Porthos Gladiatorial ring - Senri School

[Ryutatsu "Sakurai Sword"]

A small Gladiatorial ring was bought and set up by Ryutatsu in the city of Port Porthos. It stretched 100 meters by 50 meters. Here Students of the Senri School, Shinobi or Not could demonstrate their martial skill. It was entertainment, gambling, and business for the busy port but more importantly it was a way to earn money and contracts for those that participated. It wasn't unusual to hire those that participated as mercenaries or guards.

Gladiator games offered their sponsors extravagantly expensive but effective opportunities for self-promotion, and gave their clients and potential voters exciting entertainment at little or no cost to themselves. Gladiators became big business for trainers and owners, for politicians on the make and those who had reached the top and wished to stay there. Gladiator games were advertised well beforehand, on billboards that gave the reason for the game, its editor, venue, date and the number of paired gladiators (ordinarii) to be used. Other highlighted features could include details of venationes, executions, music and any luxuries to be provided for the spectators, such as an awning against the sun, water sprinklers, food, drink, sweets and occasionally "door prizes". For enthusiasts and gamblers, a more detailed program (libellus) was distributed on the day of the munus, showing the names, types and match records of gladiator pairs, and their order of appearance.The entertainments often began with venationes (beast hunts) and bestiarii (beast fighters). Next came the ludi meridiani, which were of variable content but usually involved executions of noxii, some of whom were condemned to be subjects of fatal re-enactments, based on Greek or Roman myths.

Cestus
The cestus was a fist-fighter or boxer who wore the cestus, a heavy-duty type of knuckleduster, but otherwise had no armour

Dimachaerus
The dimachaerus (Greek διμάχαιρος, "bearing two knives") used a sword in each hand.

Equites
Eques, plural equites, was the regular Latin word for a horseman or cavalryman. Early forms of the eques gladiator were lightly armed, with sword or spear. They had scale armour; a medium-sized round cavalry shield (parma equestris); and a brimmed helmet with two decorative feathers and no crest. Later forms also had greaves to protect their legs, a manica on their right arm and sleeveless, belted tunics. Generally, they fought only other equites

Gladiatrix
A modern term, referring to a female gladiator of any type.

Laquearius
The laquearius was a kind of retiarius who tried to catch his adversaries with a lasso (laqueus) instead of a net. He was equipped also with a dagger for use once he snared his opponent.

Retiarius
The retiarius ("net fighter") developed in the early Augustan period. He carried a trident and a net.

Sagittarius
The sagittarius was a mounted archer, armed with a reflex bow capable of propelling an arrow a great distance.

Velites
The velites ("skirmishers") fought on foot, each holding a spear with an attached thong for throwing.

[An'ei Sekitan]

Earlier that day, perhaps mid-morning, Houkou and Sekizen had entered the city of Porthos proper. Only a minor disturbance was cause when the huge Worg padded through the streets, drawing crowds to gawk at the pair during the bright morning light, a light that was only sparingly broken up by the lazy fat clouds that rolled by. Too many people. They were on their way toward the Colosseum in order for the Demon Dog to get more accustomed to this body, the fastest way being a contest of strength against others of the martial skills. His non-dominant hand, his right, rested upon the katana at his hip, while his dominant hand quickly performed a check of his 15 kunai. Everything was in order for today…

Houkou waited in the darkness beneath the stands to the North, his opponent would be waiting for him in the south, a full hundred meters away no less. Sekizen had to wait outside, a spectator this time, as this was not a fight he would put the untrained Worg into. Not yet. Left hand reached for a cigarette, but there weren’t any, the last one having been smoked earlier in the day somewhere in the city. Damnit…

”Wait here. You’ll just be watching today.” Houkou turned from Sekizen, who was clearly irritated at having to wait, but obeyed none the less. After a puff or two of his last cigarette, the Demon Dog entered the Colosseum to register, going up to the appropriate both and entering his information. There would be one opponent today, a child from Kaminari no Kuni, but that age meant nothing. He had seen very powerful children in his day, his own daughter being one, even though she did not know it yet. Once completed, they ushered him to his place in order to start the bout, which had drawn a few people already. It seemed he was fighting the founder.

The gate began to lift by a pulley system, archaic, but producing a grandiose effect on those in the stands. Similarly, the gate on the other end would undoubtedly be lifting, as this was common practice. Squares of light danced upon his flesh, solid beams mere moments ago, until the gate was fully lifted and he was allowed to step through that portal of light. The crowd went wild as he stepped onto the hard-packed earth of the Colosseum! A surreal experience from the typical screams of the dying, but he took it all in, unaccustomed to joy from those who saw him; excitement. Down the corridor of earth and humans would be his opponent, one hundred meters away, entering as he had. Soon their blades would clash and sing within this small realm. He could hear the voice of his blade. Destroy! EVIL! It seemed the sword Unnamed was excited as well. Perhaps he was merely crazy.

Ryutatsu smiled as he approached the gate of his arena. This small Gladiatorial Ring was associated with his branch of the Senri School. It was his brain child to have a place to exhibition one's skills in weapons and fighting after his experience in the Kumogakure Dome. Now he was going to be one of the first contestants to use it. Unfortunately for the Audience only basic protections are imbued into the walls and some basic wards done by the instructors of the school protect them. But that was part of excitement for the spectators.

Ryutatsu himself standing at 5'6" was standing strong as he made one final check of his equipment. This was to be a true match of skill of someone who was known as skilled at least in certain lands. Here would be the match up that would bring fame and renown to the winner and to the Ring. Ryutatsu had armed himself heavily in expectation of a challenge. Only two have pushed him to the brink maybe this would be the third.

Ryutatsu had both Nightin Gale and Abyssal Shard on his back like usual. Ryutatsu also was fully armored in mithril armor of the best make. He was taking few chances. It was also the reason he had his crossbow with the special magazines on his leg and pouches full of explosives and gear on his vest and in a cloak that was made for battle. Ryutatsu's clothes even were of special make to be fire resistant.

Houkou read the docket for who he was to face. Ryutatsu was getting excited for a match to bring this place more into the light. The lazy clouds strolled through the sky and the crowds were loud as his opponent entered through the north gate. Ryutatsu walked in through the south. The announcer proclaimed their names and what information was put in their sign ups. Ryutatsu smiled at the roses and flowers that while beginning to die off still grew along trellis high on the walls near the stands.

The hundred meters between them had few obstacles this time just a couple of tall rocks and a little pound to the east that was maybe ten meters all told. It would provide a little of something for most fighters. The earth beneath their feet was packed hard dirt with some loose sand for aesthetics. Nothing amazing about the arena, but now maybe the funding would be more.

The air smelled hot with the press of the bodies in the sand and the rising sun. Though there was some moisture in the air from the sea breeze of the port. Being a port town one never knew what the weather held. But the time for easy observations was over. Let the Games Begin.

Description: Neutral - Drawback - Gives Back 5 Augmentation Points. The user suffers a reaction to an ordinary substance, such as a material. So long as they are in contact with the substance (breathing, touching, eating, etc.) they will suffer adverse effects. If a successful attack is made against the user with the allergy they will lose a Movement for the round. The user also loses any Damage Reduction that would normally shield against an attack. Before picking grabbing the Allergy Augmentation the user may choose from the list: Clay, Plastic, Iron, Specific Plant, Silver or Gold, Leather, Specific Material, Specific Animal, Bone and Ivory, and Specific Drug. Sutatikku Nagare (Static Current) (20 Meters) (25 Rounds)

Skill: Kekkai Genkai Ninjutsu
Effect: Allows the user to manipulate electrostatics and electric charges.
Special: Rat, Dragon, Ram, Tiger, Monkey, Dog, Horse, Rabbit once per 5 turns.
Drawback: Objects must be visible. While actively using this ability, the user must remain perfectly still, and no other jutsu may be used while the user is attempting to manipulate charges. Only metallic objects or semi-metallic objects can be manipulated.
Description: Allows the user to manipulate and control electrostatic, which is by definition electricity at rest. This gives the user the ability to move around both positive and negative charges on objects, which, in the end, can result in the ability to either repel or attract objects to and from each other. It must be noted that this jutsu strictly follows the concept of the Conservation of Charges. That means that without influence, all charges within nature are balanced at zero. Only when acted upon do these charges change. This ability is a requirement for all members of the Kyoudo Clan. When the user first gains this ability, they have only the ability to affect one object at a time within five meters of their person. At maximum, the user may move 10% of an object’s positive or negative charges to another object. While actively using this ability, the user must remain perfectly still, and no other jutsu may be used while the user is attempting to manipulate charges. Due to the relative electrical field produced by every person Kyoudo cannot affect people, and due to the low electronegativity of non-metallic objects, only metallic objects can be affected. It is only through mastery over the element of thunder that one can obtain this ability.

