The town of Kusa was as calm as always, not much currently going on since the summer had just started; academy was out, so the kids were wandering around, and parents were enjoying their time with them. The day was partly cloudy, with a slight breeze that smelled of wildflowers, a hint of purity traveled with. It was a relaxing day, one that anyone could enjoy some training time with people that they cared to train with, though Zeri didn't really have that many people that he could train with. In fact, he didn't really have anyone to train with that were within the village, a lot of them taking on missions and leaving when they were able to. Which is sad, due to him having wanted to test out his new Cestus and Greaves, they could add some good oomph to his attacks. This made his time here rather lonely, so he usually trained outside the city to just be alone and do everything that he was able to, to be useful. Perhaps while he was out here, someone would randomly join him for some training.
The area he would decide to train at this time would be near his little retreat, but he needed a difference in scenery for this. So he decides that the better place would be with some larger rocks, each one a different size and height; the types of training he could do here could be rather fun if he put his mind to it. Walking over to one of the rocks, he would unhook his waist pack with all the small stuff in it, placing this down along side his Ketsueki... he needed to learn some way to use him in combat at some point. He decided to keep on him the pouches which held his Shuriken, Kunai, and Senbon; for just in case reasons. But for right now, he believes it time to continue his mental traveling into the paths of the Gates; by opening the next gate, the Gate of Healing. From what he understood, that this gate was blocked by Guilt, knowing full well why he wasn't able to open it as easily as the first gate, which was blocked by fear... time to get over himself.

Hopping up onto one of the larger rocks in the area, Zeri would sit on top of it in a cross legged fashion, getting into a small pose that would be for meditation; his hands resting comfortably on his knees as he breathes slowly. For him to do this, he would have to figure out everything that he was feeling guilty about, and come to terms with them. There really shouldn't be that much that he felt guilt over though; he wasn't one to question his actions or anything like that, and his past was forced on him at the time, thus he didn't have much choice in any of the matters. Though there were some times where he had lost his control and things didn't quite go as he had wanted; there were some things he felt guilt for, he just didn't know why or how to come to terms with them.
His mind was slowly working through everything that it could, his breathing becoming slow and deliberate with the simple rhythm of meditation. Seven in that is held for five, then nine out with another hold of five, this was repeated with a slow precision. It wasn't that hard to keep up with this, as he has been able to meditate for a while now, having been taught back in the days of the Pitt by the Geezer to prepare him to take over the Vayist cause. The Geezer... there was one of the few guilts that Zeri had, the guilt over having let the old man die such a pitiable death. He died protecting Zeri and the other slaves, keeping them from being whipped to death by a horrid over boss that didn't have much in the ways of brain, but knew how to throw around his brawn. A soft growl comes from him as he recalls that fat tub of lard; he wanted nothing more than the pleasure of that man dying by his hands. The Geezer had brought him down with him to hell, a final battle that he should be proud of.
It wasn't Zeri's fault though, he was just a child at the time and wasn't as powerful as he is now, didn't have the same moves that he had now. He barely knew how to throw a proper punch, let alone anything else at the time. Course it was because of this Zeri was able to unlock the first gate, by deciding that it wasn't worth it being afraid, that being brave was what he had needed to destroy those before him. But was this what was wanted for him, was it the will of the Geezer that he was to change the arena of his fighting from underground to this of an open sky. A soft sigh comes from Zeri as he looks up at the open sky above him, reaching up to lower the mask that covers his face, and takes in a deep breath of the clean air. Guilt or no, he was more powerful than anything that his mind could force him to face, and he was willing to look the death of his teacher in the face and force it to go away.
