Tournament Stage 1

The first stage for the tournament. Reserved for Ryuusei Sai and Rosalie Marie Salt, the Champions of the God of Time and the Goddess of the Sun respectively. This arena features a water stage with multiple land platforms surrounded by empty spectator seating. The ring is a sphere of deep water approximately three hundred meters in diameter. Scattered throughout the ring are stone platforms, mostly wet and slippery from the moving waves, set randomly at a distance of about either meters from one another and are themselves circular in shape with a diameters of about three meters. Outside the ring the spectator stands comprise one half of the outer sphere. The bottom row of the stands are a height of fifty meters above the water and slopes an additional height of thirty meters over a distance of twenty meters. Behind the stands lies an endless forest, adjacent to the stands is an endless ocean of raging torrents.

Sai and Rosalie appear and stand at opposite sides of the arena on entrance platforms comprised of stone squares four meters by four meters. The platforms are steady and dry, no risk of slipping. Waves crash around the two. A somber swan song of nature, if one was to choose somewhere to die this place wasn't so bad. Their opponents are ahead of each other in plain sight. The battle was now.

High Blood Pressure //Enter “This portal will take you to your battlefield and present you with your opponent but be warned. Upon entering you will be unable to return until your opponent has been defeated…” The voice spoke, the sound like daggers in my mind. “You must kill them before you can move on. Once you are ready step through the portal. Take with you what you can. Take with you what you need. You will find no friends from this point forward. You will find only death or glory." Once those words were spoken and the group began to shift around anxiously, that was when the blinding light enveloped me… It robbed me off breath, sucked me out of the old ruins of the previous arena and removed me from existence. Strangely, I was unafraid of this and simply allowed the light to take me where it wanted me to go. But on the inside I could feel my heart beating 240 beats per minute; I was sure of it. The blinding light robbed me of all senses, I heard, saw, smelt and felt nothing. I was simply suspended in time, waiting for something to happen. I had ensured to take all my weapons with me, the black cloak (type 4) that shrouded my small body held 30 Kunai and 45 Bo-Shuriken. Small projectile weaponry that will no doubt become of use within the next few minutes. The black ankle-length kimono hugged my tucked in waist and incredibly large chest. The white sash was tied tightly around my waist, emphasizing my bosom to the point that should I so much as jump, my breasts may fall out. I had my Scimitar sitting in its scabbard attached to my left side while my butt bag (type 1) was attached to my right side; 30 Blood-Clot Pills and 10 Kunai safely inside and ready for use. Attached to my right wrist was a senbon bracelet filled with 57 senbon needles. As soon as the blinding light began to clear, the first sense that had returned to me was touch my feet – glad in white socks and black wooden geta – touched the wet, slippery ground. The next sense that arrived was my sense of vision, the ground I now stood upon was wet and made of concrete. Where was the sand? Smell came next: grass, dirt and water flooded my nose to the point when I fought the urge to cover my nose and mouth with my hand. But my hearing had taken it time in returning to me. The arena that I now stood in was a dome with empty spectator seats lining up my side of the arena and that of my opponent. Below me was water while 13 pillars of all shapes and sizes lined the would-be battlefield. And they all looked slippery. This told me that the geta and socks would need to go. Quickly I remove my footwear, leaving myself barefoot and praying that I would not regret it. After the geta were removed, I tug tightly onto my shield (heavy) to reposition it against my back and glanced around the arena more thoroughly with my plum coloured eyes. My long ginger-red hair was tied back into a braid which cascaded down over my left shoulder, secured with a black ribbon. Said ribbon was approximately 5 inches above my waist line. I also had a small black rhombus located in the dead centre of my forehead which continued to suck chakra out of my system and store it there. But will I be using that stored chakra today? “It’s alright, Rosie.. You can do this..” I murmur to myself, only to myself because truthfully I was petrified just what exactly did I get myself into? I peer out across the arena, my gaze searching for my opponent. I only hoped it wasn’t Runeska or Akivasha.. People I knew and cared about. Akivasha is my student, a fellow medical ninja. But I knew little about her. And Runeska was a Kamyuja shinobi whom reigned from Iwagakure before the alliance was ambolished. I considered both Runeska and Akivasha as friends and would not be pleased to fight them. But if it meant my survival, then I would fight to win. Not for my Goddess, but for myself. Those two were special, the rest remained unknown and therefore larger threats. But who was going to my opponent and are they worrying about the choice to kill, or are they the kind of person who simply doesn’t care? So many questions left unanswered.. As he passed through the portal, he took notice of his surroundings…and his opponent. A former acquaintance and him were to battle to the death. He wondered if this would have any implications on their Village relationships. If he won here, he would have to also silence the other Taki kunoichi as well. He took in his surroundings. Not much solid land here though there was a lush forest as far as the eye could see beyond their little arena. There was also an endless sea next to the coliseum as well. Given only the few platforms that were here, this would be an aerial battle unless one of them decided to take it to woodland or sea.