Sutatikku Nou (Static Awareness)

Effect: Allows a member of the Kyoudo blood limit to manipulate and control electrostatic charges even out of their range of sight, in their personal static field.
Special: -
Drawback: One can only use this ability if it is in the range of their own electrostatic field. Only useful if one has trained Kyori Keiko a number of times. All manipulation of sensed objects is still, of course, limited by the other Kyoudo techniques.
Description: Normally one can only use their Sutatikku Nagare ability on objects they can see. However with much training and experience eventually a member of the Kyoudo become so attuned with their static field that they can 'feel' objects around them. All objects in nature carry an electrical charge even if it's at zero. An experienced Kyoudo can sense such things and manipulate them as long as it is within their own static field. This grants the user the ability of complete static awareness in their field. This is directly correlated to the amount of times one has learned Kyori Keiko (Distance Training).
Limit: Sutatikku Nagare (Static Current) ability, 500 tp in the Kyoudo clan. Once you have 500 TP of Kyoudo jutsus, this is automatically "learned".

Uncanny Dodge

Description: The user can react to danger before their senses would normally allow them to do so. They cannot be caught flat-footed, nor do they lose any Defensive benefits if the attacker is invisible. The user still loses their Defensive benefits if they are immobilized. A user with this ability can still lose their Defensive Abilities if an opponent successfully uses a feint attack. If the user already knows Uncanny Dodge from a different source, they may automatically learn Improved Uncanny Dodge.

Heaven Shapeless: Dodge

Effect: A technique used to dodge and evade attacks.

Drawback: ---
Description: The user learns how to proficiently dodge and evade flying objects as well as oncoming weapons through predicting the attacks. A very useful technique since the Heaven Shapeless: Stance (Single) has no defensive capabilities. The user will stand in one position and learn the minimum amount of movements required to avoid an attack. The bending of the body at a rapid pace is essential to this technique as well as ducking, side-stepping, jumping, and bobbing/weaving. Each rank the user learns the user is capable of effectively knowing how to evade a technique equal in rank.
Limit: Must learn from a Master of Tensora (天空 Heavenly Sky), Must know Heaven Shapeless: Stance (Single).

Tsuyosa Ryuu: Kikoesankei (Renowned Mountain Range)

Skill: TaiJutsu
Effect: A technique that enables the user to withstand knock back and knockdown techniques.
Special: ---
Drawback: User still feels effects of the technique and still feels the same pain within the technique. Must have both feet planted on the ground and not become unbalanced.
Description: The user basically becomes that of a mountain, a sense of being who is unable to be pushed because of perfect balance. This technique enables the user the capability of withstanding techniques without falling down or being pushed back. The user stands in a perfect formation having both feet planted down on the ground. The user has their knees bent as they concentrate their energy around their body. The user does this and tightens all muscles within their body the moment an attack occurs. The user is capable of being pushed back but will not fall and would simply slide back against the ground. This technique works against all knockdown, and push back techniques. Each rank the user learns they are able to withstand that rank technique that deals with knockdown and/or knockback.
Limit: Must Learn from a Master of Burēdono Kenseijin

Nameru (To Taste)
Rank: E, D, C, B, A, S
Skill: Taijutsu
Effect: The user, through the sharpening of their five senses and an instinctual knowledge of flow, becomes aware of their surroundings and capable of defending against attacks.
Special: --
Drawback: Can only be learned up to your current Character Rank.
Description: The user strives to expand their senses, taking in data from all five senses and treating each of them as equally important. Through a combination of peripheral vision, hearing, and measurement of air pressure changes, the user becomes capable of perceiving threats around them and reacting accordingly. At E rank, the user can only perceive such threats as traps or projectiles. However, at the following levels, the user becomes capable of perceiving strikes from a foe of an equal level to the rank they have learned. Therefore, a B rank ninja could strike a C rank user of this technique and the user would not be able to perceive them via this technique and lose the majority of the benefits, though their dodging would benefit from the heightened awareness nonetheless. The user may only learn this technique up to their character’s rank. Thus, a C rank character could only learn up to the C rank version of Nameru. Nameru is limited to threats within twenty meters of the foe, as anything that doesn’t enter that radius is beyond the senses of a human to perceive. However, threats are perceivable once they enter that range.
Limit: Must learn from a Gintsuki no Seikou Mai Master. Must know Hyouuryuu Yuki (Drifting Snow).

[An'ei Sekitan]

A bit for everyone in this Arena, both a boon and a hindrance, as they could cast just as much as he could. Well, perhaps not quite as much. The first order of business was to close the distance however, or to perhaps change the terrain more favorably. His crimson eyes studied the boy, not the eyes of the Sharingan, but his natural crimson eyes. He was indeed young, younger than his daughter, and a little smaller too maybe? Two blades on his back, shinobi garb, and short white hair like his own, but something else stood out even from this distance. It seemed the boy was wearing armor, but Houkou was not familiar enough with armor to know the type, only that it would be annoying for his blade. Then one other thing he could see. Red lines…two of them. Not like his own twin triangles on the cheeks to mark him as Inuzuka, but lines he knew none the less. Kyoudo. Terrain change would be very beneficial now. I really wish I had a cigarette…

Houkou himself was in his black tank top, black cargo pants and black boots, bronzed skin from the sun of Kusagakure no Sato, and the tattoo of a horned demonic dog surrounded by flame on his dominant arm; the left. He tapped Unnamed, his katana, twice before allowing his hand to slip from it, now eighty meters from his quarry. Deliberately, he was taking his time to get there, a casual walk to appear cocky or lackadaisical. However, as he walked, his hands blurred through the handseals necessary to give birth to something from the very earth, water being drained from that very pond off to his left; the eastern side of the arena. Those rocks would be lost in what was born. He would take away as many advantages of the open space from the boy as possible, even if it removed a few of his own. At seventy meters distance he would stop and the fun would begin, his body pulsed with the life chakra of Mokuton, though without the correct eyes it would not be seen.

A violent explosion would shake the arena, the very earth shaking, the ground exploding in showers of dirt and rock. Wood…a forest, the birth of a forest. The entire length and width of the area was now a dense woodland, difficult to maneuver for anyone within, or anyone who was not Inuzuka at least. The sky had not gone nearly dark, the thick canopy of the forest above blotting out the sunlight, leaving only scattered beams of light to peek through to the forest floor below. The pond and the rocks still existed, although they too were hidden in this dense forest, as the trees and their roots grew haphazardly, these branches growing in a way to hinder instead of aid. These woods were a jungle, vines and exotic plant life all around, the air was moist and stifling. This however was not enough, only the first phase, as one other was to come. Again his hands began to dance.

Radiating from his body would be a single pulse of power to the mind, passing through the very foliage he created, dominating those things that could not obey without. His will was imposed on the plants and he would order them as a king would a subject. Watch for the boy and relay that information to me, hinder his steps at all times. The entire forest was under his control, having moved to the perfect placement earlier. Now it would be time for the ambush, a game of cat and mouse, or Demon Dog and Little Wolf in this case. Who was the true hunter in this land? The crimson began to bleed from his eyes to a void of black, a ring of crimson remaining, three Tomoe upon the ring within their new environment.

Description: A Mind-Affecting Technique. Affects all vegetation within 15 meter radius per Class Level. The user is able to perform this technique at a distance of 7 meters plus 6 meters per class level. The duration of this technique lasts for 5 days per class level. This technique may be negated. Sometimes hindering a trespasser is not enough, be it a tomb that needs watching or a Mage requires a more subtle form of guardianship than the usual tricks, traps and monsters. Dominate Vegetation is capable of warding an area with a bewildering array of difficulties. Be it the vines that seem to trip, to the poison that seems to be almost targeted as it drips from the sap of an over head tree, paralysing the unwary. This Jutsu also allows the user to be aware of intruders, and to provide a small amount of direction as to what the plants should be attempting. The exact effects of the defenses are dependent on what vegetation is in the area.

Description: The user is capable of creating a large forest that is extremely dense and extremely difficult to maneuver through. The forest is as large as that of a Football field if the user wishes, but this takes time and incredible amount of chakra to do. The user does the seals and creates the massive forest for their usage and desire.
Limit: Must have the Wood Release, must be capable of creating water, or must have a water source as large of that of a Lake. The soil must be rich, and the user must be capable of using the Mokuton Soutei Hashira technique of up to two hundred yards.

[Ryutatsu "Sakurai Sword"]

Ryutatsu approached Houkou as he approached Ryutatsu. His alert eyes watched the fast hand seals that were done with a furrowed brow. Ryutatsu didn't know the particular technique that was about to be unleashed on him but was happy when the arena was suddenly the perfect terrain for him. Then jungle was exactly the kind of material he could use for some of his heritage.

Ryutatsu quickly climbed into the trees and walked around the branches like they were home. He practically lived in the trees during some of his training. Now they were fighting in terrain that would make everything fun. The tree appeared when they were about forty meters apart as Houkou had walked, Ryutatsu had met the same pace. But it was more to give himself time to observe.

His Emerald Eyes already had spots of white in them. It was a battle of blood lines though Houkou had the better information. Ryutatsu only faced a Uchiha once and didn't quite know he faced one now. It was a matter who senses were better the Inuzuka that summoned the forest or the Child of Lightning. A slow start to what could be a fast battle.

Into the trees they went to begin the hunt. But Ryutatsu hunted as a thinker and a planner. He kept his senses tuned to his surroundings as he made the trees of this jungle home. He was about twelve meters up and enjoying the freedom of movement such tightly woven branches gave. To most this would be a hindrance but to him it might as well be a road. He was a Ikebana as much as he was Kyoudo but few knew that until they fought him.

