Amegakure lay behind him, slowly fading into the distance while his path to Kawa no Kuni lay before. He was hoping to cover the distance as quickly as possible, at the moment he didn't feel entirely safe due to lack of co-ordination back in the village. Without the Kage being around, things were in a bit of shambles. Yes, there was basic order, but beyond that things fell apart. Without that definite voice to make the harder decisions.

He cut through the fields as best as he could but without navigational assistance he was basing it purely on guess and a rough idea. He knew he had to head South but beyond that he was in a shaky spot. He hadn't taken the time to get a map, and his other one was currently out of reach. He was left to his mind and sense of direction, which is what worried him primarily.

Occasionally crops of trees would pass in the distance but otherwise the scenery remained mostly the same, rolling hills of greenery with dark clouds in every direction. Rain pouring down lightly.

Moved to Kawa no Kuni

The clouds thinned and the temperature rose steadily, his descent to the coast making it apparent he'd passed into Kawa no Kuni. Everything was calmer, much less dramatic. The green rolling meadows turned into golden fields with quiet streams splitting the landscape. He was still relatively direction-less, he had a rough idea but without compass or map his chances weren't great still, the progress to Kawa encouraging but not evidence.

His journey was light and easy, his mind distracted from the lack of changing surroundings. Occasionally however his mind would be pulled from the internal debate and focused on a local ruin long overtaken by nature. The sight fascinated him but didn't warrant investigation. If he knew a bit of the history from Kawa no Kuni there would be enough to tell him of it's origin. Without, he was left wondering what it's tale beheld. Instead his travels carried him away and forward.

The descent of the hillside told him he was getting closer to the coast, the ocean approaching in the distance. The weather had turned nice, all but a few small clouds had disappeared and been replaced by a vast blue sky. A small cabin located on the edge of the coast was his current landmark, his heading directly for it.

When approaching the cabin he noticed a dock reaching out, a boat tied off at the end. Upon the pier an older man handling some boxes, removing them from the boat and onto the dock. Kenshin approached the man and knelt to take a particularly heavy box. The old man thanked him and passed it on, allowing the hunter to take the box and stack it onto the others.

"Mighty kind of you. Can't say I get many visitors out here." He replied, taking Kenshin's hand as assistance to climb the pier. "Not convinced you want that many either Sir." Kenshin replied, a small smile upon his lips. A chuckle escaped the man. "That much I can agree with." The older man replied, his hands grasping a box and hauling it back along the dock towards the house. Kenshin followed suit, taking as many boxes as he could carry and followed.

When the duo have moved the majority of the boxes, the old man stopped outside of his house, he eyed the taller hunter. "So, what can I do you for?" He asked, curious and cautious. Kenshin laughed lightly, but replied. "I'm looking for a method to cross the ocean and make it to Umi no Kuni. More specifically Haha Island. I'm unfamiliar with Kawi no Kuni and not sure of any methods." He explained, turning to look out over the rolling waves.

"You're in luck. I can take you. I have a package to be delivered out there anyway, and it's only a few small boxes." The old man pointed to a pile nearby. "I was just heading that way. You can come along if you'd like." Kenshin bowed and thanked him, taking as many of the boxes he could carry and moving them to the boat.

Kenshin bowed and thanked the man, waving once as the boat disappeared back out into the ocean. He'd made it, now for registration.
