Jormungandr looked over at Miku with a frown on his face, as she talked about calling his mother for help, if they found the plant. His cheeks puffed up a bit as he took the dagger he was playing with in his hand, and launched off to the side. It embeeded itself into a boulder, that was about 8 meters away.

"We don't need my mother! I can do it!" Jormungandr said excitedly, clearly a little upset, by Miku's statement.He then motioned for the dagger, and it fly back towards him. He looked down at his dagger and started to toy around with it. He was becoming more skilled with these things the more he played around with them. Now that he had Shiki's Cloak of Protection it made them a great deal easier to carry around as well. Maybe he should focus a bit of his time to them.

"Yeah, my mother like to refer to the one's she's given me as Blessings. Like with most things, it's not the power itself that is bad, it's how it's used." Jormungandr said with a smile as it seemed her was starting to calm down. He was very intelligent, but he still had the emotional maturity of a toddler at points.

"Embedding your Seven Moons into a knife and then throwing it? I...don't understand the point of that. Why not just shoot it normally?"

Actually if I thought about it, in theory it was probably a pretty good move if you could throw hard enough, and I know George has a pretty strong arm. But it did make the whole thing easier to avoid for a wary target. He'd to be careful and catch any prey by surprise. If he could, it would be a good method to hunt - deliver a devastating, fatal strike to a small portion of the body while minimizing damage to the rest of the body. Maybe he could use it to catch me a shark or something to cook up.

"Blessings is it? Yeah, I can see that from her. She believes in power as a neutral force, given definition by action. Personally I try not to think about morality from a philosophical standpoint. It just hurts my head. Authors on the subject have argued back and forth for as far back as your library can trace, and will probably keep at it for your entire life and then some. You would think discovering forces - and entire planes of existence - of objective good and evil, and learning how to detect those energies, would have made the argument a whole lot simpler. But it didn't. It reeeeally really didn't at all."

I thought about that concept for a bit, mulling it over. There was something I was a little curious about. "You think any water plants have planar associations? Alignment, elemental, or something else entirely? You'll sometimes see that kind of thing near portals. Dont go through them though. Portals are horrible, horrible things that always lead to the absolute worst places. Also teleportation sickness suuuuucks. I hate teleporting..."

Effect: User can conceal their weapon for an extended period of time while giving it additional damage.

Description: Range of this technique is touch. Duration of this technique is 5 minutes per Class Level. Target is 1 weapon. User is able to create a distortion in the air around their weapon, concealing it from sight. This is an advanced version of Air Current Weapon Concealment and does not have charges. The weapon does not become visible until the Duration of the technique runs out. The target must succeed on an Observation check vs. Stealth check. The weapon gains a +100 to Stealth, even if the target can See Chakra or See Through Chakra. If failed the target will see a blur. Discharging is a free-movement. This technique improves weapon damage giving an Enchantment bonus to Weapon Damage by 6 Armour Points per Class Level. User may sacrifice 6 Armour Points of damage to extend the Wind around the user, giving the user a +1 Class Point for the purpose of overcoming Improved Uncanny Dodge.
Limit: Must know Wind Release. Must know Air Current Weapon Concealment.

Jormrungandr smirked when he heard Miku's question about his daggers. She really wasn't a combatant was she, but she had all that power. How odd,

"Shooting them normally, the target can see it. However..."

Jormungandr reached into this Cloak and pulled out two more daggers, then with a smile on his face he made a subtle hand motion with his left hand. The wind current began to kick up around one of the dagger, and then it vanished from sight. Jormongandr then began to juggle the three daggers one of which was no longer visible. His hand started to glow as he infect the power of the chakra missiles into the dagger.

He then made a throwing motion off to his right as the invisible dagger exploded into the ground near them. After the weapon seemed to have unleashed a devastating amount of damage, the invisible weapon, floated back to his hand. He continued to juggle the weapons in his hand with the most deadly of the daggers that was now infused with the power of 7 more chakra missiles, on top of the power that the spell that Jormungandr had used laced on top of it.