Drawback: One can only use this ability if it is in the range of their own electrostatic field. Only useful if one has trained Kyori Keiko a number of times. All manipulation of sensed objects is still, of course, limited by the other Kyoudo techniques.
Description: Normally one can only use their Sutatikku Nagare ability on objects they can see. However with much training and experience eventually a member of the Kyoudo become so attuned with their static field that they can 'feel' objects around them. All objects in nature carry an electrical charge even if it's at zero. An experienced Kyoudo can sense such things and manipulate them as long as it is within their own static field. This grants the user the ability of complete static awareness in their field. This is directly correlated to the amount of times one has learned Kyori Keiko (Distance Training).
Limit: Sutatikku Nagare (Static Current) ability, 500 tp in the Kyoudo clan. Once you have 500 TP of Kyoudo jutsus, this is automatically "learned".

The bending of the body at a rapid pace is essential to this technique as well as ducking, side-stepping, jumping, and bobbing/weaving. Each rank the user learns the user is capable of effectively knowing how to evade a technique equal in rank.

Effect: The user, through the sharpening of their five senses and an instinctual knowledge of flow, becomes aware of their surroundings and capable of defending against attacks.

Description: The user strives to expand their senses, taking in data from all five senses and treating each of them as equally important. Through a combination of peripheral vision, hearing, and measurement of air pressure changes, the user becomes capable of perceiving threats around them and reacting accordingly. At E rank, the user can only perceive such threats as traps or projectiles. However, at the following levels, the user becomes capable of perceiving strikes from a foe of an equal level to the rank they have learned. Therefore, a B rank ninja could strike a C rank user of this technique and the user would not be able to perceive them via this technique and lose the majority of the benefits, though their dodging would benefit from the heightened awareness nonetheless. The user may only learn this technique up to their character’s rank. Thus, a C rank character could only learn up to the C rank version of Nameru. Nameru is limited to threats within twenty meters of the foe, as anything that doesn’t enter that radius is beyond the senses of a human to perceive. However, threats are perceivable once they enter that range.
Limit: Must learn from a Gintsuki no Seikou Mai Master. Must know Hyouuryuu Yuki (Drifting Snow).

[An'ei Sekitan]

The trees showed him exactly where the boy had gone, into the trees, like the proverbial chimp. This was a good thing, as he could not escape like that, not from this. His Ninjutsu warm-up was going well, one more and then it would be time to fight with his actual style, Genjutsu and Taijutsu. Without the need to note where the boy was this time, though he was only forty meters away, Houkou’s hands danced through another set of handseals. Heat would rise within him, his chakra alighting with Katon, burning in his pathways. As he finished the seals, he could feel it raging to be let free, and he would oblige it, placing a hand upon the bark of his creation. That very tree would begin to smolder as the insides boiled, fast approaching a point of no return, and a chain reaction of such devastating measure that perhaps those spectating would not have their lives much longer.

Another series of handseals, his chakra down to a quarter now, reaching dangerous levels, but not so much that he would be exhausted, only hindered in his castings for a time while it built back up. During this time, he would turn and flee the tree he had touched, completing his seals fifteen meters from his previous location, now fifty-five meters from Ryu. This would take nothing for him to activate, as the earth melted beneath him, dragging him below into the cool depths. Once within, he would swim deeper still, a precaution, still knowing every move the kid could make. He could feel the rumble of the earth, the tremble from his handiwork, and he could see it as well.

Above that single tree had boiled to the breaking point and shattered, exploding with a fury of flame and chunks of wood; and chakra. Each tree within ten meters of it would explode next, followed by the next amount of trees within ten meters, and so on. One hundred meters of destruction in a split second, although Houkou did not doubt his opponent could survive, as he could never underestimate those he battled. In a flash of carnage, the entire woodland had exploded, the arena in which they fought nothing but fire and dead fauna. Houkou would swim to the last location the trees had seen the boy, whether he fled or found another way, he would be waiting at that very point and every alert. Soon the warm-up would be over.

Katon: Futtou Ki no Jutsu (Fire Element: Boiling Tree Technique)

Effect: A powerful technique used to take out a forest if need be to destroy those who are hiding from within, causing a great massive destructive force.

Description: A devastating technique devised to eliminate opponents hiding inside a forest or other such area without having to trouble themselves by looking for them. The user begins by applying chakra to a single tree. The tree heats up so much that the sap inside is set alight, causing the three to explode from the inside out, sending hot splinters shooting in every direction. This technique is most dangerous in a heavily forested area, for it will have a chain reaction to any nearby trees. When the user first learns this technique as a "C" Class ninja the user is capable of destroying an amount of trees within the distance of sixty meters radius of when the tree first blows up with trees in the distance of up to ten meters apart. The distance increases by ten meters for every class level the user may be. This technique takes an amount of half a round before the first initial tree explodes in which causes the chain reaction if need be.

Doton - Shinjuu Zanshu no Jutsu (Double Suicide Decapitation Technique)

Effect: A technique where the user hides within the ground for a brief moment to surprise attack the opponent from under ground.

Drawback: ---
Description: The user takes the time to push into the ground by using their Earth Release. The user pushes into the ground quickly so that to be used against the opponent later on. The user at this point cannot necessarily move within the ground at this moment, but the user does know by feel of when an opponent is right above. When an opponent is right under the user reaches up to take the opponent and drag them back down to the ground in one fell swoop without movement or notice. The opponent is unable to move for one post and the user is capable of slamming out of the ground with one movement.
Limit: Needs the Earth Release

Doton - Dochuu Eigyo (Underground Fish Projection)

Effect: By using the similarity of Doton - Shinjuu Zanshu no Jutsu (Double Suicide Decapitation Technique) the user is capable of moving through the earth and all around.

Drawback: Technique cannot be used through Sand
Description: The user uses the basic Doton - Shinjuu Zanshu no Jutsu (Double Suicide Decapitation Technique) as they slam down into the ground. Doing so the user is capable of moving about within the ground capable of rising, singing and capable of pushing through the very ground in multiple types of ways. This type of attack may be used so then the user may move away from the very opponent and attack at the moment's notice.
Limit: Needs the Earth Release, Must have knowledge of the Doton - Shinjuu Zanshu no Jutsu (Double Suicide Decapitation Technique)

[Ryutatsu "Sakurai Sword"]

Ryutatsu heard the explosions of the tree's first. He grunted at the unexpected strategy but shrugged to himself mentally. He thought that was one way to do it, but Houkou was wasting a lot of chakra. Well he would find little return for so much chakra wastage. Either way he had time enough to notice a pattern with the cascade of explosions as they spread through the forest. Each tree is about a ten meter explosion apiece.

He had to get on the other side of the wave of destruction. So he figured now would be a good time to teleport. He rushed to the wall of exploding trees moving closer to Houkou's last know position by about fifteen meters as the trees near him started exploding. Ryutatsu used a tree itself as a shield until it was about it's turn and the ones immediately around him.

Then Ryutatsu teleported fifteen more meters towards Houkou's last known position just on the other side of the wave of the explosions. He was basically safe by that fast thinking an fast movement. Ryutatsu then moved the final ten meters through the devastation that was a jungle. Ryutatsu could sense a metal sword within fifteen meters but was underground.

Ryutatsu smiled at that bit of information. So now he knew exactly where his enemy was. With a quick movement he toss and burst a pouch of shavings over the ground covering about a five meter or more area around where Houkou should be. Then without seals or any overt effort Ryutatsu wanting to get to closer combat sent a jolt of Lightning through the ground right towards Houkou.

It was a powerful Jolt known as Chidori Nagashi, one of his favored attacks. Ryutatsu wondered if that would do it to get them in a closer match. Though explosions was a good strategy, he felt them a bit easy.

Chidori Nagashi, 千鳥流し (One Thousand Birds Current)

Effect: A variation on a regular Chidori, this jutsu allows the user to generate electrically charged chakra from his body, instead of just concentrating it in their hand. The electricity can be channeled anywhere, allowing the user to enhance their attacks or defend themself. As an offensive technique, because the electricity isn't focused, it doesn't kill on contact, only paralyzes. The Current can also be sent through the ground to attack opponents from their blind spot. The user can also channel the electricity through a sword increasing its overall strength and cutting power, as well as making the area cut numb.

Description: This technique does not have the same drawbacks as that of Chidori, 千鳥, "One Thousand Birds" do to the fact that the user concentrates the technique within their whole entire body to where it is not simply concentrated in one area. Whenever the user stabs, or takes hold of an opponent the user pulses the electrical currents into the opponent's body making them immobile, as well as paralyzed. The user is only capable of shooting this technique within the ground within the distance of twenty meters to hit against opponents all around to try and paralyze them as well by hitting blind spots. This technique is also capable of being produced to stop techniques within the Earth Realm of "B" Rank and lower which may occur within the distance of ten meters around the user. Any earth technique created outside this range is still capable of harming the user. For cutting power this technique is capable of making all cuts numb paralysing the section it cuts as well as increasing a blade technique by contact of sword by one rank.

Outcome seems to me that here is the chain of events. 

1Ryu runs into forest
2Coal explodes forest in a chain of explosions rather then one huge explosion. 
3Speed of forest explosion was not set* 
4Ryu sees the first tree explode and teleport to the tree as it explodes to avoid next chain of  explosions. (seems meta imho.)

