Leaving the main streets of Iwagakure, the high rocky buildings towered high in the sky. Each rounded point a roof made cast shadows along the streets that were a dull chocolate brown colour. Citizens zigzagged around each other, animals scurried even faster around the citizens while a dull grey mist shrouded the village showing evidence of an upcoming downpour. Amber eyes rose upward, peering further back toward the Rocky Mountains that housed Iwagakure no Sato.
A black silhouette darted alongside one of the buildings, following my direction as she moved upon silent padded paws. Dusk’s body remained low to the ground as she moved, her eyes occasionally moving from my position to the area in front or around her. Meanwhile I simply moved forward throughout the street, turning around corners which lead me closer toward the Tsuchikage’s tower. Although that was not my destination, I felt that by moving there, searching for my intended target may prove easier.
Today, I wore a bubble-gum pink steampunk corset over a pair of dark navy jeans. The sound of my stiletto boots created faint thump thump thumping sounds along the dirt ground as all four inches of heel struck its surface. I turn my head toward the right, my long ice blonde hair tied back into a high braid swung around my left shoulder and landed against my chest with a soft thawk. Fire engine red lips formed a hard line as I concentrated on searching for suspicious activity.
The sun shone onto my face, caused my Hitai-ate to glimmer softly from its position around my neck, and the black rhombus centred in the middle of my forehead to stand out against my ivory coloured skin. Aside from the modern clothes, I wore a chest rig knife harness strapped across my corset which housed ten kunai knives, beneath a cloak (type 1) which fluttered around my body like the cape it was. Inside the cloak I had ten knives. Just beneath the chest rig, I had a single butt bag (type 1) filled with four fragmentation grenades, two ice grenades, fifteen blood clot pills, another six kunai and a scroll with the map of the known world imprinted within the parchment.
I also had two medium scrolls which were both empty and strapped to my sides within a double scroll sized pouch. The pouch sat on the left side of my waist while the butt bag sat on the right. My back had a number of objects strapped to it as well; a medium sized field pack consisting of sixteen fifty mill vials and a pair of binoculars. My oversized fan remained strapped beside the pack, while I carried a heavy shield on my right arm.
My posture was straight, confident and proper as I strode through the streets. Did I look menacing enough to all those who were around me? Did I strike fear into the hearts of those who gazed upon me? My eyes flickered toward Dusk whom had landed beside me, keeping pace to my right. I knew that if I wasn’t scary enough, I knew Dusk would scare everyone else for the both of us.
