Objective: watch the children at the local swimming hole.
Description: in the village is a large sink hole that’s filled with water and become a makeshift swimming hole for the children of Kusagakure. Watch over the kids as a life guard and protect them from harm.
Reward: 16,000 Ryo

    The young Yamanaka knew very well the large sink hole, having grown up in the village of Kusagakure; he used to play there when he was a kid. He hasn't been there since the time before his ninja academy days, however, and he certainly had never been a lifeguard. Nevertheless, the mission board in the Kusakage's Keep stated that one was needed. 

    Inoryu arrived at the sinkhole as soon as possible. Upon entering the area, he felt some nostalgia and remember what it was like to be a kid. The children were a raucous of excitement splashing, swimming, yelling, playing, diving, and in general socializing. Inoryu picked a spot where he had a vantage point of the area; the roof of a nearby house just a few meters away from the commotion, and sat comfortably while his legs dangled off the side. 

    Everything seemed to be going smoothly. The children were having fun, and the adults appeared to be care-free while enjoying a nice swim. Inoryu hoped it would be an uneventful day at the sink hole.

    An hour passed by and the commotion continued to stir. Inoryu sat there bathing in the sun when he spotted a little girl jump in without knowing how to swim or tread water; she appeared to be struggling to keep her head above the water. Inoryu moved towards her using shunshin and appeared before the girl instantaneously, reached out, and grabbed her by the elbow. 

    The girl became calm as Inoryu pulled her to the side of the sinkhole where she can grab the edge and keep her head above water, "Since you are learning to swim, don't jump so far in. Stay close to the edge."

    "Okay," the girl replied. 

    "Also, if you want to practice treading water, the trick is to remain calm. The more you panic: the more you sink. Stay calm, and find a rhythm to kick your feet. While you are kicking your feet, pretend your arms are wings and you flap them like a bird. Go on, try it." 

    "Okay," the girl said. She lightly pushed off the edge of the sink hole and did as she was told. After a brief moment her face lit up with a joyous expression, "I'm doing it! I'm doing it!" she exclaimed.
    
    "Very good," Inoryu returned enthusiastically, "Now all you gotta do is keep practicing."

    A few hours passed when Inoryu spotted children starting a game of tag. Inoryu didn't want to crash the party, but he couldn't allow running at the pool for their own safety. He jumped down from his post and got their attention, "Sorry guys, no running at the sinkhole. You could slip and cause an accident." 

    "Alright," the kids replied and instead jumped in for a game of "Dragon in the water". The genin returned to his post and continued watching the area in a state of zen. So beautiful was the day, so comforting the mood, so joyful the kids. Before he knew it, the sun had positioned itself to begin setting. 

    The area still continued to stir with commotion until the sun completely hid behind the landscape. At this point the children started to leave as per the rules, and only adults were allowed to stay. The genin made one last check that everyone present knew how to swim taking his leave. Inoryu felt a certain kind of happiness due to his progress. Just five more missions and he qualified for the chunin exams.

Name: Find Mittens

Objective: A rare breed of feline as escaped his master’s home, find and capture this rare feline without causing it harm.
Description: Lord Ryan of Kusagakure has lost his precious, rare, Feline named mittens. He is still in the village, and is most likely near the fish market, as he loves tune. Tour objective is to locate Mittens and somehow capture him without causing him to much harm. Upon acceptance of this mission, a capture cage will be given to house the cat, should you catch him.
Reward: 14,000 Ryo

    It was early in the morning, just after sunrise when Inoryu had gone to meet his client: Lord Ryan of Kusagakure. The genin approached the large, two story home and knocked on the lion's handle. The door swung open to reveal a middle-aged man with dark shoulder length hair in a green cotton robe. His face lit up when he saw Inoryu's forehead protector tied around his neck, "You're here for Mittens! Please come in!" Lord Ryan welcomed the genin inside and offered him a seat in the living room, "Allow me to prepare you some tea.

    After a few minutes, Inoryu had green tea in his hands courtesy of Lord Ryan himself. The tea had a pleasant aroma. He sipped it and it tasted very good, a blend of Earthy flavor on par with his mother's green tea, "Thank you. Now please, tell me about Mittens. What kind of breed is he?" 