Outcome would be Ryu would at the very least be wounded by blinking into the area where the first tree exploded. Not from the primary explosion but at least from exploding splinters or what not. Nothing fatal. Still minor damage through armor and full body chidori current. I'd say around the 40 ap mark.

[Ryutatsu "Sakurai Sword"]

Ryutatsu wasn't completely unscathed by the explosions however. His clothes got a little ragged and he earned himself a small scratch. His natural toughness and his armor protected him from the worst of the blast. He stood there like it was a normal experience for him. Ryutatsu was an agile fighter who learned the hard way about how explosions work against him.

OOC: All seems good to me. Additionally, I apologize for exploiting a loophole you have provided me. The movement and time lapse confusion made this possible. Lol. Since you moved to my last known location and found a sword, but I moved to your last known location in my post (essentially passing each other), you've created a unique occurrence. I am not there, but your sensing DOES sense metal, and you position and the sensing would mean that the sword would HAVE to be there. That means I don't have it on me anymore because I'm where you were last...lol.

Houkou reached down to his waist to ready his blade, knowing full well his opponent could not be bested by something so simple, despite the wide range of his attack. It had exploded slower than he expected, but that was fine, it was merely a test. However, now his hand grasped empty air, then his hip, but not the hilt of his blade, but the sheath remained. Knocked out during the blast? The explosion had certainly shaken everything, but to that extent? Impressive…and annoying. Perhaps a kunai instead would…really? Seemed that his pouch was back there as well full of his kunai. Now armed with only his sheath, he and the boy had essentially traded places, yet Houkou was still confident. Ripping off the black tank top, he would shape it in such a way to create a sheath of cloth, sheathing his sheath, and then forming wood from his very flesh into a crude handle for that sheath. Blade-like it would have to do.

He rose from the earth bare of chest, his sheath at his waist, he actual weapons beneath the ground as what sounded like thousands of chirping birds resounded through the air. Chidori. He knew his opponent would see him, much as he could see his opponent now, so he made no effort to hide, merely punching through a couple quick handseals that produced no visible effect. Carnage of his jungle was everywhere, with enormous shards of wood littering or jutting from the very earth, and small fires raging, but not consuming. Satisfying destruction of all the plant life around. The rocks were rubble and the pond had been scattered as well, while the very ground was rent and now uneven all over. Houkou held the crude handle and tested it would pull the sheath free if tugged, it reacted correctly, so he allowed it to settle. That wouldn’t work for long.

Instead he began to jog toward his opponent in the open, no weapon at the ready and no handseals forthcoming, just his bare hands and sheathed sheath. Until he was thirty meters away. Lightning fast the sheath was free and held high, then slammed to the ground with amazing swiftness and technique, the force of it exploding outward. Shards of wood would be launched at his opponent and continued from the origin point up to forty meters, and there was a lot of debris in the field, to include rocks and chunks of earth with the enormous shards of wood; it would be like a horizontal monsoon of debris toward Ryutatsu. Sheathing the sheath immediately after use, Houkou would rush forward behind his debris, knowing it for the shield wall that it would be, and preparing to meet his opponent in hand to hand combat should anything be left of him. The change of terrain would not affect Houkou in the least, but perhaps the difficulty of it now would hinder his opponent enough to make evasion a bit more tricky. He would be watching his opponent closely.

Drawback: Only works with Releases. User must know the release and perform the same amount of handseals or more as the opponent.
Description: User looks at an opponent. When the opponent begins their technique the user watches and figures out if the opponent is using a Release attack while using Sight of Chakra Nature. When the user figures which release the opponent is performing and if the user knows that release they are able to copy the handseals and perform the same technique towards the opponent without knowing the technique. This technique does not allow a user to learn the technique.
Limit: Must have Sharingan (写輪眼 "Copy Wheel Eye,") 3rd Tomoe. Must know the same requirements as the Technique being copied for the brief moment. Must know Sharingan Hypnosis State

[Ryutatsu "Sakurai Sword"]

Ryutatsu dodged it by simply not being in line of the rocks and debris exploding up from the Earth strike. It was interesting that he had gotten fooled into attacking a sword without a sheath and then get attacked by the same sheath. The fight was actually going in slow motion to Ryutatsu but it was interesting and it was a show for his audience. Ryutatsu picked his way through the terrain at a slightly slower pace than his normal pace. So he was being hampered but just a little. It didn't take much to close fifteen meters closer to Houkou now he wasn't hiding. 

Ryutatsu shook his head then in a flash, much like what Houkou did, he sent a strike out over the distance. But instead of through the ground and a big movement to slam the ground, it was a precise movement from the sheath. And Ryutatsu didn't stop there, thirty slivers of Dragon Strike rapidly flew from Ryutatsu towards Houkou. Not all were precisely aimed at the main body, for Ryutatsu expected some dodging sent waves to left, right, above, and to the feet of Houkou. 

Ryutatsu was a master of the sword and a sword fighter so all this ninjutsu had started to bug him. But now he could sense Houkou with all his senses including his metal sense. Ryutatsu's arm moved so fast that is was like it was a blink. And all the while he continued to move forward to try to close the distance with Houkou. But he wasn't going to get fooled a second time for Houkou was firmly within his area of control now.

Description: Picture The basis of Gosei Ryuu techniques. The user stands with their sword in the sheathe. Grabbing the handle of the sword near the Tsuba, the user thereafter steps forward with the front leg while unsheathing the blade in a horizontal attacking motion across the body. So swift is this technique that it is akin to a "flash", taking no movements to perform. When striking, the user is able to use air to slice enemies, focusing a current of wind, to the point where it takes on a sharp edge, which the user launches at foes. Upon sheathing the sword, the user must sacrifice a movement to do so. Depending on the user’s Class Level depends on the distance of the strike.

Sutatikku Nou (Static Awareness)

Effect: Allows a member of the Kyoudo blood limit to manipulate and control electrostatic charges even out of their range of sight, in their personal static field.

Drawback: One can only use this ability if it is in the range of their own electrostatic field. Only useful if one has trained Kyori Keiko a number of times. All manipulation of sensed objects is still, of course, limited by the other Kyoudo techniques.

Description: Normally one can only use their Sutatikku Nagare ability on objects they can see. However with much training and experience eventually a member of the Kyoudo become so attuned with their static field that they can 'feel' objects around them. All objects in nature carry an electrical charge even if it's at zero. An experienced Kyoudo can sense such things and manipulate them as long as it is within their own static field. This grants the user the ability of complete static awareness in their field. This is directly correlated to the amount of times one has learned Kyori Keiko (Distance Training).

Limit: Sutatikku Nagare (Static Current) ability, 500 tp in the Kyoudo clan. Once you have 500 TP of Kyoudo jutsus, this is automatically "learned".

Description: The user can react to danger before their senses would normally allow them to do so. A user with this ability can still lose their Defensive Abilities if an opponent successfully uses a feint attack. If the user already knows Uncanny Dodge from a different source, they may automatically learn Improved Uncanny Dodge.

Heaven Shapeless: Dodge

Effect: A technique used to dodge and evade attacks.

Description: The user learns how to proficiently dodge and evade flying objects as well as oncoming weapons through predicting the attacks. A very useful technique since the Heaven Shapeless: Stance (Single) has no defensive capabilities. The user will stand in one position and learn the minimum amount of movements required to avoid an attack. The bending of the body at a rapid pace is essential to this technique as well as ducking, side-stepping, jumping, and bobbing/weaving. Each rank the user learns the user is capable of effectively knowing how to evade a technique equal in rank.

Limit: Must learn from a Master of Tensora (天空 Heavenly Sky), Must know Heaven Shapeless: Stance (Single).



Nameru (To Taste)

Skill: Taijutsu

Effect: The user, through the sharpening of their five senses and an instinctual knowledge of flow, becomes aware of their surroundings and capable of defending against attacks.

Special: --

Drawback: Can only be learned up to your current Character Rank.

Description: The user strives to expand their senses, taking in data from all five senses and treating each of them as equally important. Through a combination of peripheral vision, hearing, and measurement of air pressure changes, the user becomes capable of perceiving threats around them and reacting accordingly. At E rank, the user can only perceive such threats as traps or projectiles. However, at the following levels, the user becomes capable of perceiving strikes from a foe of an equal level to the rank they have learned. Therefore, a B rank ninja could strike a C rank user of this technique and the user would not be able to perceive them via this technique and lose the majority of the benefits, though their dodging would benefit from the heightened awareness nonetheless. The user may only learn this technique up to their character’s rank. Thus, a C rank character could only learn up to the C rank version of Nameru. Nameru is limited to threats within twenty meters of the foe, as anything that doesn’t enter that radius is beyond the senses of a human to perceive. However, threats are perceivable once they enter that range.

Limit: Must learn from a Gintsuki no Seikou Mai Master. Must know Hyouuryuu Yuki (Drifting Snow).

[An'ei Sekitan]

His opponent was fast, not faster than his Sharingan, but faster than a normal person could follow. He watched as Ryutatus flowed through the debris like water through a hand with splayed fingers, untouched by anything launched his way, but Houkou had anticipated no less. Coming to a halt, he readied for his opponent like the wolf, only a short distance away now, ten meters. Then the strikes came for him, one technique he knew in practice, and one he had seen but never learned. None of that mattered, because everything was moving slowly for him as well, the Sharingan predicting each swing and explosion of force that would come of it. Houkou began moving again.