His Rumble Regalia and greaves equipped, he made sure he was ready for this. As he did so, he double checked his vest and belt again, just to make sure nothing had been lost on the way here. He had 3 blood clot pills, 1 soldier pill, 16 kunai, 10 shuriken, 10 explosion tags, 3 lightning tags, 3 ice tags, a smoke pouch, an incendiary grenade, a gas mask in them. Holstered at his right side would be a tower shield reinforced large umbrella he deemed Rasen, equipped with 20 senbon, and his trusted katana, Shoujin.

With one arm across his chest, he gave a slight bow. This was a show of silent respect to someone who was obviously well respected in her own right. Then he put his palms together. He also took the time to make some checks what he could before the battle began. Was there anything in this arena out of place? Did anything about her or on her person strike him as particular or knowing? In these battles, Sai could not afford to miss a single detail.

As the waves crashed the Goddess of Governance watched on from her position in the heavens. A clash between both beauty and time, truly a battle for the ages. Would beauty trounce time and become forever elegant or would time prevail over all things just as it had in the past. As the two prepared themselves they would feel a sensation build within them as the battle came to a start.

Ladies First When the light appeared at the opposite end of the arena my opponent appeared, petting themselves down as if to see whether they had lost anything during the short travel from the old ruin to this one. I squinted to see if I recognised them or not and was disappointed when I found that I have indeed seen this guy somewhere. A man reigning from Amegakure no Sato. A village whom were no longer allies with Takigakure. So in a way it no longer meant that I should care, but if I remembered correctly, this guy was one of the young ninja whom had accompanied the Amekage during our meeting. And by God he was gorgeous! “Sai, isn’t it?” I ask, my voice pleasant despite the realisation of having to kill him to proceed to the next round struck me. But if I remembered correctly, Sai had no ill attitude toward me during that meeting; instead it was the other ninja that seemed desperate to draw blood. That just made things harder when I pondered on the memory. He bowed nonetheless which I returned respectfully. “Just so you know, it is nothing personal and that I wish you the best of luck.” I say, giving away my trademark smile. I was upset about having to fight someone I had briefly met, but the kid did deserve some respect. But whether he replied to me or not, the moment the Goddess’s presence became known, I knew the fight had just begun. Without wasting further time, my fingers would race through a series of handseals while my chakra burst from within me. As it rose up to my throat, my right hand moved to cover my mouth before I blow out a large fireball; the only ranged technique with destructive capabilities in my arsenal. The moment the fireball left my lips, and with my chakra pooling around in my legs, I use the temporary distraction to jump high into the air with the aid of a shunshin, pulling out a kunai as I did so. With Sai directly in front of the fireball – hopefully -, I give my wrist a sharp flick, releasing the kunai with deadly effect with the intention of striking his right hand. However, during my descent I land upon the side of the arena right where the edge of the spectators seats were located, drawing another kunai as I did so. Around 50 metres to the right of Sai’s current/former position, I throw another kunai toward his left hand before a third kunai toward his chest. I then jump over the edge of the spectator’s seats and run around the side of the arena in order to get closer to him. The fireball was designed to destroy the platforms along the arena’s grounds - and to serve as a distraction -, rendering the battlefield to nothing but flattened water. So if Sai was required to venture further into the battlefield, he would need to travel upon the water. The only source of land left over are the platforms where both Sai and I had landed upon during our transportation to this arena. However, after a few moments of dashing around the side of the arena, I stop running and crouch down 20 metres to Sai’s right, hopefully out of sight for now. The moment the Takikage had returned his greeting, the battle kicked off as expected. From his eyes, he could see that she was performing hand seals. Regardless if it was an offensive or defensive ninjutsu, the Chuunin had to get moving. The kill or be killed aspect plunged his mind into a deafening focus. His Rumble Regalia accelerated and had him disappear from the spot with the power of a Shunshin. A great flame hurled itself at the spot where he was standing. When he landed on the spectator stands to his left, he saw that the kunoichi was firing off kunai at him, both in the air and as she landed. There was still a decent distance between the two so he maneuvered himself to evade. His adept change in movement as he kept moving allowed him to build up inertia in his Regalia. He also took the chance to build up his chakra.