    Lord Ryan brought out a picture of him sitting on the couch, grinning with Mittens on his lap and handed it to the genin, "Mittens is a rare breed called an Suna Mau. He is...a very good pet and he brings luck to my home. He is also free to come and go as he pleases, but I haven't seen him in over a week now and I am worried something bad may have happened. You will most likely find him at the fish market. I would go search for him myself, but I can't get a break from my responsibilities. Here," Lord Ryan grabbed a capture cage to fit the cat, "You can use this to house him until you bring him home and you can take that picture for reference." 

    Inoryu could really tell that Lord Ryan cared for Mittens. He took another sip of his tea before standing, "Don't worry Lord Ryan, Mittens will be home in no time. Inoryu stood up and bowed before taking the cage and heading to the fish market.

    Inoryu arrived at the fish market with the cage in his hand and photo in his pocket. The first thing he did was check nearby allies. He would observe the cats while going unnoticed as to not startle them. He was on a rooftop looking down into the alley. The Suna Mau had a coat that was light grey and bluish with jaguar-like markings. So far he had seen a white stray cat, a black stray cat, and a grey colored cat with no markings rummaging through a trash bin.

    The genin switched the side of the rooftop to look down over another alleyway. There were bored looking cats balancing on clotheslines, but none matched the description. "Maybe he's hiding," Inoryu thought.  

    Inoryu went to the nearby fish market and bought tuna from a young lady. He would then place the tuna inside the cage and use that as bait. He would place the cage in the center of the alleyways and draw out all of the cats in hiding.

    Inoryu placed the tuna he bought in the center of the cage as bait and placed the cage in the center of an alleyway. He hid on the rooftop and watched the cats one by one approach the cage curiously and try to reach for the tuna in the center. One cat appeared that looked exactly like the Suna Mau Lord Ryan described. The genin confirmed it was the same cat in the photo and moved to capture the cat without harming him. 

    The cat was relatively still and made for a sure target in Inoryu's twenty meter range. The genin made an oval hand seal and used his chakra to transfer his mind into the cat. The genin's body went limp, but the possession was complete. 

    Mittens the cat, now possessed by Inoryu, mechanically unlocked the cage with its paw, stepped inside, closed the cage, and locked it. Inoryu returned to his body and he checked to see if he had captured the right cat. Over the rooftop he saw Mittens now in the cage, beginning to gnaw on the tuna. 

    The genin jumped down from his hiding place, grabbed the cage and traveled back to Lord Ryan's house. He knocked with the metal handle in the lion's mouth and Lord Ryan's assistant opened the door, "Oh Mittens!" she exclaimed, "Thank you, Inoryu! Lord Ryan isn't in at the moment, but I can take Mittens from here. Job well done."

    Inoryu handed Mitten and the photograph to the lady and bowed, "Thank you, Ma'am." 
With the mission complete, Inoryu would head back to the Kusakage's Keep to add another notch to his belt and accept a new mission. He wondered what else he had in store.

Name: The New Generation

Description: The first day of Kusagakure's shinobi academy is underway and due to the influx of students with the lack of academy staff, petitions have been put out for active shinobi to help with grouping the new students and helping them navigate the hallways and grounds of the Academy.
Objective: Assist with organizing new academy students and help with initial orientation
Reward: 16,000 Ryo

    Inoryu arrived at the Ninja Academy and it brought about a sense of nostalgia. He had spent years in the academy learning the basics of what was required to be a ninja of the village. This included but was not limited to chakra control, survival training, shuriken jutsu, combat training, and tactical study. 
   
    He looked down at his paper to see what classroom he was assigned to for the day. Inoryu read, "2-D," in bold letters.  He made his way up the stairs and unlocked the second door on his left. 
   
    When he opened the door, some of the students standing around began to enter. Inoryu smiled towards the enthusiastic new students as he held the door open and he followed after them. He noted that four new students entered the classroom. Two girls were socializing, and the two boys chose seats to sit in. 

[Inoryu]

    Inoryu took the marker and wrote his name large enough for the entire room to see, "Yamanaka, Inoryu." He then sat at his desk and skimmed over the bound papers in front of him. It was the list of every academy student enrolled in the school and the classroom they have been assigned. If there was any confusion about where a student needed to be, then Inoryu could correct it. 

    As the time got closer to begin class, more students began rolling in. They were mostly around eight years old, but there were a couple of students that had been held back for at least a year. "No problem," Inoryu thought, "They'll have another chance to learn the material." 
    