A leap would carry him over one attack, curling into a ball to avoid two more, his eyes on the scene before him. Land flat on the belly, push and twist, flip slowly, land and sidestep. Duck, jump, move, lean, it was all becoming a blur of slow moving parts. Ryutatsu was moving as well, headed toward him, picking his way over the terrain again while he evaded, and it seemed Houkou made the mistake of taking his eyes off. A blade cut clean through is form then, striking him perfectly from left shoulder to right hip, and the rest was history…or was it?\

Pop! A large shard of wood was cut to ribbons by the attacks, becoming nothing but splinters before that amazing onslaught, but there was no blood. A puff of smoke rose into the air where Houkou had been and where the ribbons of the log now was, but the Demon Dog was nowhere to be seen, although that wouldn’t fool Ryutatsu’s senses. Just what Houkou wanted. He was three steps behind Ryutatsu, his hand on his sheath sword, and already in motion. Sharingan eyes were watching the boy for his movements, so that Houkou could adjust accordingly, but he would be far too fast for that. The Demon Dog became a blur of white and red, two steps faster than the blink of an eye, beyond god-like speed to end with the second step being his left. In that split of a split second, the sheath sword was free of the cloth sheath it was in and had slashed, the length enough to strike Ryutatsu, the angle to push his sheath sword from upper quad to mid rib; a difficult location to dodge.

Whether Ryutatsu was fast enough to dodge or block, a vacuum would be created from the force of it, pulling the boy off balance and sucking him in. The momentum of the first would add more force to the second strike, sweeping back across to create an X from the other side, the speed of it causing Houkou to seem as if he had teleported there, too fast for a reaction. The very earth away from Houkou in both direction was rent simultaneously for a few meters, the speed of the attack beyond the speed of a god, that it took a moment for the effects to catch up with him. He would jump back on guard as well, the Sharingan watching for his opponent should he not be downed with that.

Kawarimi no Jutsu (Body Switch Skill)

Effect: The Replacement technique. A technique where one quickly replaces their body with an animal or an object by making it seem like they were attacked, this usually distracts and confuses an enemy and create a chance to attack.
Special: ---
Drawback: A user may only switch with an object of similar size from the nearby area. A user must perform the jutsu ahead of time, and not within the same round they are attacking in. The Background must be explained correctly in order to perform. The user may not switch with an object on them, only something around them. The technique only works within a distance of five meters from the user. Objects changed may only be of at the most two feet in different fo size. A user may not perform this technique, and perform other techniques after because it gives out the position of the user. This technique does not work on area effect techniques that exceed the user's capabilities of performing Kawarimi no Jutsu (Body Switch Skill)
Description: The Kawarimi no Jutsu, allows a ninja to dodge attacks, whether they are weapons such as kunai, ninjutsu, taijutsu, or any other attack type. Coupled with other jutsu, it can be very effective in confusing your opponent, and catching them off-guard. The only downside, is it often takes a strategic mind to effectively utilize it, not that it can't be useful in the hands of an inexperienced ninja.
Limit: An academy Jutsu that all is capable of performing if they wish to do so.

Description: The secret behind the technique lays in an additional step with the left (off) foot. This single step alone adds instantaneous acceleration and weight to the sword changing the god-like speed of Burēdono Kenseijin - Blade of the Sword Saint to "Beyond god-like speed". However, this extra step is difficult to take as one of the fundamental teaching of battōjutsu states that one should step forward with the right foot as to avoid cutting their own foot with the attack. As such, the additional step forward with the left foot can spell certain death for the swordsman, as it takes precise timing to coordinate, as to not lose any momentum while drawing; it requires the utmost concentration that can only be obtained by one's desire to live. There is another secret to this technique. If the initial strike is avoided or blocked, the force of the unusually fast slashing motion displaces the air around it, generating a vacuum in its wake and sucking the opponent in. As this happens, the body is spun around for a second strike, the previous action adding force and momentum to the swing, making the subsequent strike far stronger. This is the true power of the Amakakeru Ryū no Hirameki. This technique is so fast that its implementation can be successful even when the enemy's strike has actually reached the user's body. This technique may be learned multiple times. Each time learned it increases in power adding an extra "S" Rank of power.

Sharingan Copy Technique

Effect: A technique that allows the user performs the same technique as the user within reason.
Special: Eye contact must be made while Tomoe spins while it takes three movements for it to work.
Drawback: Only works with Releases. User must know the release and perform the same amount of handseals or more as the opponent.
Description: User looks at an opponent. When the opponent begins their technique the user watches and figures out if the opponent is using a Release attack while using Sight of Chakra Nature. When the user figures which release the opponent is performing and if the user knows that release they are able to copy the handseals and perform the same technique towards the opponent without knowing the technique. This technique does not allow a user to learn the technique.

[Ryutatsu "Sakurai Sword"]

Ryutatsu reacted in that split of a split second which made it seem like the whole world slowed. Houkou and Ryutatsu were in a world where speed didn't matter for they were both moving so fast the mind would not comprehend. As soon as the body switch happen many things happen all in one motion. Ryutatsu's body experienced a jolt of adrenaline that told him he was in danger(Adrenaline Jolt) and increasing his reactions many fold. More so his body's own electromagnetic field would try to protect him (Force Barrier).

Houkou tried to attack him with a variant of an attack that he knew very well indeed. It was one of his favorites, dodging it was useless and blocking almost as so. But that was for normal people Ryutatsu was not normal. Ryutatsu countered that attack in the same instant with the same attack (Keihatsu Ryuu: Amakakeru Ryū no Hirameki (Flash of the Heavenly Flying Dragon)). Their swords should clash and there would be equal pull or normally would be if Ryutatsu had did only that but he had locked with Houkou and pushed him off with a breath (Keihatsu Ryuu: Iwagui (Boulder Eater)).

For that extra step that was the secret of the move, Ryutatsu had done two things for his foot planted which would make his second strike slightly slower than Houkou's but it transmitted through the ground something more dangerous. Houkou was close enough for Ryutatsu to explode the ground from underneath Houkou and disrupt him with Tsuyosa Ryuu: Tou-ate (Distant Hit). But sealessly his entire body became charged with Chidori which he used both offensively and defensively.

Houkou though his connection with the exploding ground if struck would feel the paralyzing grasp of Chidori Nagashi, 千鳥流し (One Thousand Birds Current). Then as well that same curent would then rush into his blade as it would come around for the stronger strike in what should be a off balance and paralyzed Houkou(Chidori Nagashi, 千鳥流し (One Thousand Birds Current) to Nightin Gale) . This was all happening in a space where the second hand was too long. This was the territory that Ryutatsu specialized in.

His blade was stronger than that of a sheath used as a sword. Nightin Gale a perfected Arandur made by the witch Loki. It was special and was much stronger than most blades damaged with the very sound of it flying. More Ryutatsu was a subscriber of overkill continued the motion with a third attack of his own sheath that would be charge with more chakra (Chakra Strike). More so such exchanges was his specialty and he reached his blade in a way to be penetrating (Weapon Specialization (Katana) and Greater Penetrating Strike (Katana)).

Effect: A variation on a regular Chidori, this jutsu allows the user to generate electrically charged chakra from his body, instead of just concentrating it in their hand. The electricity can be channeled anywhere, allowing the user to enhance their attacks or defend themself. As an offensive technique, because the electricity isn't focused, it doesn't kill on contact, only paralyzes. The Current can also be sent through the ground to attack opponents from their blind spot. The user can also channel the electricity through a sword increasing its overall strength and cutting power, as well as making the area cut numb.

Description: This technique does not have the same drawbacks as that of Chidori, 千鳥, "One Thousand Birds" do to the fact that the user concentrates the technique within their whole entire body to where it is not simply concentrated in one area. Whenever the user stabs, or takes hold of an opponent the user pulses the electrical currents into the opponent's body making them immobile, as well as paralyzed. The user is only capable of shooting this technique within the ground within the distance of twenty meters to hit against opponents all around to try and paralyze them as well by hitting blind spots. This technique is also capable of being produced to stop techniques within the Earth Realm of "B" Rank and lower which may occur within the distance of ten meters around the user. Any earth technique created outside this range is still capable of harming the user. For cutting power this technique is capable of making all cuts numb paralysing the section it cuts as well as increasing a blade technique by contact of sword by one rank.

Description: Normally, a normal strike is performed by drawing the katana from its sheath on one side while stepping forward with the opposite foot, however, at the last moment before the attack, the user adds yet another step mid-draw with the foot adjacent to the sheath before drawing his sword. This endangers the user by possibly putting the adjacent leg into the free sword's path and draws one even closer to an opponent's sword than usual, but on the other hand, boosts both the power and the speed of the Battōjutsu swing. This technique is a two-step move and, if its secret should be anticipated and the strike itself blocked or dodged, the second step comes immediately into effect. The immense force of the enhanced draw cuts the air in front of it and creates a powerful vacuum in its wake as the deflected air rushes back into place. Any opponent to deflect or dodge the first swing will automatically be subject to this vacuum and inexorably pulled closer to the user. Additionally, with the great amount of force being applied to the technique, a missed swing leads naturally into a spin akin to the Keihatsu Ryuu: Soryūsen (Paired Dragon Strike). The added momentum of the spin in addition to the pulling force of the vacuum on both side results in a second strike that greatly dwarfs the first in power.