1 kunai, 2 kunai. By the time the attacks had finished, she had moved out of sight. But he had tracked her movements as best as he could. Having a good guess of where she was, somewhere to his right, he kept his distance between the two of them to the 20-25 meter range. He activated his Sensor abilities at this time. Unless if she had managed to put a serious amount of distance between the two of them, he would find her and verify the distance between them. The instant he located her, he ran to put himself in a position where it would difficult for her to see him. He couldn't see color now but he could still distinguish the geography well enough to estimate her line of sight from where she was.

Just for good measure, he invoked a favorite technique of his. She should be in range so he would make himself invisible to her while moving away from the spot she would last see him, if she was even looking. His direction was towards the top of the stands. As he moved, he summoned 2 halos that hovered just above the ground right by his feet, taking a color as similar as he could will it to the stands. After all, it would defeat the purpose of his last technique should it be as bright as it normally was. He would make his way silently towards the edge of the stands while activating his next technique. 80 tendrils from each of the halos would sprout out and take on an invisible color as they shot themselves towards her. By this time, his Regalia had taken him over the edge of the stands. He may have no longer been invisible when his Dhenada tendrils shot off but he was confident that he would be beyond her line of sight at this point. With that many tendrils shooting towards her, he had willed it so that they would surround her from all angles instead of just a straightforward approach.

He started to gracefully slide down the wall of the coliseum facing the woodlands as he monitored to see if he had successfully captured her.

Caught In A Snare Well Sai did not speak, instead he seemed to simply move straight into the battle without further ado. I noticed the shunshin immediately as he moved away from my kunai, my attention scanned the arena thoroughly until I found him in the spectator seats a good 20 metres away. He seemed to move in such manner that it could not be some sort of jutsu (Know Ability Check). Perhaps multiple shunshin, or a taijutsu style increasing the speed of the body? This told me that speed was on his side, which meant that I needed to be more sharp in my senses. As he appeared for the first time, I flick my right wrist sharply releasing a senbon straight toward his diaphragm. The angle in which I threw the senbon would – if successfully struck – send him backward and upward sharply, exposing him while he was temporally airborne. The blow would not kill him, but wind him. During that moment, both my hands would shoot up in front of me, fingers forming the rectangular handseal as I did so. My inner spirit would latch onto Sai’s with an attempt of invading his body to the point when he would be overcome by my will. If contact was successful, Sai would be under my complete control. My first instruction would be for him to approach me directly by walking, using the pathway along the inner rim of the arena where I was capable of seeing him and keeping him within my rectangular handseal. I would allow him to approach me until we stood 4 metres apart before I instruct him to stop walking. During that time, I would approach him myself, break the jutsu and focus a brief amount of chakra into my fingertips before touching his chest - as he was coming to from being released by the jutsu - releasing the chakra as I did so. If the contact was also successful, Sai would immediately fall asleep as he stood. With a kunai in hand, I would then end the battle by plunging the blade of the weapon into his skull. Sai decided to end this long range standoff. While continuing to run so that he wasn't a sitting duck, he drew his large umbrella out, opening it as he did. It was a rather large weapon that bore Amegakure's symbol as it blossomed forth to its full circular width, 7 meters in diameter. It had been reinforced to be the point it was as strong as a Tower Shield. As he opened it, he lowered his position so that it would cover his whole body while he was dashing. Then he unleashed a mighty aura that covered him from head to toe. Right after, he activated another Shunshin.

As he had been doing his run, his path was towards circling around to her from the left of the arena, following the spectator stands. He didn't need to see her to know where she was, due to his Sensor abilities. With the release of the umbrella that was shielding him from her eyes, it would seem as if he had disappeared. If the senbon hit the umbrella, that would add to the illusion of his disappearance. His shunshin gave him a sharp 90 degrees cut to his right. In his experience with Busosen, a movement like that often caught the opponent off guard. He ended up 15 meters away from her and unleashed his kick as he reappeared, creating a great tornado that fired off straight for her. The inertia had been built up from his previous movements since she kept him zipping around. As he did so, he saw that she was activating an all too familiar technique to him. He hoped that launching his trick from a distance where she wasn't expecting him to be would be enough for her to lose her focus. The tornado was picking up debris after all and could cloud her vision of him. While he couldn't see it, he knew that her spirit was headed straight for him if she had followed his movements.