    The bell rang and one last student had walked in just in time. Inoryu stood up and introduced himself, "My name is Inoryu Yamanaka. Today, I will be your substitute. I was once a student of the ninja academy so feel free to ask me anything or come to me with your concerns. I am happy to help. But first, let's take roll." Inoryu began reading off the names of the students who were supposed to be in his class, listening for the student's reply, and marking who was present and who was absent as he went through the list.

    "Okay, anyone I didn't call, raise your hand," Inoryu said. Two students raised their hands. He nodded towards the older one, "What is your name?" Inoryu picked up the papers that were bound together. 

    "Isuke, Yamado," he answered.

    "Isuke, Yamado," Inoryu repeated as he flipped to the back of the papers, "Yamado Isuke, you are supposed to be in room 3-F, under the supervision of Jun Gaimen. Do you know where the classroom is?" Yamado shook his head, "You go up one more flight of stairs, it'll be the third door on your right, on the right side. Go now." Yamado nodded his head. "Okay, and your name is?" Inoryu asked

    "Serin Jimbo," he said. 

     Inoryu flipped over the paper and found the student, "You are supposed to be in classroom, 1-B. Do you know where that is?" Serin shook his head. Inoryu noted that he looked a little young, maybe six years old, so Inoryu asked the class, "Who knows where classroom 1-B is?" Several hands were raised. Inoryu nodded at the girl on the left, "Please escort Serin to 1-B then return immediately."

    "Yes Yamanaka Sensei," she said before they went off. 

    "Okay, and that's that. Today is just orientation so enjoy your free time for the rest of the hour and ask me anything if you want a head start on your education. Otherwise, the lessons start tomorrow." Inoryu was surprised to see so many students rush up to him to ask him about his experience as a ninja and ask hypothetical questions. After a couple of minutes, the girl returned, and everything was set for the year. 

    After spending his entire morning with the kids, he was enthusiastic about the next generation of ninja for Kusagakure. Today had just begun and he had time to take on another mission. He would head back to the Kusakage Keep to complete this mission transaction and browse what other missions were available.

Name: Guiding Youth

Description: Konjo Teruo is a student of Kusagakure's shinobi academy and is generally an average student, but his complete lack of tactical and survival skill prevents him from graduating. He is becoming depressed as this is the fourth time he has failed and all of his friends are ninja while he is not. The Academy instructors are at their wits end trying to help this boy, but all their attempts have failed. Finally, Teruo's parents put in a request to the village shinobi to take him out into the field and give him a more realistic dose of what it means to survive.
Objective: Help Teruo improve his tactical and survival training
Reward: 16,000 Ryo

    Inoryu waited at the field patiently for his student to arrive. He was completely in the moment, in tune with his breath, the wheat blowing in the breeze, the cool air passing, the sun only just rising. Eventually a young boy, black of hair, wearing a tan leather jacket, a black shirt, and black pants arrived. "Just in time..." Inoryu thought. 
    
    "Inoryu Sensei? I'm Teruo, thank you for having me," Teruo said and humbly bowed. 

    "At least he's well-mannered," Inoryu thought. He cleared his throat and said, "So you're having trouble passing your grade?"

    "Yes," Teruo answered.

    "What's the problem?" Inoryu asked. 

    "My teacher says I have no skill in tactics or survival," said the boy.
    
    "Oh? Well, I just might have the solution."

    

[Inoryu]

    "It sounds as though you need to deepen your understanding of "Appropriate Reaction." Appropriate Reaction means exactly what it implies. Whatever obstacle you must deal with, you need to respond accurately. For example," Inoryu weaved through a short series of hand seals and a wild boar appeared beside him and demonstrated aggression towards Teruo, "If you had an encounter with a wild boar, and it was threatening you, what do you do?"

    "Well, I ugh... I would..." Teruo stammered.

    "Your hesitating," Inoryu said as the illusory boar began to charge, "Decide now!" 

    "Agh!" Teruo shouted as the boar appeared to impale him, "Wait...it's an illusion."

    "You are lucky that it was. You froze, Teruo. That is a critical error. Even if you had no plan or knowledge of a boar's temperament, you at least needed to avoid the charge or else you would die. Moving off the line of attack requires no thinking, just doing. Now that you know what not to do, let's try doing what you're supposed to do." Inoryu weaved through another short series of hand seals and another illusory boar appeared while the first one vanished. After it's territorial display it charged at Teruo. 