The user takes in a deep breath while taking a step towards the opponent applying a strong stance. The user then exerts out the breath while pushing their weight into the sword, and slashing forward. This applies great force onto the opposing sword while knocking the opponent off balance and into a prone position. This allows the user enough time to prepare for another Battōjutsu strike.

Keihatsu Ryuu: Soryūsen (Paired Dragon Strike)

Description: The user uses both their sword and their sheath to do this move. The user starts with the Keihatsu Ryuu: Battōjutsu no Kamae (Art of Drawing the Blade Posture) and allows the opponent strike first. At the last moment, the user draws their blade performing Keihatsu Ryuu: Battōjutsu (Art of Drawing the Blade) to hit the opponent. If the opponent somehow manages to dodge the first attack, the user follows through with their sheath. The sheath strike delivers a pulverizing blow capable of crushing bone and shattering wood, but if the sword strike misses, the sheath strike acts as powerful insurance, preventing an opponent's attack and delivering a crushing blow when it's least expected. Unsheathing the sword takes up no movements when performing the first attack, however the second attack does take up a movement. The user sacrifices a movement when sheathing the sword.

Tsuyosa Ryuu: Futae no Kiwami (Mastery of Two Layers)

Description: The Futae no Kiwami is a technique that focuses on allowing the full use of one's strength and power to be fully utilized at its maximum output. The Futae no Kiwami's principle aspects come from understanding that all matter bears a level of resistance, and that a single blow's impact is wasted upon meeting this resistance. From this, two blows are to be acted to fully transfer this impact. With the fist, the first blow, using the proximal interphalangeal joints of the hand, meets to absorb the object's initial resistance. The first hit allows the user to bypass +10 Hardness. Then, with folding the hand immediately to switch over to the proximal phalanx knuckles, delivers the final strike to the weakened object; in addition, the two hits are to be delivered at nearly the same time, with a few milliseconds interval. The 2nd strike deals 16 Armour Points of Damage per Class Level. The result is the complete destruction of the object (Can destroy overview Objects if it bypasses the Hardness), which has no more resistance to sustain itself and collapses into dust. Technique does double damage against inanimate objects while creating a crater 1/2 a meter per 16 Armour Points of Damage. User may relearn this technique multiple times. Each time learned allows the user to bypass an additional +2 Hardness while dealing +8 Armour Points of Damage per Class Level. May be performed once per movement.

Description: As a Weaving Movement, user can imbue their weapons with a fraction of their power. For 5 rounds per Class Level, the user's weapons deal +1 damage and are treated as Chakra for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction. This bonus increases by +1 per Class Level to a maximum of +5 at "S" Class. At "B" Class, user's extra damage can be of the acid, cold, electricity, or fire type. At "A" Class, user's weapon damage increases by +6 to that respected element. If the user has the Wind Release they may apply their release to this technique turning the Elemental Damage to Slashing, Bludgeoning, or Piercing Damage depending on the type of Weapon used.

Sutatikku Nou (Static Awareness)

Effect: Allows a member of the Kyoudo blood limit to manipulate and control electrostatic charges even out of their range of sight, in their personal static field.

Drawback: One can only use this ability if it is in the range of their own electrostatic field. Only useful if one has trained Kyori Keiko a number of times. All manipulation of sensed objects is still, of course, limited by the other Kyoudo techniques.
Description: Normally one can only use their Sutatikku Nagare ability on objects they can see. However with much training and experience eventually a member of the Kyoudo become so attuned with their static field that they can 'feel' objects around them. All objects in nature carry an electrical charge even if it's at zero. An experienced Kyoudo can sense such things and manipulate them as long as it is within their own static field. This grants the user the ability of complete static awareness in their field. This is directly correlated to the amount of times one has learned Kyori Keiko (Distance Training).
Limit: Sutatikku Nagare (Static Current) ability, 500 tp in the Kyoudo clan. Once you have 500 TP of Kyoudo jutsus, this is automatically "learned".

If the user already knows Uncanny Dodge from a different source, they may automatically learn Improved Uncanny Dodge.

Description: The user learns how to proficiently dodge and evade flying objects as well as oncoming weapons through predicting the attacks. A very useful technique since the Heaven Shapeless: Stance (Single) has no defensive capabilities. The user will stand in one position and learn the minimum amount of movements required to avoid an attack. The bending of the body at a rapid pace is essential to this technique as well as ducking, side-stepping, jumping, and bobbing/weaving. Each rank the user learns the user is capable of effectively knowing how to evade a technique equal in rank.
Limit: Must learn from a Master of Tensora (天空 Heavenly Sky), Must know Heaven Shapeless: Stance (Single).

Effect: The user, through the sharpening of their five senses and an instinctual knowledge of flow, becomes aware of their surroundings and capable of defending against attacks.

Drawback: Can only be learned up to your current Character Rank.
Description: The user strives to expand their senses, taking in data from all five senses and treating each of them as equally important. Through a combination of peripheral vision, hearing, and measurement of air pressure changes, the user becomes capable of perceiving threats around them and reacting accordingly. At E rank, the user can only perceive such threats as traps or projectiles. However, at the following levels, the user becomes capable of perceiving strikes from a foe of an equal level to the rank they have learned. Therefore, a B rank ninja could strike a C rank user of this technique and the user would not be able to perceive them via this technique and lose the majority of the benefits, though their dodging would benefit from the heightened awareness nonetheless. The user may only learn this technique up to their character’s rank. Thus, a C rank character could only learn up to the C rank version of Nameru. Nameru is limited to threats within twenty meters of the foe, as anything that doesn’t enter that radius is beyond the senses of a human to perceive. However, threats are perceivable once they enter that range.
Limit: Must learn from a Gintsuki no Seikou Mai Master. Must know Hyouuryuu Yuki (Drifting Snow).

A Katana is a type of sword characterized as having a curved, slender, single-edged blade with a circular or squared guard (Tsuba) and long grip to accommodate two hands with a blade length greater than 60 cm ( 23 1⁄2 inches). The metal is silver-blue with a green reflective shine. Made of Arandur weighs the same as steel. The blade itself is engraved. Several words of power have been artistically etched into the blade. On one side it reads Florebo quocumque ferar, and on the other it's translation, "I will flower everywhere I am planted". Speaking these words while holding the blade will instill a sense of calm over the user. The user can also instill a sense of calm over those that perceive the sword and hear these words spoken, for 25 minutes. They will need to make a will save of 35 to avoid the effect. Any made save against this effect renders the target immune to this effect from this item ever again. The blade has a wide, twisted cross-guard, which makes sure the blade is both balanced and capable of protecting the owner's hands against any sliding sword and is held by a grip wrapped in elegant, black smooth leather. The scabbard has a beautiful intricate Leaf and flower designed based off of cherry blossom tree and roses.

[An'ei Sekitan]

A close range battle without his blade, exactly what he wished to avoid, but it could not be helped. The boy was fast, just as fast as he was, but he did not expect and easy contest, as he watched the boy match speed and turn. The blade rushed to his sheath and Houkou saw the extra step before it, the technique he had just used, but not from the same school. He made sure to copy it. In the meantime, he also made sure to move out of the way with the use of momentum from his attack, the sheath of his blade sliced clean through by the superior sword Ryutatsu carried. For a brief moment before his sheath gave way, their eyes met, as Ryutatsu did not attempt to shield himself, and Houkou impressed upon him a fear so great that it would make him shake should he succumb to it.

From his glare came the death of a boy, bloodied and alone, alive and in agony. His flesh torn by his worst nightmares, his eyes filled with his greatest fears, and an impression that this man before him could cause it all to come. Genkaku Houkou was the Deliverer of Fear, the unstoppable reaper, embodiment of all that was black. Endless torment flowed into the mind of this boy, a ceaseless pain of loss, the torture of himself and all he held dear in this world or the next. Though they were similar in strength, this could rattle even the strongest of men. Genkaku Houkou is become Death, weep all who gaze upon him, for damnation must certainly wait in those eyes. Then the world would switch back to the hyper-realized time.

The earth seemed to explode where he had been before, the spin bringing him out to Ryutatsu’s left side as he slid in the dust and pebbles, and then he saw the boy light up like a thunderhead. Instinctively, Houkou would leap, the momentum carrying him outward as the ground pulsed and a thousand birds cried out in pain, another Chidori passing beneath him. How often can he use that? It must be taxing.[End: Should he not be Gen’d]

Houkou landed ten meters away having accomplished nothing beyond being disarmed, blood on his right arm marking that he had been cut, and having lost his shirt somewhere. It was no time to rest however, having punched through a series of handseals before his feet had even touched down again, ending the moment he was looking back toward Ryutatsu. Houkou would open his mouth to the sky, releasing an orb of pure flame that shot toward the heavens, so bright that to look upon it would blind you. Once in position, it began to bombard the area in a near simultaneous fashion, exploding into hundreds of fireballs that rained down on his opponent and the area of the arena for fifty meters. Dash! Swift as the wind, Houkou Dashed backwards twenty meters instantaneously as everywhere from the north gate to the half way point just before him was decimated by his technique. Without a sheath, his blade was useless, so he would not go for it. Instead he took up the stance for Gouken, prepared to fight fist to blade and lightning, should Ryutatsu survive his latest onslaught.