Remodelling is in order OOC: Saiyuki ; dear you didn’t state that you had a tech prepared in your last post. That isn’t really fair on me, because I believed that you didn’t have anything prepped. So may I ask the next time you decide to prepare a technique for the next round, can you state unknown tech prepared in a spoiler for future reference for me please? Also, I must apologize for the wait, I had 2 assessments due on the same day (today) and was working on them throughout the weekend. IC: Sai was a crafty shinobi and was very quick on his feet. That, I did have to admire about him. But the constant shunshin were beginning to annoy me. The umbrella blocked not only my projectiles, but his entire body from view as well, and as he moved I was beginning to grow further annoyed. He decided to move in toward me from the left, using his umbrella as a shield as he did so. But what struck me as odd was the fact that he had disappeared. Rather than waiting for him to move around the whole arena to reach me, I suddenly dash forward with the aid of a shunshin (counter 2|3) knowing what my senses were telling me. All the while, my chakra was building in my right hand with such force that it was visible to the naked eye. Sensations of immediate danger was primarily focused directly in front of me, but I had no intentions in attacking Sai head on. Instead, the moment I step out of the shunshin – just as Sai stepped out of his - I notice that Sai is roughly 15 metres away from me and is raising his leg as if to deliver a kick. As he raised his leg, I thrust my glowing hand into the spectator seating separating us and release all of my stored chakra before leaping out of the forming crater, forming a brief set of handseals as I did so. While raising, two large wings sprout from my back and give one hard flap as they did so. Immediately the entire left side of the arena would sink in and large chunks of it would raise high into the air as the structure started to dishevel and fall apart. Sai’s tornado should be disrupted against the force of my blow and the damage would branch out in a radius of 30 feet. If I am correct, at least two thirds of the entire arena would be destroyed by my attack. This also meant that should Sai continue to remain in his current area, he will be buried by the arena itself. Description: The user slowly rotates their lower arm as they gather an obscene amount of chakra into one fist. So much chakra, infact, that its actually visible! A transparant blue orb that resembles fire radiates around three inches from the hand. After winding up their attack for about five seconds, they suddenly strike their opponent, fist moving extremely swiftly and causing catastrophic damage. The user attacks with such a force that it usually damages the land within a 30 foot radius of the user.
Limit: Can only be used three times in each battle. Must be atleast Champion level and know all C-rank techniques.

Tsubasa Sodachimasu no jutsu (Wing Grow Technique) [10]

Effect: Lets the user grow wings of a bird out of their shoulders.
Special: Ram
Drawback: The user may feel some pain, due to the initial outburst of the extra shoulder bones that are used for the rest of the wings to grow on. Cannot Re-grow wings that were ripped or severed from the body. If one wing is removed then it is impossible to retract the wings. If a wing is injured somehow, once retracted they cannot be used for 2 weeks OOC.
Description: The user forms the handseal, and then the extra shoulder bones that come from the Ritual of Talon and Feather burst through the back of the user and they start to grow into wings of any given bird, through chakra increasing the length of the bones, (user chooses) that are twice the length of the user’s arms. Chakra will numb the pain, but it will still hurt. The chakra will also accelerate the growth of the skin, but it will come out with feathers, having stimulated the chemical. The user may then use the wings to fly and perform other techniques that require this jutsu. When the Tsubasa wishes it or has an injured wing they can retract the wings into their body to heal over time or simply to hide them.
Limit: Must be a Tsubasa, must have Ritual of the Talon and Feather performed on them.

Description: This training will allow the Tsubasa to control their wings properly after growth. Without the training control of the Tsubasa's wings will be jerky and extremely difficult. The control will be harsh enough that the Tsubasa will be unable to fly without it and merely have the wings for show. With the simple exercises and control methods taught by the experienced Tsubasa, the user will rid them self of the problem of controlling a new appendage and be able to use their wings as if born with them naturally.
Limit: Must be a Tsubasa, must know Wing Grow, must have Ritual of the Talon and Feather performed on them.

OOC: Yes, I had asked around regarding that and I guess my question wasn't specific enough, sorry about that. And no problem, hope your assessments went well.