"But if the enemy can't see it... well that's even more deadly. The most dangerous knife is the one you can't see. And when that knife has the power to blow up a mountain side... well. This is a spell my mother uses often to conceal the visuals or entire presences of her weapons. I've been watching her for some time, and Finally have been even some inspiration to try it myself."

Jormungandr said as his juggling came to an end. The spell that he had placed on the dagger had ended prematurely. He grunted a bit. It seemed much easier when his mother did it.

"I'm not sure... if you'd really want to know you'd have to ask my Grandmother. She's apparently been to all the realms, multiple times. According to her Familiar she'd go on walks through them from time to time, that can last up to 50 years or more. I'd like to go with her on one of those walks if possible."

"Okay that's really cool and all but how are you doing that? If you drop that thing you could really hurt yourself. Or me! I don't mean the making it invisible part, I've watched her do that a million times, I mean the juggling part. She doesn't juggle! How can you tell where it's gonna be?"

At this point, I'm pretty sure he was just showing off to impress me. But damn if it wasn't working. So I wasn't going to complain. At least until he intentionally blew up a knife at my feet! I yipped reflexively in surprise.

"Don't DO that, George. You scared me half to death!"

He made up for it with another bit of interesting trivia though. The family matriarch could literally planeswalk. By walking. No portals needed. Kind of interesting, even if I wasn't really able to wrap my head around it. "That does sound like an interesting trip. Fifty years is a lot by human standards though. By the time she gets back she could be looking at a whole nee world! Although, maybe that's the entire point. But any plants and animals on the delicate side like those crystal plants Loki wants could end up going extinct. Doesnt seem good for business.

"I think we should set up some kind of controlled environment, like a zoo, where we can take at-risk life forms, especially if they're valuable, and give them a place to thrive safely. So that we can harvest them as needed of course. I think we should be just about there now..."

"How am I doing what? Oh.. I mean if you toss it right, there's only way place it'll go, and that's were I want it." Jormrungandr said with a shrug as he stopped juggling his dangerous weaponry at Miku's request. However, he did toss the daggers into the air and let them float around her him. As they did her played closed attention to the one that was invisible. He couldn't see it, but with his connection to the weapon, it was easy enough to feel where it was.

Not only that, let hie hand rub across the surface of another one of his weapons. As he did so the wind began to pick up around the dagger and soon that weapon disappeared from view as well. Jormunrgandr looked at the blade, or at least look at where the blade use to be and smiled to himself. He was rather proud of what he did, but still felt that it was a bit off, a bit to weak.

She waved his hand and then wind that was surrounding the two blade disappeared showing the 3 blades once again. He called them to his hand, as he began to fiddle around with the blades once again only this time he did not make the action to juggle them or throw them at Miku's request. He then looked over at her and smiled,

"There's plenty of places in the Hallows where you can set something like that up in the witch District. It's the biggest District in the city, but also the least populated, there's tons of space there to try that." Jormungandr then had serious look on his face when she talked about his grandmother's long trips.

"Hmmm, it seems after Human's betrayed the first Coven... she gave up on people for the most part. She stays around to make sure things are on the up and up. But know that my mother, has come into her power, with no signs of slowing down. I believe that once me and my younger siblings are fully matured, and can fend for ourselves, that she'll go on another walk, leaving things in my Mother's hands completely. Other than worrying about us, I don't think there's much keeping her here."

Now that we were at the shore, I figured it would help to poke around while relaxing and see if maybe I couldn't find some of that pretty flower Loki wanted. Since George was confident he could harvest it safely, I'd just let him know if I happened to spot any instead of risking destroying it myself. It liked hot springs, which seemed counter intuitive since it could only be found in coastal areas, but maybe I'd be able to find one here anyway. After all there were plenty of volcanoes. I'd definitely need to bathe in it if I did find a hot spring.

In order to help locate the proper conditions, I decided to follow George's advice from earlier that Judgment could help in mundane tasks and tried to call upon it to enhance my intuition. I don't actually know if it really works that way of course, but even if it doesn't just acclimating more to the power and attempting to put it to a wider array of uses should, theoretically, allow for me to grow its overall power.

I followed where I felt my judgment might be leading me. Which coincidentally was also just following George around. Was he doing the same thing as I was? Was it working? I didn't want to ask, being wrong would be embarrassing.

