After a few more seconds of fiddling, Chizu finally felt like she can actually try throwing the rocks now. A quick glance around to make sure none of the older men would be in her way or range, she steadied her stance and finally let her body flow through the complete motion. Rock gripped in her more comfortable “handle” grip, she twisted her body slightly and brought her arm adjacent to her head, her eyes located the spot that she wanted to hit.
The hard part was actually hitting the rock, she knew that she had trouble focusing on distant targets, but the boulder had a nice natural dark spot that stood out enough for her eyes to catch it. Making sure that she was relaxed and calm, Chizu finished the throw the way her body was trained to, sending the rock hurling towards boulder at an expected speed. Chizu watched as hit smacked into the target, not dead center, but not hitting any of the normal stone either. The child frowned, but brushed it off and grabbed another oval-ish rock that was sharp. She tossed it a few times to get its weight, then fell back into the throwing stance. This time she held the rock by its “blade”, wanting to test how this would work as well.
Again, Chizu went through the motions, targeting the same spot that she went for last time. Idly, she wondered if she was damaging her throwing rocks by doing this, she hopes that a end won't snap off and go flying into her eye or something. That’ll suck, anyways, the child threw the rock at her target with a little more force than she intended. It spun and cracked into the boulder at little off from the dark spot, rebounding off into the grass. The child shook her head and started looking for another rock. She knew that she had to hit dead center at least one of these times, even if she planned to use throwing as a means to make openings, she still wants to be able to hit her targets dead on.
Picking a more rounder, flat rock off the ground. Chizu prepared to throw a bullseye, not wanting all of her attacks to be near misses or off hits. She needs to be able to rely on her throwing skills in battle if that times comes, she can’t afford to be sloppy. The Child focused on the target and let her rock fly, watching carefully as it hit the targeted area as she hoped. Though… It hit yet, but it still wasn’t a bullseye.