Description: The user locks eye contact with the opponent. Once eye contact has been made, they can envelop the enemy with fear. This fear can affect the most courageous and even those without emotions. This technique has no other affects, however it can cause an opponent to slow or even halt their actions in morbid fear of the opponent. The greater the difference in rank the greater the affect. (IE if an S-rank shinobi used this technique on a D-rank ninja, they would cower in fear or run away no matter how courageous they may be)

Futon: Bursting Sun

Effect: This jutsu is designed to completely overwhelm the opponent in phoenix flowers by an extremely bright orb bursting into a flurry of fireballs. offensive (100 meters at the most)

Drawback: The user is also in range of this attack if not protected properly.
Description: The user performs the necessary handsigns and quickly launches a bright sun like orb into the sky from his/her mouth. While blinding the opponent, the orb bursts into many fireballs completely showering the area. This jutsu has the potential to easily destroy a forested area in an instant! the force of the fireballs are close to the force of small meteorites that would launch from the atmosphere, thus sending not only bursts of phoenix fire to do major damage, but the shockwave from the impact fiercely blowing away anything that’s not properly protected ( some sort of very hard substance, ex, steel)

Description: User is able to perform with Shunshin no Jutsu - Oshi, and Ken'in. User is able to sharply change direction while in mid Shunshin. Unlike Shunshin no Jutsu - Ko where it becomes an arc, the user may dramatically change to the left, right, or even back. May only be used within the distance of 10 meters even while making the dramatic change in direction.
Limit: Must be an Inuzuka member. Must know The 5 Shunshin no Jutsu (Body Flicker Technique).

[Ryutatsu "Sakurai Sword"]

Ryutatsu caught Houkou's eyes with its own strangeness. Something was tried but Ryutatsu could not tell what really because he Ryutatsu resisted it with sheer focus on what he was doing. The disciplined mind of a sword master was no easy thing to break. But the attempt had been valiant. Houkou's Dash back away from Ryutatsu though would be cut short as Ryutatsu had Houkou in close range now and wasn't going to let that go to waste.

Ryutatsu performed a counter Shunshin instant movement. So they had flowed together in that split second and Ryutatsu had cut him off. Before even allowing him the time to do more than look to the sky. For while he had looked to the sky Ryutatsu had gone low, so low as to be below the normal line of sight to attack from below at a speed that was no less than before (Keihatsu Ryuu: Shidensen (Purple Lightning Flash)). The step that allowed the upper cut variation of a flash draw also allowed him to firm his step heel toe to let loose a second attack from below.

The ground would again explode while they were within very close quarters (Tsuyosa Ryuu: Tou-ate (Distant Hit)). But Ryutatsu figuring this man moves as quick as he does would continue the onslaught with a vicious series of thirty strikes towards the man's torso (Gosei Ryuu: Ryūsōsen (Dragon's Nest Strike)). They were in the realm where time really ceased to be.

This was Ryutatsu's natural state to not allow even a breath or a blink to happen once blades were joined. It was just Houkou's unfortunate to lose his blade so early. Ryutatsu had to leave Nightin Gale behind as it would have been to slow to sheathed as he had followed Houkou. It was why he carried a second blade, the Abyssal Shard. In it carried a charge as well from his Chidori though Abyssal was secondary in power to Nightin Gale.

Ryutatsu's Chakra reserves were still healthy even though he been plowing through use of chidori so far four times in a few seconds but because of this variation he was okay. But getting more energy after the fight would not be ad-missed as he started to sweat with effort. Ryutatsu's other great fault in fights was endurance was not one of his strengths. Ryutatsu had nothing but his attack to stop the fire attack. But that was okay by staying close to Houkou his was mostly out of the line of fire.

Effect: A variation on a regular Chidori, this jutsu allows the user to generate electrically charged chakra from his body, instead of just concentrating it in their hand. The electricity can be channeled anywhere, allowing the user to enhance their attacks or defend themself. As an offensive technique, because the electricity isn't focused, it doesn't kill on contact, only paralyzes. The Current can also be sent through the ground to attack opponents from their blind spot. The user can also channel the electricity through a sword increasing its overall strength and cutting power, as well as making the area cut numb.

Description: This technique does not have the same drawbacks as that of Chidori, 千鳥, "One Thousand Birds" do to the fact that the user concentrates the technique within their whole entire body to where it is not simply concentrated in one area. Whenever the user stabs, or takes hold of an opponent the user pulses the electrical currents into the opponent's body making them immobile, as well as paralyzed. The user is only capable of shooting this technique within the ground within the distance of twenty meters to hit against opponents all around to try and paralyze them as well by hitting blind spots. This technique is also capable of being produced to stop techniques within the Earth Realm of "B" Rank and lower which may occur within the distance of ten meters around the user. Any earth technique created outside this range is still capable of harming the user. Description: The Futae no Kiwami is a technique that focuses on allowing the full use of one's strength and power to be fully utilized at its maximum output. The Futae no Kiwami's principle aspects come from understanding that all matter bears a level of resistance, and that a single blow's impact is wasted upon meeting this resistance. From this, two blows are to be acted to fully transfer this impact. With the fist, the first blow, using the proximal interphalangeal joints of the hand, meets to absorb the object's initial resistance. The first hit allows the user to bypass +10 Hardness. Then, with folding the hand immediately to switch over to the proximal phalanx knuckles, delivers the final strike to the weakened object; in addition, the two hits are to be delivered at nearly the same time, with a few milliseconds interval. The 2nd strike deals 16 Armour Points of Damage per Class Level. The result is the complete destruction of the object (Can destroy overview Objects if it bypasses the Hardness), which has no more resistance to sustain itself and collapses into dust. Technique does double damage against inanimate objects while creating a crater 1/2 a meter per 16 Armour Points of Damage. User may relearn this technique multiple times. Description: A rapid striking attack. The user uses speed within their attack and attacks three times per movement to an opponent's body. This is used to stop large opponents or large objects. Depending on the user's movements depends on how many times a user are able to perform this attack. The user is also capable of adding in the technique Gosei Ryuu: Ryusen (Dragon Strike) within each strike making a more devastating attack.

Sutatikku Nou (Static Awareness)

Effect: Allows a member of the Kyoudo blood limit to manipulate and control electrostatic charges even out of their range of sight, in their personal static field.

Drawback: One can only use this ability if it is in the range of their own electrostatic field. Only useful if one has trained Kyori Keiko a number of times. All manipulation of sensed objects is still, of course, limited by the other Kyoudo techniques.
Description: Normally one can only use their Sutatikku Nagare ability on objects they can see. However with much training and experience eventually a member of the Kyoudo become so attuned with their static field that they can 'feel' objects around them. All objects in nature carry an electrical charge even if it's at zero. An experienced Kyoudo can sense such things and manipulate them as long as it is within their own static field. This grants the user the ability of complete static awareness in their field. This is directly correlated to the amount of times one has learned Kyori Keiko (Distance Training).
Limit: Sutatikku Nagare (Static Current) ability, 500 tp in the Kyoudo clan. Once you have 500 TP of Kyoudo jutsus, this is automatically "learned".

If the user already knows Uncanny Dodge from a different source, they may automatically learn Improved Uncanny Dodge.

Description: The user learns how to proficiently dodge and evade flying objects as well as oncoming weapons through predicting the attacks. A very useful technique since the Heaven Shapeless: Stance (Single) has no defensive capabilities. The user will stand in one position and learn the minimum amount of movements required to avoid an attack. The bending of the body at a rapid pace is essential to this technique as well as ducking, side-stepping, jumping, and bobbing/weaving. Each rank the user learns the user is capable of effectively knowing how to evade a technique equal in rank.

Effect: The user, through the sharpening of their five senses and an instinctual knowledge of flow, becomes aware of their surroundings and capable of defending against attacks.

Drawback: Can only be learned up to your current Character Rank.
Description: The user strives to expand their senses, taking in data from all five senses and treating each of them as equally important. Through a combination of peripheral vision, hearing, and measurement of air pressure changes, the user becomes capable of perceiving threats around them and reacting accordingly. At E rank, the user can only perceive such threats as traps or projectiles. However, at the following levels, the user becomes capable of perceiving strikes from a foe of an equal level to the rank they have learned. Therefore, a B rank ninja could strike a C rank user of this technique and the user would not be able to perceive them via this technique and lose the majority of the benefits, though their dodging would benefit from the heightened awareness nonetheless. The user may only learn this technique up to their character’s rank. Thus, a C rank character could only learn up to the C rank version of Nameru. Nameru is limited to threats within twenty meters of the foe, as anything that doesn’t enter that radius is beyond the senses of a human to perceive. However, threats are perceivable once they enter that range.

Houkou saw that the boy dropped his blade and tried to follow him, but he was not quite as skilled, not quite following but ending up somewhere in the vicinity of ten meters off. That boy thought he would capitalize? No, it would be Houkou who did this day, Dash activating again as he returned to the area, snatching the weapon from the ground, the Nightin Gale. He had moved a hair before Ryutatsu had arrived, foregoing his previous plan so that he could equip himself. It was a superb blade, much better than Unnamed, but it had not seen much combat like this. Picking up his discarded sheath that was nearby as well, he affixed it as he dashed away again, a zigzag that put him twenty meters from Ryutatsu, and he affixed the half sheath to his belt. It would function. He sheathed Nightin Gale.

