Entering the plains
T
he surroundings were quiet, dead and empty of anything worth caring about. The heat wasn't that intense, but as the young boy had been wandering around in the area for several hours without any shade he had become quite warm. He had been forced to make gather some water from the surrounding air a couple of times to make sure that he wouldn't become parched. As he walked over a small hill his hand instinctively grabbed after the chain of his companion, but it wasn't there. His feet hesitated before he realized that his friend wasn't with him. Where was he and where was his friend? He had been abandoned in the middle of nowhere, without his normal traveling equipment. His normal doubts about having a purpose in life arose as he couldn't even focus on the village or his friend. A lone tear dropped down from his cheek as the sadness overwhelmed him. After a few steps his feet lost all of their power and he fell down unto the rock-ground. The tears began to pour down faster and faster before he screamed out in grief. WHYYYYY???!!!?
The young sharkboy clenched his hands and slammed them into the ground. His beliefs had trembled and almost crashed apart just a few days earlier, so when the final things that actually meant something to him was taken away from him, it was too much. The loneliness was painful but the uncertain future was even worse. How far had he been taken? A few miles? doubtfully since it had been sunny for hours. Several weeks travels worth of distance would make more sense, and without any guidance he would just get even further away. His mind quickly turned around among his happy memories until there were only one left. The trembling in his upper body had stopped and his mouth opened wide as he remembered a small, intelligent and utter charismatic young girl. His body became slightly warmer. The memory of him guarding his Amekage during the meeting with the takikage had saved him plenty of times. It wasn't the pride for the mission he was, it wasn't even the honor of meeting kages, it was the fact that he had never felt such sensation by just looking at someone.
Emi shook his head as he tried to gather his emotions. The cryings had stopped and he had been able to return to a calmer state while his memory slipped by. She was out of his reach.... But she was a greater motivator. He had doubts about the village, the ninja system and even the loyalty of his friends, but he liked how he just wanted to be kind around ... that girl. Emi stumbled a few steps forward before he looked out on a large plain. There were some cliffs and vegetation around, but his eyes caught the glance of something in the far away distance. Something was moving and it was slightly too small to be a human. Since the territories were unfamiliar to him, he decided that he would need to take full precaution and expect hostility from the creature. So Emi allowed his skin to adapt to the surroundings, making him disappear almost completely into the darkness of the black robe he wore. Emi then combined his hands and made a concentration seal before lowering his chakra leakage to almost nothing, making it impossible for a sensor to distinguish it. He then dried of the tears with his sleave before sneaking forward, towards the movement while crouching in the tall grass. To any onlookers, it would just look like a lone black ANBU-like robe flapping in the wind.