As the two prepared techniques against each other, Sai could tell she was not the type to push through with a technique, instead adapting to the situation. What he noticed next shocked him. His Sensor abilities told him that there was a great deal of chakra in that punch she just unleashed upon their arena. Close combat did not seem that appealing anymore. Should the battle come into that, it would be the speed of his Battojutsu versus her insane strength.

The impact of her fist shattered the area, rendering the ground no longer stable. He jumped back and into the air, activating his ability to fly as the tornado pushed through. It was weakened by the blow but would continue to whirl in the air, intercepting the largest of the wreckage in his direction. (A rank versus B rank, right?). With the combination of the debris and the tornado wreaking havoc on visibility, Sai couldn't rely on his eyes to find where she was. But he could sense that she was heading skywards, so in the middle of his jump. he tapped into his inner wings to follow her. The moment he reached the height of where the debris and tornado was, he used another Shunshin to avoid her eyes. If they had flew at the same speed, he would be above her now, roughly in the 5-10 meter range in terms of height. In terms of actual distance between the two, he was 20 meters away.

There he focused an ability on her, that should it hit, would force her downwards. He had seen some people resist it as well so this was a gamble. But it would put him in an advantageous position and raise the probability of his next move succeeding. The move itself could be deadly since she may be unable to control her descent into the watery ruins. Regardless of what would happen next, he put his hands together in a similar fashion as she had done before. Should this one hit, he would simply command her to be still, whether it was in the air or on top of the water, assuming she used chakra to stand on top of the ocean if she fell.

Skies and Debris At the 20 metre mark, the moment the ground had shattered my final handseal was completed and chakra was swimming around inside my mouth. A large fireball rained down upon Sai’s area immediately, while my body curled into a semi-foetal position and my large wings rose higher into the air. I give my body a hard jerk downward straightening my arms and legs completely, propelling myself upward just as my wings flapped down with tremendous force. The movement shoved me further upward into the air another 10 metres to avoid the opening of Sai’s tornado. The explosion of the fireball would have completely destroyed the remainder of the arena, thus rendering this entire area useless. Sai’s tornado would be engulfed in the flames, spanning its 20 metre height and 5 metre width in the form of a flaming tunnel. That, plus the explosion caused by my fireball would span out at roughly 20 metres, leaving nothing in its wake. During the fireball-drop, Sai would have been reacting to the arena being destroyed by leaping high into the air, so therefore he would have been burnt badly. On another note, his tornado would also be increasing the damage of my fireball and further damaging the area. From my current position 30 metres high in the air, my calculations showed that Sai’s chances of getting out of this scot-free were slim to none. Drawback: Depending on the Rank, is dependent on how strong or how much the user is capable of doing with the Goukakyuu no Jutsu.
Description: The user quickly performs a few handseals. The user then places the hand over their mouth creating a small like circle. This technique in turn is then to help the user control the great flame. The use then blows out and creates a large fireball that twice the size of a normal human body. When the "C" Rank version is first learned the user is only capable of blowing out the Great Fireball that is cannot be moved or go anywhere else. This also means that the technique does not explode in a fiery explosion, but burns greatly to anyone that is caught within the technique. When the user learns the "B" Rank version then the user is capable blowing the Great Fireball into the distance, sending it away from the use it to hurl towards the very opponent. This technique is only capable of going into a straight line and this is capable of having the size three times the size of a human body. This technique when launched at an opponent then becomes dangerous because at this point the technique can explode causing damage that is even more devastating.

Description: Focusing energy into the muscles of their legs and wings, a Tsubasa bends at the knees and thrusts upwards with their legs, while at the same time slamming their wings downward with great force. The combined force of these movements accelerates their body upwards with great speed. This movement is fast enough to avoid many attacks, but serves a greater purpose of allowing the Tsubasa to get airborne in a split second, when it might otherwise be impossible.
Limit: Must be a Tsubasa.

I've been asked to make a ruling and I would also like to note that what happened could be pretty damned awesome.

Now Sai has leapt after Rose with a gusto and he's attempting to bring her back down to the ground with the heavy burden. Now Nat's has not mentioned that at all in her post so this is where things get interesting. Seeing as though she's being forced to the ground by heavy burden, her flap of her wing does not propel her up and out of the way of the explosion so she's at severe risk of being caught up in her own technique. This is how I see things unfolding.