    Teruo allowed the boar to gain some distance and jumped out of the line of attack, "Good! Here it comes again!" Teruo waited for the boar to get close enough and dodged the charge again, "It would be a good idea for you to flee, or gain some distance until the boar loses interest." Teruo had gotten the hint and when the boar slipped past him, he started sprinting. The bore took chase and caught up to Teruo, and Teruo was forced to dodge again, "If you can not outrun your opponent, then outsmart your opponent."

    "How do I outsmart my opponent?!" Teruo asked wide eyed at the ultra realistic boar staring him down.

[Inoryu]

    "Here's some information for you: boars are territorial creatures and attack if their territory is threatened. He considers you a threat. Now, what can you do about it?" Inoryu asked as he sent his illusory boar charging. Teruo dodged, again, and again, and again... "You can't keep dodging him forever! Eventually you will tire and you will get hit! Outsmart him! You are a threat to his territory! Outsmart him!"

    This caused a reaction from the boy who began weaving a short series of hand seals, and in a cloud of smoke, a short, bare naked tree appeared. Inoryu was surprised, and impressed. His illusory boar turned around and laid down on the wheat unassumingly. There was a moment of silence. Quietly, the bare naked tree vanished and Teruo stood where it was rooted, and then he dropped down in a prone position and hid among the tall strands of wheat. 

    Inoryu felt that he had broken through to the boy. He felt invigorated and accomplished all at once at the boy's accomplishment. The illusory boar disappeared and Inoryu vanished in thin air and instantaneously appeared behind the Teruo and tapped his shoulder. The boy gasped and immediately moved back from where he was standing while keeping his eye on the genin. A good distance to get a good look at the person who sneaked up on you. 

    "Well done, Teruo. You applied the information I gave you to survive that situation. That was your next lesson. First, when being attacked, or even threatened, always move out of danger or into a safer place. Second, use your knowledge to give you the edge against your opponent. These lessons apply to both survival and tactics. Always keep your reflexes sharp, and strive to improve them. And the more knowledge you gain about the world, or your enemy, the more you can apply to your self preservation and tactics. Lastly, find your niche. Find something you are naturally good at and something that you want to practice and improve daily. Then you will be a fine ninja." 

    Teruo was trembling all over and he tried to hide tears in his eyes.

    "What's the matter Teruo?"

    "This has been holding me back for years, all my friends are already ninja. I couldn't keep up with the teacher when it came to this stuff, and I failed over and over. But when I apply your method, it comes so natural. Thank you!" He bowed, "I will take your lessons to heart and improve myself everyday!" 

    "Good, I think my work is done here," Inoryu said, "You don't need me anymore. Go, learn, and improve." 

    "Okay, Inoryu Sensei!" Teruo shouted enthusiastically and grinned. Inoryu would wave as Teruo went on his way. When the boy was out of sight, Inoryu headed for the Kusakage's Keep.

    "Oh man! They have no idea I have a ninja on my side! We're going to prank them so good!" The boy enthused. He was younger than Inoryu, though not by much. Inoryu had turned 18 not too long ago, the boy; Hazaki, looked fourteen or fifteen. He was not a ninja, nor were any of his friends; they only had an idea of what a ninja was truly capable of. Hazaki swept back his curly black hair out from his pitch black eyes that contrasted his pale skin. He wore a plain black t-shirt and black cargo shorts. "So," he began, "What do you have in mind?" 

    Inoryu couldn't help but be amused, "I have the perfect idea." Quietly, Inoryu disclosed his plan with Hazaki, and Hazaki listened closely, nodding, and chuckling. It was easy to tell that Hazaki absolutely loved the plan. 

    "Okay!" Hazaki said with a grin. Inoryu smiled helplessly as he weaved through a series of hand seals and vanished in thin air, "Woah, you really vanished!" Using his invisibility jutsu, Inoryu would be at Hazaki's side during the duration of the prank wars. "Now, let's go find our first victim.

