CHUNIN EXAMS RESTRUCTURING PROPOSAL.
Purpose: To present a more efficient, rewarding, and authentic roleplay experience with regards to participating in a Chunin Exam.
Challenges (Current): The Chunin Exams move slowly, offer low incentive for joining, are rarely described as fun, and often become more complicated than anyone feels like handling. The Chunin title is usually a consolation prize for stagnated threads.
Solutions (Proposed): Less participants per exam + More exams, offer more incentive for becoming Chunin, structure closer to the purpose, premise, and story integrity of the canon CE's, simplify the stages and workload by creating a methodology of variation within limitation.
Each phase, participants are graded by the Kage anywhere from 0 - 25 points, with 25 being a perfect score for the ideal Chunin level skill. An overall score of 75+ is considered a passing grade (meaning those who are terrible at combat, for instance, can still pass even if they receive no points for that part of the examination).
As a village-wide event, each Kage (new/old) is allowed to host their village CE once (1) at a time of their choosing.
Kage's gain one (1) additional CE per 5 active Genin in the village; activity meaning both registered in the village database and currently participating in roleplay thread(s).
Things Unchanged: Rank/TP/Mission Requirements
Staff Logistics: Can still be approved/denied like any other village-wide event to ensure there's a genuine level of difficulty involved. A general Roleplay Phase setup and a general Combat Phase set up can be submitted in the Staff Section for approval by Heero, representing what he is satisfied with as an appropriate level of competency for Chunin rank, while Kage's design their remaining two phases with the future of their village in mind.
Let me know what you all think.
