A Savior's Sacred Place has many places to be alone. The training ground is tucked against a pond, which is not small and looms for two acres. The sand and water meet in balance. The fronds of fallen palm trees hug the shore.

Description: The character with this skill is a storehouse of facts about the history of a region the size of a Country. For example, the character will know when the ruined tower on the hill was built and who built it (and what happened to him). He knows what great heroes and villains fought and fell at the old battlefield and what great treasure is supposed to be kept in a local temple. He knows how the mayor of the next town miraculously grew hair on his balding pate. A GM can provide information about local sites and events as the user requests it when pertaining to an Event. Furthermore, the user can try to retell these events as entering stories. Once the subject is chosen, they can attempt a skill check and, if successful, add that tale to their repertoire. The character can tell these stories to entertain others, however, telling stories to hostile beings is probably not going to do any good. Each time learned user gets 5 die roll to increase the skill.

The library within A Savior's Sacred Place was small, but there was abundant information on the history and culture of the village. Valerys could also find some books on the practices of the Land of Wind, and she became interested in the country. Officials told her to visit the city and see the monuments. She started by looking at a monument for the first Flower on Earth. The stone was old and starting to crack on the left side. Valerys brought out one of her books and began to read underneath the statue. The first Flower on Earth had established rules for the monarchy. She had been concerned with justice, and believed herself to be a goddess. Valerys found the information wildly useful, but tedious to get through.

Eyes of the statue glared into Valerys' mind. She continued to read about the reign of the monarchs. All of them had fanciful ideas of themselves, using their position as goddess to create leverage. She started to become absorbed in the books from the library. Walking along the village's downtown, Valerys was able to point out various statues of differing ages. She would look up the person in her book, read, and try to memorize the information. A thought came to her that knowledge is power, and Valerys could do resist her urges. She put herself into a trance where she could not stop reading. Fact and fact bombarded her, with the eyes of dead government leaders on her neck.

The stone slab behind Valerys looked heavy, but it felt even heavier. There were ropes around it that were strapped to her waist. By exerting extreme amounts of pressure, Valerys was able to move about a foot with the enormous stone. After that she needed to relax. She had only been out here for a few minutes. The taijutsu masters in the Sand Village talked about toughness training. Luckily, Valerys had hid along one of the back walls and listened. Listening was easier than pulling these damn boulders across the desert, however. The sun was not compromising, so sweat began to bead on Valerys’ neck immediately.

She took another step. The slab pulled against the sand and made extra weight. Valerys pushed off with her other foot, forcing herself to move further. She walked a meter. By that time her forehead was sprouting multiple veins of sweat against her caramel skin. The sun was darkening her prospects, but her body as well. Valerys pushed off with her feet again and walked another meter. The slab continued to pull against her body, making her muscles into a structured ornament of her desire. Right now she didn’t feel like a structure of her desire, however. She felt like a dehydrated idiot in the middle of the desert.

Pushing her shoulders deeper into the ropes, Valerys dug her soles into the sand and pushed again. The strain popped her spine and created pain in the shoulder blades. “Come on,” she said to no one in particular. A couple more steps and she had made it a meter and a half. Her armpits were beginning to smell. She unlaced the ropes and laid down on the ground. Every muscle, but especially those in the dip of her back, were sighing with relief. The moment of rest was only a moment, however, and nothing more. Valerys stood and pulled the ropes back around her body.

When the sun was going down, Valerys was standing at the bottom of a dune. The shade was beginning at her feet and had not made goosebumps yet. She braced her left knee against the ground and lifted her right foot. She dug her shoe into the sand for support. Leaning forward, she brought the ropes and stone slab forward. The dune resisted her movements, and the slab wanted to pull down. Valerys sucked in five, slow breathes. She focused on maintaining her position and not falling further down the dune. Homeostasis resolved. Valerys braced her right knee and lifted the left leg, a cycle that was beginning to become a pattern.

The stone slab was in front of her today. No longer would the bondage of the slab be held on her body. Now Valerys had to push. The masters said this was the way to train all the muscles. The first motion is the pull, and the second is the push. Her palms felt rough against the stone. Sand rubbed her skin and made for irritation. The dune was incredibly steep. Valerys shoved her feet to the ground and pushed. The slab wouldn’t even move. Dropping on to her knees, Valerys began to do push-ups. Her muscles increased slightly in strength, and she sat up. She pushed the slab again. This time it moved slightly uphill.

Valerys dug her right shoulder into the slab and tried to hold it there. If the stone were to fall, then her progress would be for nothing. Just standing against the slab was exerting additional force on her body, however, and she found the task daunting. Moving her shoulder, the slab fell down the hill and further back than it had started. “Shit,” Valerys said. She got behind the slab again and started to push. For the rest of the day she pushed a rock slab in the sun. Sweat began to drip into her eyes around noon, and by 3:00 she was saturated with stink and dirt and oil.

When she laid down for bed that night, Valerys had dreams about the mass of stone. It threatened to fall on top of her, with bouts of moss laughing at her weakness. The next morning she was able to push the slab halfway up the hill, however. Having succeeded at that, Valerys spent the rest of her day strengthening her body against the rigors of damage. She tried ramming into one of the sand dunes, bruising her shoulder on the first maneuver. Even as the pain of the force shot through her body, however, Valerys could feel proud that she was enduring more.

All of the subsequent rammings felt less painful because of the numbness in her shoulder. Valerys smacked into the sand dune three more times before allowing herself a moment of reprieve. Three more attacks after that, and Valerys could see blue rising up in her skin. The fifth time Valerys prepared her body by storing energy. Her shoulder tickled from the sensation, but remained calm as she molested the sand dune again. Although her body still endured the hardship, Valerys was not in nearly so much pain. By that time, she was forced to switch shoulders and the same process occurred for a second time. As she lay there at the end of the day, red hair mixing with the sand, Valerys could feel the bruises stretching around her back and shoulder blades.