Description: As a single movement, the user can charge the condition of any Shaken creature within 20 meters radius to Frightened. The creature remains Frightened for the remaining duration of the fear effect. this ability does not extend a fear effect's duration. A target of this ability must make a successful save of (10 + 2 per Class Level + Impeccable Will) to avoid becoming Frightened, but it remains Shaken.
Limit: Universal GenJutsu Technique.

    

    His name was Asano. Hazaki found him while the boy was out wandering around the village. He was Hazaki's age, silver hair, tan skin, and yellow eyes. He wore a silver shirt and navy blue shorts. He had just purchased dumplings on a stick from a local stand. 

    "Oi! Asano!" Hazaki waved and approached the young man. 

    "Hey Hazaki, what's up?" 

    "Nothing much...wait, there's something off about you today," Hazaki mentioned.

    "What do you mean, I feel fine."

    "I could see that your aura is different...dark, morbid. Have you noticed anything unusual lately?" Hazaki asked.

    "What? No. You're being weird."

    "I suppose it may not be you then, but something that has attached itself to you. Like a demon. Be wary, and take precaution. You should invest in protective charms at this time."

    "Whatever Hazaki, you're the one with the weird aura right now. See you later," the tan- skinned boy clad in silver and blue turned away while eating his dumplings. This was the perfect time for Inoryu to cast his genjutsu. He weaved through a series of hand seals, and the world around Asano began to change, getting darker as if the sun had been eclipsed, only there was no such event happening in the sky. It was as if Asano was seeing the world through a dark lens.

    Then he would notice a dark creature slowly walking out from the alley. The creature wasn't human, but an aberration. It's skin was an errie black and submerged in a black fog. It's features were feral, with fangs protruding from its mouth and two sharp horns protruding from its forehead. Its body was humanoid and skinny, taking slow bi-pedal steps from one alleyway to the one across the street. The aberration could be seen glancing sideways at Asano midway on its steady course before it was concealed in the alley and vanished. The sky slowly returned back to normal. 

    Inoryu could feel the fear radiating from Asano and after a series of hand seals, he targeted this fear, intensifying it so that Asano went from being shaken to frightened. He screamed and took off running in the other direction. 

    "That went so smooth!" Hazaki appeared to speak to the wind but Inoryu was standing beside him, completely invisible. "On to the next one!"

Learning: Intensify Fear

{Second post ungraded}

    The next victim's name was Nasaki. He was a making his way back from the grocery store with a big paper bag full of groceries in his hands. He had silky black hair that ended in a curl around his ears and vivid dark, brown eyes. He wore a black windbreaker and black pants that had two bold white rings around his shins. Hazaki spotted him and approached him, "Hey Nasaki, how are you doing?"

    "I'm doing good, and you?"

    "I'm doing alright. But I have to admit, I have been feeling a dark presence in the village lately. It's highly unusual."

    "A dark presence?" Nasaki returned skeptically.

    "Yeah, like the village is being overrun by angry ghosts or something. I just wanted to tell you: be careful," Hazaki warned.

    "Okay, I will. Thanks Hazaki," Nasaki said, sincerely. Nasaki wondered if Hazaki was going crazy. Though even if he were, Nasaki resolved that he still be kind to the boy. 

    Nasaki passed Hazaki when suddenly the world turned black, as if the sun was eclipsed and all substance around him transformed into a thick and running ink. Then a ghost of a woman would appear in the distance, with pale white skin, long white hair, a flowing white dress and white slippers. The ghost's facial expression revealed an uncontrolled anger. Her eyebrows were tucked in towards her nose, her eyes a piercing gaze of red emotion, her mouth grimacing. She made her way quickly towards Nasaki with outstretched arms. 

    Inoryu could tell the boy was shaken. Not knowingly exactly what to do, was in disbelief that Hazaki possibly wasn't crazy after all but had possibly seen one of the angry ghosts. Inoryu targeted Nasaki's fears and intensified them using genjutsu. Nasaki turned and fled from the angry ghost as quickly as he could while holding his groceries, not caring that a single grocery fell from his bag here and there. 

    When Nasaki was out of sight, Hazaki burst into laughter. Inoryu didn't find such amusement in their anguish as he thought he would, but the mission had to be done. He was reassured that all would be forgiven because Hazaki already reassured Inoryu that he would reveal to his friends tomorrow that it was all a prank and that he hired a ninja to pull it off.