"I think I'll do that. Not right now, we have other things to worry about, but on my next visit I'll hire on a few hands or something and try to set something up. It'll be fun, I never did really explore the place. In the meantime, if I spot anything promising I'll be counting on you to actually pick it. I can dry most things out pretty well over a small fire. It's not that different from cooking."

Jormungandr nodded his head at Miku when she seemed to have make a plan for the two of them. She was very energetic, even though she was mostly out of magic at the moment. He was starting to see why his mother wanted her to be the Fire corner, she seemed to be very out going and friendly, which he found a bit odd. From the sounds of what she said, she seemed to have spent most of her time here alone. Talking to something that didn't seem all that interested in talking back.

As Jormungandr thought about this, the daggers that were floating around him, cam to sudden stop. He reached out and grabbed one of them. As he held it in his hand he gently began to move the wind in the area around it. He was very sudden with his actions earlier. This was largely because he had seen his mother do this several times before. Because of that He rushed it, thinking that her knew exactly what he needed to to.

However, after performing the technique he understood, that there was something that he was missing. His wasn't as powerful as his mothers. It not only made the weapon invisible through the use of wind currents, but it added power to the attack. He stared down at the dagger in his hand as the wind continued to roll around the dagger. It wasn't lone before the dagger turned invisible. After the dagger vanished he looked out towards the sea.

"How do you stay so... happy and hopeful all the time Miku." Jormungandr seemed to ask out of nowhere. But the thought had been on his mind for some time.

No luck on the flower. Maybe my Judgment wasn't refined enough yet. I tried to keep my attention on improving it little by little, although it was to the detriment of observing George beyond vaguely keeping pace with him. I was trying to direct most of the energy to my eyes, nose, and ears, but legitimately wasn't even sure if that was an actual thing that would even work at all or not. My brow twisted in a mix of deep thought, confusion, and concentration.

Being addressed directly briefly snapped me back to reality though. George had a question. I didn't quite know what he meant though. The parameters for answering were really unclear.

"I don't get it. Should I not be happy for some reason?"

Maybe if he could clarify I'd be able to give a better answer. So I needed to make sure to pay attention to him, while still trying to improve my abilities at the same time. If I could sharpen my senses enough to find this flower for Loki, then maybe I could finally start returning the favor for everything she's done for me already. Also I just kind of wanted to see it for myself. It sounded like it would be really pretty. It would be less so once plucked and dried, but whatever.

I was actually pretty tired now though, so I figured I'd grab a spot near the water and just relax. "Okay resting time now. If you wanna get stronger, rest is important too. And eating. Good food is fuel for both the body AND the soul! You know how to catch fish at all?"

Even while resting my body, I was still able to tune my Spirit Origin Core just fine, so I could keep experimenting with the powers of a Venator. Given my natural affinity for heat, I was intrigued by the idea of Hellfire, but also a little concerned. It sounded a bit grim to me.

"Well I mean. From what you've said, you seemed to have been alone a lot. With just something that wouldn't talk back to you, to talk to. I've never really been alone much since I was born, but the few times I am I feel lonely." Jormungandr said as the winds that she was producing around her weapons, picked up a bit as it became more powerful than before. However even though it became more powerful it didn't become more noticeable. He let the magic fade away and revealed the weapon underneath.

"So, I mean... you must have been really lonely, but you don't seem to be sad. Even when you were talking about how you didn't remember anything before, it sounded like you were more annoyed than upset or sad. I... just don't understand."

Jormungandr was had the emotional maturity of a child of 3, with all the knowledge of the universe fumbling around in his head. That factual knowledge didn't allow him to peak to closely into the the emotional realm of human or other beings, so even if she fully explained it to him, he might not full understand. He shrugged his shoulders and let the wind build up in his palms.

"Yeah, I know what rejection feels like. Humans can be xenophobic, and irrational, and scary. There were times when I was lonely. But it's not like that's my entire life. How do you think I managed to study so much modern magecraft?

