reminded as Emi's vision was getting blurry and his limbs grew weak. His reaction was poor and he lacked the normal strength he used to have. But Zetsubô came rushing to his rescue and gave the puppet one of his forceful tackles. The puppet immediately broke and shot a final barrage of projectiles around.