Learning: Intensify Fears

{Third post ungraded}

    Her name was Haruko and she was found at the library in the Kusakage's Keep. Invisible, Inoryu followed Hazaki silently as he approached her sitting in a wooden chair with her head in a book. She had wavy black hair, round cheeks, and big aqua blue eyes and she had a small mole on the bottom right of her mouth. Her reading glasses were a black and stylish, and her lips were a deep red. She wore a comfortable, black, skin tight dress and her legs were crossed as she sat relaxed with her book titled "The Skills and Traits of Notable Women in History." 

    Hazaki sat in the wooden chair across from her and whispered, "Rumor has it that a ethereal creature has taken up residency in Kusagakure and he likes to frequent the library. I wouldn't stick around here if I were you."

    "Yeah right, like I can believe a ghost story," Haruko replied in a whisper.

    "Suit yourself, but don't say I didn't warn you," Hazaki got up to leave and hid himself downstairs in the common room while Inoryu stayed behind to work his genjutsu. Inoryu weaved through a series of hand seals and Haruko would notice that it was getting very cold in the library. She couldn't help but endure the unnatural cold.  

    Shivering, she noticed a mysterious man walk in to the library, not fully solid and transparent. She would watch him as she passed through the library shelves, walking through them while browsing the selection. She stood up abruptly, shaken and shivering. 

      Inoryu targeted her fear with his next genjutsu. At that point the scene became too frightening and forced her to flee. She left her book on the table as she ran out of the library, down the stairs, through the common room (where Hazaki spied her fleeing), and out of the Kusakage's entrance doors. Inoryu would then reappear so he and Hazaki could rendezvous. He could feel a sizable drain on his chakra at this point and he realized this mission would be a test of his stamina. He wondered how much longer could he keep this up.

Still Learning: Intensify Fears

{Fourth post ungraded}

    Inoryu was given a break for a couple hours and he merely was on stand by, accompanying Hazaki while he completed his daily tasks. These tasks included doing his laundry, doing his house chores, taking a class in business ethics, and doing some homework focused on arithmetic. The minimal physical and mental exertion allowed Inoryu to recharge much of his chakra but when Hazaki finished his tasks, the mission continued. 

    They were walking down the street searching for who to prank next. Inoryu was surprised that he was hearing people talk about 'ghosts and demons haunting Kusagakure'. He sighed, not exactly proud of himself, but he knew that these rumors would eventually pass and people would stop talking about it eventually. Inoryu thought about the business that the stores selling charms would be getting. 

    "There! That's my classmate, Shojuko. We'll prank him next. Oh, this is going to be so good!" Hazaki exclaimed. Inoryu seemed to vanish as he merged with the crowd. He had turned down a random street and used the act of tree climbing jutsu to get a vantage point. Up on the rooftop out of sight from his client and victim, he used the cupid ear jutsu to listen in on what they were saying. 

    "Yeah," Hazaki said, "The rumors are true. I've seen them with my own eyes. But I wouldn't make contact with me, or else the demons could target you too, Shojuko." 

    "What? But I've already made contact with you! We're talking right now, aren't we?!" Shojuko sounded very worried. 

    "Yeah, I guess so. Sorry Shojuko, I'll be on my way."

    As Hazaki and Shojuko were parting ways, Inoryu kept Shojuko in his sights and weaved through a series of hand seals. The chubby boy dressed in a white tunic with gold trimming and tan, baggy cargo pants, with spiky brown hair, round cheeks and a petite nose would see an apparition appear ten meters in the direction he was facing. This apparition wasn't human, but demonic. It had long, spiky white hair down to its knees, canine teeth like tusks protruding from its face, lavender skin, beady black eyes, and it wore a white robe. Shojuko would see that the apparition locked its gaze on him before releasing a terrifying snarl. The apparition would then reveal that it held a dagger in its hand, which had been hidden by its robe and it would slowly glide towards Shojuko while unsheathing the blade. 

    Shojuko was frozen in fear and Inoryu would target his fear with his next genjutsu, intensifying it with his chakra. Shojuko could do nothing but run the other direction as fast as he could, screaming as he went. This caught the attention of the people in the street who also began to panic, "The ghosts! The ghosts are here!"

    "No, I heard that they're demons!" 

    "Don't give it a reaction, it empowers them!

    "Screw that, I'm getting out of here!"