Houkou would unsheathe the blade and stab it into the ground, hilt to the sky, and step back from the weapon. With a nod toward Ryutatsu, he would wave toward the announcer that he was finished, then retrieve his blade and kunai from beneath the earth, sheathing Unnamed and re-equipping himself. That done, he made his way from the arena, no time to waste now that he had warmed up sufficiently. His Sharingan had weakened in this clone body and he would need to make it stronger by other means.

Ryutatsu bowed to the exiting foe. "Good fight, warrior. May your blade stay ever sharp." The match was over and it was a good challenge he had. He learned that training other young ones had made his skills rusty. He needed to improve and in a hurry if that was the caliber of the enemies of his lands. It could have been much worse if the battle lasted much longer.

Ryutatsu exited as he collected his items back. He was happy he hadn't had to go to extreme measures of using his explosives. Ryutatsu is happy for the exercise and knowing now another opponent. He didn't even have to pull out his wood skills in this fight but against that fire it would have been poor going.

Shiki sat in the arena armory for the moment. His sapphire eyes looking at his own reflection as he waited for his armor to finish its diagnostics. His eyes wandered down the pale reflection of the figure standing in front of him. He had changed so much since he decided to take a life outside the comforts of his stronghold. The grueling life he lived had changed his appearance dramatically. While his snow white hair and deep sapphire eyes remained. His checks had lost what little baby fat he had left from his teenage years. His chest was now covered with long knotted scars from several battles and fights with monsters and men alike. The warm orange torch light was the only thing that gave his gaunt skin the illusion of pigment in this room. 

Shiki looked back at the luminescent computer monitor in the corner. The amount combat had changed to him since he started his path as a venator was Ineffable. Everything that revolved around his life was centered on combat, the smallest things on the planet could be lethal. One misstep was the difference between victory or death on the battlefield. Shiki couldn't help but feel the deep longing in his heart to set the blade down for the last time. Just eyeing his Tokihaga on the table Shiki could feel a strange tenseness in the air. Hiraeth was the word of the day. The one thing Shiki wanted most desperately was to return to that ideal world he once lived in. A world where his purpose was so clearly defined, where his safety was assured regardless of how true that may or may not have been. There was a homesickness for a home that never existed and that no one could return to. 

Shiki's thoughts were interrupted as he heard the computer beep as the diagnostics were finished. An emotionless and metered robotic voice soon spoke breaking the silence in the room. "Talos armor system is OPERATIONAL. System check is GREEN. Combat effectiveness is 100%." Shiki remained motionless as his eyes glazed over. His mind was numb but his body would suddenly stand upwards from the desk. He landed softly and nimbly as he slowly pulled his shirt on over his head. Shiki Senri was no longer needed for this next crucible. His students needed the White Wolf. Shiki grabbed the obdernium chest plate and shrugged on the familiar weight. With each part of the armor worn the wolf felt more and more like himself. Shiki took a vial of thick skin and put it into the auto injector harness in his armor. 

Grabbing the Tokihaga the blade felt literally weightless as it hummed a bright blue to his touch. These students of his were sheltered from the world outside of this dojo. Without you here to overcome they would become complacent in their power. Complacency will kill them. Your lack of preparation will mean their deaths. The wolf affirmed to himself as he secured his shoulder armor to his chest plate. Fixing on his stormium gauntlets with his crossbow pistols Shiki was ready for contest with his students. He slowly walked out from the bloodworks of the arena and into the courtyard. He would wait for his students to arrive before finally speaking. 

“As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. Today I will be your iron.” Shiki said shortly. "Many of you are talented at casting jutsu and using techniques. Today you will learn how to fight as if your life depended on it. If you hope to have any chance as winning today as a group you will need to hold nothing back and come at me with intent to kill." Shiki concluded. "Let's begin."

Raging Current

Effect: Allows the user to send shock waves through the weapon.
Special: Shocking value is determined by a correlation of the jutsu’s rank and the player’s difficulty class. If the victim’s difficulty class is the same as the jutsu’s rank, the victim will be paralyzed for one post, and suffer a slight speed lost for the next. If the victim’s class is one above the rank, they will be paralyzed for one post, without speed loss. If the victim is two ranks above the jutsu’s rank, they merely suffer speed loss for one turn. For every rank the victim’s class is under the jutsu, an extra paralyzing turn is added. Speed loss is always half, regardless of rank. Chakra draining rate is the same as the user's best ‘Chakra Absorption’ technique, without actually needing to activate the extra jutsu.
Drawback: Items and surfaces that don’t conduct electricity will not be affected.
Description: Whenever the victim comes in any form of contact with the sword, a steady chakra connection is made, and his chakra is slowly drained. Additionally, any metallic item, or item that can conduct lightning that comes in contact with the blade will received an immediate shock. Drawback: One can only use this ability if it is in the range of their own electrostatic field. Only useful if one has trained Kyori Keiko a number of times. All manipulation of sensed objects is still, of course, limited by the other Kyoudo techniques.
Description: Normally one can only use their Sutatikku Nagare ability on objects they can see. However with much training and experience eventually a member of the Kyoudo become so attuned with their static field that they can 'feel' objects around them. All objects in nature carry an electrical charge even if it's at zero. An experienced Kyoudo can sense such things and manipulate them as long as it is within their own static field. Description: A training method designed to be used in conjunction with Sutatikku Nagare, this ability allows the user the capability of manipulating charges at a faster rate in order to more quickly polarize an object. The percentile rates work in a manner of seconds, meaning that if the user has not learned this ability, they can manipulate the number of charges in an object by 10% of total polarization in one second. In order to completely manipulate an object of the user's choice they must have 100% polarized it. This means that unlearned, it will normally take a Kyoudo ten seconds to get control over one object and for every time they learn this it will take one less second.
D Rank allows for the user to manipulate charges 10% faster for each time that the technique is learned. Must be learned three times before the user is capable of learning the C Rank version.
C Rank allows for the user to manipulate charges 10% faster for each time that the technique is learned. Must be learned three times before the user is capable of learning the B Rank version.
B Rank allows for the user to manipulate charges 10% faster for each time that the technique is learned. May only be learned three times, which puts the user at 100%. 3

Description: Allows the user’s Static Current ability to effect a larger area. Every time this ability is trained, the user is then allowed to manipulate charges at a longer distance. The additional distance is dependent upon the rank and number of times this technique has been learned.
E Rank increases the number of meters that the user is capable of manipulating by one for each time that the training is learned. Must be learned two times before the user may learn the D Rank. 2

Effect: Allows the user to manipulate electrostatics and electric charges.
Special: Rat, Dragon, Ram, Tiger, Monkey, Dog, Horse, Rabbit once per 5 turns.
Drawback: Objects must be visible. While actively using this ability, the user must remain perfectly still, and no other jutsu may be used while the user is attempting to manipulate charges. Only metallic objects or semi-metallic objects can be manipulated.
Description: Allows the user to manipulate and control electrostatic, which is by definition electricity at rest. This gives the user the ability to move around both positive and negative charges on objects, which, in the end, can result in the ability to either repel or attract objects to and from each other. It must be noted that this jutsu strictly follows the concept of the Conservation of Charges. That means that without influence, all charges within nature are balanced at zero. Only when acted upon do these charges change. This ability is a requirement for all members of the Kyoudo Clan. When the user first gains this ability, they have only the ability to affect one object at a time within five meters of their person. At maximum, the user may move 10% of an object’s positive or negative charges to another object. While actively using this ability, the user must remain perfectly still, and no other jutsu may be used while the user is attempting to manipulate charges. Due to the relative electrical field produced by every person Kyoudo cannot affect people, and due to the low electronegativity of non-metallic objects, only metallic objects can be affected. It is only through mastery over the element of thunder that one can obtain this ability.

Description: A specialized type of training meant to be combined with Sutatikku Nagare, this ability allows the user the capability of manipulating the charges of additional objects so that the user can more quickly cause distinct polarization of objects.

Drawback: These abilities are almost required if the user wishes to become a capable fighter. Cannot be used at the same time with other techniques.
Description: A type of training meant to be combined with Sutatikku Nagare, it allows the user the capability of mobility and, at higher levels, the ability to perform other techniques, all while the user manipulates the charges of objects. The user's rank of this technique determines how mobile that they are allowed to be.
• “C” - Allows the user to move at a running pace while controlling currents. Any intense physical combat or the use of other jutsu while controlling these effects will result in the user being unable to manipulate charges for the rest of the turn and for the duration of the jutsu that they were using.
• “B” - Allows the user to fight in intense hand-to-hand combat while controlling currents. However, any use of jutsu while controlling the current effects will result in the user being unable to manipulate charges for the rest of the turn and for the duration of the jutsu they were using.

Karui would walk into the gladiatorial section of the school in which he would see Shiki in some sort of high tech armor. Karui would approach Shiki and listen to everything he was about to say to those who were around him. After hearing everything Shiki had to say Karui said "hmm this could be some very useful training". After saying this Karui prepared himself for the fight that was soon to happen here and wondered if he would even make it out alive since he was fighting Shiki.
