Growing up as Hoshigaki meant a lot of time in water training to familiarize and gain comfort after the rituals. Despite their affinities for water Yuma prefers to stay dry and rathers physical force to help him before turning to water ninjutsu. During his training he connected stronger with the strength of the shark than the spirit. From what Yuma has learned about the world of wrestling is confidence. He fights confidently due to the time training with his brother despite being a beginner.
Yuma is used to being in control and likes to have a plan going into most things. When they are fused it is rare that Yuma will give control to Katsuro. Through his time in ninja academy Yuma would strategize for upcoming tasks and create study plans for the tests over the years. Just before graduating the academy Yuma and Katsuro discovered wrestling and set out to become the best duo wrestling team.
Growing up as the "younger" brother didn't distance Katsuro from his brother but often found himself trying to be different. The first noteable difference is that Katsuro is a bit more abrasive to those in authority. Although Katsuro tends to let Yuma lead while fused this is because of their brotherly bond. There have been times where Katsuro has needed to step in to help with certain situations.
While his older brother Yuma enjoys being physical Katsuro saw the potential of the water release. He also saw it as a means to play pranks on his brother and others. In the end Katsuro likes to pull pranks on his brother. However he has the same drive to become a powerful wrestler with his brother. After becoming a Hoshigaki Katsuro embraced the spirit and strength of the shark perhaps utilizing both better because he has no dislike for water.
With his older brother always trying to plan everything. Katsuro found himself being the trickster. His brother would often go into his own world for planning. While seperated Katsuro often found himself looking for trouble to get into. He would set up pranks in ninja academy and often found Yuma chastising him to be more serious. At thirteen years old Katsuro likes to try to stay carefree and let Yuma stress.
There is one thing that Yuma and Katsuro both share. It is the loyalty to one another. Aside from being Dioskouri, Yuma and Katsuro have done everything together. They don't let anyone mess with the other brother. This has gotten both into trouble before but it hasn't made their bond any weaker. The twins are also very loyal to those they pledge themselves too. When Yuma and Katsuro find someone worth value in their eyes they will treat them like they would their brother.

Yuma and Katsuro and nearly identical twins. Yuma and his brother both have short brown hair and light blue eyes. The twins used to have a slightly tanned skin tone. Yuma will usually do nothing to his hair and just try to keep it neat. While Katsuro likes to spike his hair up in the middle. When the twins are together their more resembles Katsuro. Neither of the twins has begun to grow facial hair or know when that may begin.
Their parents said that Yuma has warm eyes where Katsuro has a more piercing gaze. Despite being the older twin Yuma is shorter only by an inch. Yuma stands at 5'5" and Katsuro will never let him forget that he is 5'6". You can tell from the physique of the twins that they have trained hard to keep their bodies strong for wrestling. The twins have a slightly larger build weighing 135 pounds.
After the twins undertook the ritual of the shark their appearance changed. Their skin changed to a dark blue. Katsuro has a guilty grin which is when you'll notice his sharp teeth as he grins. Yuma and Katsuro both wear their headbands around their necks. This often blocks the view of their gills. One distinct difference is Yuma's scar on his right arm from their mountain climbing accident.
The apparel that Yuma and Katsuro wear has been changing recently. While in ninja academy the twins often just wore t-shirts, shorts or pants depending on the weather. They had some equipment for "missions" including a main bag and a side pack for medical gear. The twins learned early on it never hurts to have a some medical help when they were out exploring. With Yuma and Katsuro now pursuing wrestling as one of their main focuses they intend to done new outfits.
The twins are undecided on colors to go with however they plan to create matching outfits. Once they have the opportunity to stop at a shop the twins will buy new footwear, gloves, headgear in the forms of masks to ensure you cannot differentiate the twins in battle. Their parents lived away from the village of cloud because they wanted to live a quietier life away from the village. Due to the crops and fishing that their parents did they were able to live in luxury money was never an issue. However Yuma and Katsuro's parents were quite frugal and would not so willingly give up money without a reason.
The brothers did everything together growing up. Their parents were part of the Hoshigaki clan and swimming was one of the first activities they were taught. Although Yuma didn't like water as much as his younger brother Katsuro, Yuma still learned to keep his parents happy. The twins were taught early about the Hoshigaki clan early on as they had no choice. The parents began training in the mountain simple skills and how to gain a basic control over the water element.
Once Yuma and Katsuro turned eight their parents would let the twins explore the mountain side by themselves. The time they spent in the mountains was a mixture of exploring, finding new sites and sparring on the mountain side. One afternoon the boys were climbing a mountain. After reaching the top the two sparred. It was still taking a little while to get used to the boosted abilities that the ritual unlocked to them. While they were practicing it began to rain. Not wanting to get caught too long in the rain the twins began their descent down the mountain back towards their home.
During their descent Yuma lost his gripping and fell several feet his arm scraping the side out of the mountain during the fall opening a large cut. Katsuro quickly got to where Yuma had fallen. There was a lot of blood and unsure of what to do Katsuro remerged with his brother taking control to quickly bring him home. Although Yuma got a nasty scar on his arm there was no permanent damage. From that day on Yuma carries a medical bag with him incase he or his brother were in a similar predicament.
When Yuma and Katsuro turned ten their scenery changed. Yuma and Katsuro were moved out of the house and with their parents moved to a home they owned in cloud village. It was weird for the twins right away having been so isolated. Both were enrolled in ninja academy where they learned further techniques and made some friends. The family still went for vacations to the mountains but stayed inside the village more often.
During their several years in the ninja academy Yuma and Katsuro trained both their bodies and their ninjutsu skills to be able to fully draw the power given to them at birth. It was in their final year before becoming genin that their parents made them a deal. If they graduated they'd be given a sum of money to buy whatever gear they needed. In this last year of the academy the twins were especially focused it was a rare chance to get a large amount of money from their normally frugal parents. It was in this last year that the boys discovered the fighting style they liked. One day they were taught grappling and other wrestling techniques. Although still very beginnner the twins found they formed a strong team when facing a 2v2 matchup. With this realization the boys finished their last year with a goal for the money. They wanted to create matching outfits along with gearing up with some helpful tools as their ninja careers began.