    There was mass hysteria from the people below who either took shelter in the nearby stores or fled the area. Though there were some courageous or ignorant few that were bewildered by the crowd's actions and merely went on with their business. Hazaki alone could be seen laughing hysterically from the dispersing crowd, "This is golden!" he exclaimed, struggling to catch his breath.

Still Learning: Intensify Fears

{Fifth post ungraded}

    Inoryu jumped down to the evacuated area and landed beside Hazaki. He looked around the area, which had just moments ago been full of people, now evacuated and desolate. He looked over at Hazaki who was smirking helplessly and said, "I think this is getting out of hand. There should be a line that we shouldn't cross all for the sake of your prank war."
    
    "Okay, okay, there's just one more person and we're done," Hazaki stated. Without saying another word, Inoryu followed Hazaki to a new area. They went across the village to another noble's house where he would meet a friend, "I need you to be invisible, Inoryu." Inoryu weaved through a series of hand seals and vanished in thin air.

    Hazaki knocked on the door of a noble's home and his friend's father opened the door, "Oh Hazaki! Come in! Hantaro is playing out in the backyard." 

    "Thanks Mr. Yamamoto," Hazaki replied as he let himself in.

    Inoryu leaped onto the brick wall that enclosed the house and he ran along it to the backyard where Hantaro was playing. Hantaro was Hazaki's age with high end clothes made of silk and a long black braid that ran down to his waist. His blue eyes were focused on the ball as he juggled it in the air with his foot. 

    "Hantaro!" Hazaki approached. 

    "Hazaki! Hello friend!" Hantaro returned. 

    "Have you heard the rumors? Everyone is saying that the village has been overrun by ghosts. You haven't seen any have you?" Hazaki asked. 

    "No. But I was wondering why my father had bought me a charm against that stuff. See?" Hantaro took out a fine golden card from his pocket with an inscription on it. 

    "Wow. Cool."

    Inoryu began weaving through hand seals and Hantaro would see a ghoul appear at the west end of his backyard. The ghoul was hunchbacked with elongated arms, asymmetrical teeth and a unusual gait. He would make his way over to Hantaro awkwardly.

    "Oh you mean, like that thing over there?" Hantaro asked Hazaki.

    "What thing?"

    "You don't see it? Whatever," Hantaro faced the ghoul, "I'm not afraid of you, demon! I have protection!" Suddenly Hantaro charged at the menacing ghoul and tagged it with his charm. Inoryu had decided that he had done his part, and the mission was over. The ghoul seemed to vanish, "It's gone now. So, let's kick the ball around."

    Inoryu was happy that the mission was over, and that he was no longer contracted to Hazaki, but he couldn't leave for some reason. It took him a moment to discover why. He wanted Hazaki to pay for the damage he has caused using a ninja for a prank war was over the top. Inoryu could see the mistakes he made, but he felt that he had to give Hazaki a taste of his own medicine, that there wasn't any joy in the anguish he caused, though Inoryu thought there might have been at the start. He began weaving through a series of hand seals, and Hazaki would see an aberration appear; a bony creature with spines protruding from his vertebrae and glowing red eyes. Hazaki would see the creature, and Inoryu would intensify his fears with genjutsu. Suddenly, Hazaki was fleeing the backyard and fleeing the house. 

    "Hey wait, I have a charm to protect you!" Hantaro called out after him. Then he shrugged and returned back to juggling his ball. Hazaki could be heard fleeing all the way down the street. Inoryu sighed. He wasn't proud of himself. He felt as though he made an awful mess of things and regretted his decision today, but the mission was accomplished.

Still Learning: Intensify Fears

{Sixth post ungraded}

    In hindsight, Inoryu felt he had went about that mission all wrong. What he thought might bring him amusement actually made him upset. He felt he had a firm grip on the genjutsu that intensifies one's fears, but he regretted using it in that context. 
    
    Regardless of how he felt about the mission though, he had gotten a good amount of practice with the technique and he was confident he could use it in different situations. He also had a very accurate understand of how much chakra the jutsu expedites. He imagined himself in different scenarios, where he could use this technique and survive. 

     He made his way down the streets of Kusagakure, happy to make way to the Kusakage's Keep where he could put another notch under his belt. Then he only had one more mission to qualify for the chunin exams. He welcomed the change of subject. "The chunin exams," he thought, I would feel better using that jutsu there, among my adversaries."