"There were good times too. Although I always had to hide my nature, and when I got found out it always turned bad so that's kinda sad. But still, I'm alive. The world, and the people in it are so interesting and fun, and now I have all of you guys too so I won't be lonely anymore. What do I have to be unhappy about? I mean, yeah, I wish I could get all these fragments in my head to form some kind of complete picture, but that's just because I'm curious. Even if I never know why I have these memories or what they're supposed to mean, that's fine too.

"Besides, having some time to yourself is good once in a while. That's why I keep my little campsite near the Tree, so I can look at it and think. The big guy really puts things in perspective. And every once is a while Nidhoggr will pass by, and I'll try to start a conversation, and he'll ignore the fact that I even exist like always. It's a routine now."

Hopefully that would make sense to the kid. Meanwhile I was thinking about whether I could use the power of Judgment to secure us some food. After using up.so much Prana earlier, and then going on that long hike, I was really really hungry. It had been long enough to recover a bit at least, so maybe I could use a spell. I could make fruit with my nature magecraft, but i wanted meat. Or fish, which was basically meat anyway. I don't know why they're considered different things.

I stood, and charged up a big shot. Not on the level of my Eight Hands Scorching Ray, just enough to where using up the energy wouldn't be too big of a burden. Judgment flowed forth, mixing with my Mana and dramatically increasing its output. The little ball in my hand may as well have been a miniature sun.

And then I launched it right into the ocean, a dozen meters out or so. The heat boiled away some of the water in a huge cloud of steam, but I was looking to determine if any fish were boiled to death in the process. They would float to the surface, cooked to perfection if I did it right, though I wouldnt be able to tell until the fog dispersed.

Jormungandr just looked at Miku for a while without saying anything. He just listened to her as she spoke. He looked down into his hand and then let the magic in the area build on his palm. That magic was in it's purest form, and ever since Jormungandr had master The 7 seven moons, he began to have a much deeper understand about chakra in general. He understood that pure magic was need to manipulate the elements.

However, the more he got to learn about the chakra missiles, and soon after that working with the wind element, he began to under stand something that was probably simple to think about but was difficult to understand. Her looked into the energies that were floating above his palm, but he did not come to the realization immediately, but he knew there was something there that he could grip.

"I guess... I still don't completely get it. All I know is that when I look at you it's like staring into a bright light. It's a warm feeling." Jormungandr said as he looked down at himself and then into the palm of his hand. He always felt himself to be a bit cold, even when he didn't mean to be. Some have even gone as far as to call him dour. He was really asking to figure out how he could try to improve himself. He looked at the middle of his palm at the magic and then closed his fist,

"Never mind. Maybe I'm just too different from you to really understand.

"Konkon..." I cursed quietly, a bit disappointed. In the first place, it didn't seem like I was able to help Georgie-boy with whatever was bothering him. On top of that, I still didn't have any lunch. I was gonna starve to death at this rate. I just boiled away probably three cubic meters of ocean, probably more, and I managed not to kill one single damned fish. Outrageous!

Then again, this was the land at the center of all the world's myths. It might be that the creatures of the sea were every bit as stubborn and tough as the ones on land or in the sky. Ugh, but that made eating such a hassle!

"It's not a matter of age or species kiddo. Ya just gotta find the things you enjoy, and and then do it. I like meeting new people and seeing new places, and this country always has some new surprise up its proverbial sleeves, so it's easy to keep myself busy. You're a smart kid and all, but you ARE still a kid. Figuring this sort of thing out is something you have to dofor yourself, and it's not gonna be fast. If I could give a hint though, I think it looked like you were pretty happy while we were playing. I think you need more friends closer to your own power and wit. And uh, size. Maybe try some of the Dragon Clan kids?"

I wanted to scorch another chunk of water off, and this time maybe catch a blasted fish. So I built up a mana charge and infused it with judgment again, but This time I added about four times the output of the first. Three missiles, each with power equal to a rank S heat magecraft, striking the water simultaneously while aimed in a strategic formation to trap any fish within the echoes of multiple shots. With no escape route, they would boil.

All the extra water vapor in the air was starting to collect, and the sky had become overcast. I think I might have moved up the schedule for the next rainstorm a bit. Oh well, it still wasn't as bad as George magically creating a literal blizzard in the dead of summer!
