x2 Partial Transformation
Rank: "C"
Skill: Supplementary
Effect: A basic technique that allows the user to transform a limb or more under the effect of the Protean blood.
Special: ---
Drawback: May be learned 7 times. (2) Legs, (2) Arms, (Torso) Front, (Torso) Back, Head
Description: This technique allows the user to transform a limb using the effects of the Protean blood that resides within them. This is simply a "prerequisite" technique. When first learned the user may only transform 1 limb (arm or a leg). Each time learned the user may transform an additional limb. Example: If the user knows this technique twice, they may transform 1 arm into a Shield, and the other into a Blade, or both into Shields as long as the user knows the required techniques. It takes "C" rank worth of Handseals in time to transform individual limbs.
Limit: Must be a Protean.
Nihogg grinned as several skeletal figures fled from him. The undead were wise to run from a dragon-in-training. Growling, he continued chewing as a series of harsh crunching sounds escaped his lips. One of the slower skeletal warriors had been swallowed whole and turned into a snack for his draconic blood. His throat, essentially turning into a blender, ground the supernatural bones into dust.
This dust then pooled in his stomach, before being drained away and absorbed into his blood near instantly. The taste of undead was foul. However, the hint of magic the bones were marinated in more than made up for that. Adding the power to his own reserves, his body began to shift and change. Once mere skin, the flesh of his right arm began to shift and change.
Slowly, spiked protrusions began to bleed out from Nidhogg’s right arm. These spikes then folded over, revealing themselves to be thick black scales. The overall outline of his arm remained the same, yet thanks to his draconic blood, he was granted his first set of scales along the entirety of his arm. How much further along the path of the dragon could he travel by devouring the cretin?
“Feed me, for I hunger!” He bellowed wildly – now more akin to a hungry beast than a 'dragon'.