As Rosalie takes to the sky, Said follows her using his soul to propel him upward and bring her back down to the earth but his eyes, he cannot see. He doesn't notice that Rosalie has formed hand signs and is building her chakra so he leaps right into the path of an incoming fireball which flows down from the heavens and explodes upon contact inflicting 45 points of explosive fire damage (60x.5x1.5). Rosalie tries to outrun the explosion with a mighty beat of her wings however she finds her wings are unable to push her upward. She seems far too heavy for her wings to carry and she falls down and into her own explosion taking 45 points of exploding fire damage herself.

Two things of note her:

1) Sai still has the ability to dodge the technique however due to its size and the fact that he's flying it would be very difficult to do such a thing but I encourage creativeness.

2) I will roll a check for the heavy burden. If Nat's fails the written scenario takes effect and she falls into the explosion however if she passes she is able to beat her wings and get away. I'll post the check in the next post.

Outside of this, the actual damage inflicted by the jutsu is serious but not life threatening. It would reduce the ability to move but I assume you guys have buffs against damage to reduce it to something manageable.

Sai asked a question about his bankai in regard to activation etc. His bankai is active and gives him a bonus of 280 points. The attack inflicted 45 points of damage so he still has 235 points of armour etc.

It seemed that Sai's technique had reached its target. However he did not expect another large burning sphere to be launched towards him. She seemed rather fond of this, seeing as that had been her opening move as well. He flew as best as he could to avoid being hit head on by the fireball. He did so by flying even further back from where he had been and going in the opposite direction of the tornado he had launched earlier. But the resulting explosion still reached him. Thankfully he had the peace of mind that an attack he had seen before would not be able to break his aura of protection. While it lost some of its durability, he had suffered no harm to his body. Then he looked for his opponent.

While he could see, he used his Sensor abilities to verify that she was falling, her wings having been rendered ineffective with his earlier spell. She was heading for her own explosion. Even though he had not expected a situation like that to unfold, Sai decided to make the best of it. In the midst of a sudden downward descent towards exploding flames and the water that was beneath it, she was in a rather disadvantageous position to to avoid the incoming attack. He decided that trying to control her body now was not the best move and placed his hands on Shoujin, readying the most deadly swordsmanship he was capable of.

A instantaneous flash of light reflected off the blade and then it was back to being sheathed. Using both his eyes and his Sensor abilities to get a feel for the speed of her fall and where she was so she would be in the center of his attack, he fired off a blade storm that rained down on upon her at the same time she would make contact with the explosion. In her position, she would have to deal with gravity and the flames below her as well as the attack from above. And while she could no longer move across the sky, there was still that burning tornado to one side of her. She was indeed stuck between a rock and a hard place. But Sai did not think himself victorious. He flew over to the top edge of the spectator, touched down and started to move along the edge to gather inertia. All the while, he closely monitored her movements and responses to his pincer attack. If she survived this, then he had to be ready to end her the moment she got out. There would be no mercy, only unrelenting ruthlessness.

As he prepared for his opponent to pull off a defensive technique, it seemed that she couldn't. Both her own attack and his connected, to his surprise. And it was not a pretty sight. The combination of burning flames and deadly bladestrokes engulfed her completely. From the damage he was seeing, it would tough for even him to recover enough to keep fighting without some recovery time. From what he could see, they hit her head on, without any damage mitigation. As his spell was still in effect, she kept her downward course after the damage was done. Both flame and blade faded into air as her motionless body fell headfirst into the water.

Sai was still in minor disbelief. While each of his moves had killing intent, he thought it would far more difficult to do in a former Kage level shinobi. He wondered if she had been harboring something that had affected her combat ability. Regardless, it was over. Nothing rose to the surface and he sensed that he was the only living creature for a long distance. He took flight once more and asked the sky a question.

"God of Time, I have done your bidding. Who will be next?"

Victory

Victory was achieved despite what would be considered a lackluster ending. As Sai stood over the dying Takikage, the fallen Waterfall Leader's heart would beat its final thump and then, in that moment, before the victor would appear a portal of twisting energy and purple light. It was easily recognisable as the portal that had brought the Champions to their specified locations so it was easily concluded that this portal would allow for passage into the next. Despite the victory and the man's enpuiries the Gods would stay ever quiet, spectating, but oh so silent. There were no words of praise, no pats on the back, no nothing like that. IN this place, in this battlefield, there was one thing and one thing alone. The next fight. This was a war, a war of the Gods and the portal before the victor was merely the gateway to the next war zone.
