A certain chuunin had been moments away from making dinner for himself when he noticed something utterly horrifying. He didn’t have any milk. As much as Kiyoshi despised the cold weather of the winter months, he bundled up and decided to brave it so he could retrieve a particularly essential ingredient and delicious beverage. One of the nice things about preferring to wear kimonos was that they were nice and warm, the inner white part thicker than what he wore in warmer weather and the outer decorative piece the same as he usually wore. All of it had special slits in the back for his wings to for his wins to fit through, along with zippers that went from the hole up to his neck so he could zip the garments up to be more whole once his inflexible and large wings were in place.
Once dressed, he instructed the butterflies that had been lounging about his apartment to return to the blue flowers embedded within his arms, keeping them all within the loose cloth of his kimono so he could keep them warm despite the little things being resistant to cold already. He felt bad. Before he had butterfly wings himself he used to keep them within his sleeves to hide them, but now it wasn’t quite as useful since his wings and antennae sort of gave it away. Out of habit he brought his equipment as well- four Mateki in pockets on the inside of the outer piece of the kimono, three metal and one wooden. He also wore his utility belt, which held six blood clot pills, a wireless radio, twenty flint, thirty-five circular LED flashlights, four knives, a compass baseplate, and a pair of sniper goggles. In those goggles were eight lenses: times sixty zooming vision, thermal vision, night-vision vision, condition viewing vision, x-ray vision, camera vision, anti-flash lenses, and lie-detector lenses.
The genjutsu master picked the market closest to his home, not wanting to travel particularly far in this weather- especially since the sun was on the verge of setting and the air was getting colder by the minute. Soon as he entered the building, he went straight for the dairy section and was revealed when he spotted one jug of milk remaining. Kiyoshi was almost there, so close when someone else grabbed it. His milk. Blue eyes narrowed as he slowed to a stop, not even trying to hide his glare as he stared down the dark haired man who appeared to be around the same age.
“Hey, think you could give that to me? The only reason I came here was to get some milk,” Kiyoshi requested as he forced a pleasant smile on his lips, trying to act polite in hopes that the stranger would give him what he wanted. He had moved closer to the milk thief as well, making sure he got the guy’s attention.
