The trio moved towards the Ishi no Kuni village at a tempo best suited for the environ. With a natural lacking of water, coupled with the intensity of the sun, it was best for Mikutashi and the natives to continue along the stream path steadily and not rushing at any moment. Had the nukenin been traveling by his lonesome, then perhaps he would have swiftly traversed this area. His ebony claw-gauntlet glistened in the rising light of the sun, whose rays stretched just past the low peaks of surrounding mountains.
"So, where are ya from?" the inquiry came from the child Hanbei, who walked side-by-side Mikutashi, while the elder Gensei took the helm. The former low-ninja of Amegakure felt no need to tell this boy the truth; had word spread to the neighboring countries of Rain, then surely their hometown would see posters of the rogue Suikou. The atrous-clothed shinobi replied: "I come from the northern tundras of Shimo Kuni." The truth, but not one any from the Hidden Rain Village had ever heard of. The man suggested silence and so then Hanbei hushed up and pushed along.
Sometime during this excursion back to the village, Gensei spotted someone. His level of observation must have been beyond that of master, for it took even Miku a long while to notice the hunchback from the surrounding boulders. "Look.. I've never seen him before." The elder mentioned as the trio came to a cautious stop; behind a small cluster of stones did they gaze out towards the ever-closing in entity. Unafraid of any threat before him, Mikutashi jumped forward to confront this person. As the distance between them thinned, the body of the hunched person became less corporeal; it was almost as if though he had been a mirage; yet Suikou went on to interact with him.
"What do you seek, old man?" His right hand moved towards his short bladed tantou. Had any thing requiring a mid- to long-range assault, then the ex-genin had a pouch filled with shuriken and explosive tags. The small fire-kanji fan was not seen as an actual weapon, but an item of heritage; thus, it would remain in its position adjacent to the short sword had a battle arisen. Yet still, the cloaked man approached: Mikutashi's grasp on the tantou increased; his black eyes flared wildly. What a fool... The young former shinobi of Rain rushed forward, arms flung behind him as he picked up speed. In an instant, his right arm would fling forth and attempt to deliver a forceful punch to the chest of the man; to no avail. The blow literally phased through the hunchback and Mikutashi's eyes went agape with wonder. A bunshin?.... No... His chakra lore skill had been superb and so he knew it hadn't been an elemental or universal doppelganger. The white-eyes of Gensei were able to see from beyond the range of several meters and pierce through the man's constitution: he too realized that it was no mere clone.
Once Mikutashi noticed that this man was incorporeal and could not attack himself, he stayed his blows. The hunchback would then present a letter to the black-poncho'd teen; he snatched it quickly and scanned its contents:
The young man was stunned to see what lay furled in the scroll. Could this be all true? He wondered if at first the nation of Amegakure had sent after him a group trying to scare him, but that wasn't the case. This letter told him to head towards the north - Tsuchi no Kuni. Akuryo was supposedly in that great land mass, searching for whatever it was that Lord Wazaru had tasked him to do. Suikou could not fight the urge to flee in the wilderness, even after hearing the duo of Gensei and Hanbei shout after him. "Hey!" "Where are you going, bro?!" The eyes of Mikutashi had been set on higher things and had the creator of this letter did indeed know everything about him, he would force them to reveal it in due time. His medium-sized disk remained situated at his lower back as he bound over boulders and through the mountain terrain towards the north. Earth Country was his next destination.
"So it seems that fate has taken the young man elsewhere..." Gensei's hoary eyes lessened in acuity as he looked down at Hanbei; "Come, let us find another to save our village in this time of trouble."
