Waiting for the ship--Open

[Makato "RockStar"]

As Makato reached the docks to Port Porthos he noticed that the ship had not arrived yet. "Am I late.." he said to himself worried that he might have missed the ship. He looked down at the letter again to see if there was a time or date. Nothing. Makato came worried pacing back and forth. "Maybe I'm not late...maybe I'm just to early." he said to himself. He stopped pacing and and looked out into the sea. "Ok I guess there is nothing else to do but to just wait and see." he said to himself as he sat down on the edge of the docks. His feet hanging his rested his elbows on his legs and his head on his hands as he looked out into the see waiting for the ship to arrive.

"So this is the Port of Porthos?" were the first words uttered from Azrael's mouth as he'd glance around the port for any signs of the ship. Though his observations saw no signs of any ship having been docked here for that event. His brown eyes glazed the water's surface as the day sky presented itself to himself. With a soft sigh he'd identify a single person sitting on the edge of the docks. Maybe he knows if and when the boat will be here... he thought to himself. Taking a short breath in he'd prepare to go into his "over-confident" facade of a character. Standing at the opposite end of the dock he'd begin a slow walk down the pathway, each step creaking ever so slightly as the waves slowly brushed against the land in a soothing pattern. Stopping ten feet away from the individual he'd ask in a calm yet confident tone "Ey, would you happen to know if and when the boat to the Ninja Island event will arrive?" The person before him, without seeing his face seemed to be middle-aged like Azrael and looked as though wasn't a very strong individual physically. Azrael on the other hand thought nothing of his stunning burn around his left eye or his oddly constructed blue clothing; although Azrael didn't look like the strongest physically either.

Matto walked quietly through the port town, nearly getting lost in several places. It was so different than where he came from. But, it was just another city. Eventually finding the main road again, Matto looked for a sign with some directions. "Where's the dock...?" Matto asked audibly, a small sign catching his attention.

Of course... the one way I didn't go... Matto thought to himself, walking quietly down the street towards the dock. The dock was a sight to see. The small bay area was impressive to see, but what caught his attention were the two people at the end of the dock. Was he late for the ship? He couldn't be, not when they were still here. He was probably just a bit early.

Approaching the end of the dock, Matto sat down on the edge several meters from the others. He'd wait and listen to see if they were indeed coming to Ninja Island. He didn't give too much of a glance to them, afraid to draw too much attention to himself.

Makato was still looking out into the sea until he heard someone approach him. Without turning his head he glanced his eyes towards the approcher's direction. The man stood a little bit under 6 feet and had brown hair. One feature that caught his attention was the burned scar on his left eye. When he stopped walking towards Makato he uttered a question. Makato himself didn't know when the boat will arrive and was actually worried that he missed the boat, but seeing that someone else gathered here looking for the boat as well made him feel a little bit easy. "No the letter don't say when...it just say come here and wait." he answered looking back off into the distance.

A few minutes later another man showed up and sat down a few meters away from them. Makato didn't pay him much attention being that he didn't approch him however Makato didn't let his guard down. He had no way of identifying them since they had to leave all their equipment at home. He didn't know what they was capable of but that didn't stop Makato from trying to at least make friends with the two.

"No the letter don't say when...it just say come here and wait." replied Makato, with relief he'd sigh glancing back at the individual who came near yet sat a few meters away. Heh... He seems a little inattentive not be listening he thought to himself placing his left hand in his pocket. "So you're here for the event as well?" he called out in the direction of Matto walking towards the individual as he'd turn his head back towards Makato and say "Well... if you see a ship approach... let me know, also... If you want to talk you can follow me other there to talk to that guy." he said. Making his way towards Matto he'd ask "Would you happen to know when the ship will be here?" he'd ask seeing this person to be around the same height and age of the other individual. Heh, I guess their not brinig children on this trip, good... he thought to himself.

Timidly would the Zassou walk upon the docks, his vines having long receded within his body. The holes upon his shoulders and hands hidden, he would reach up to move his hair over his forehead. Covering the hole upon his forehead now, he would smile as he spotted three other people upon the dock. Walking up, he would feel a slight sense of shyness, and he would find a crate to sit upon. Sitting only a few meters from the group, he would eye them cautiously, seeming to have forgotten the fact that he was green-skinned. He just wanted to try and not attract attention.

Well nice try.

Matto, at the sound of someone speaking to him, turned his head. The person who was approaching him had a scar burned into their face, near their eye. Other than that, they were just as plain as the day was long.

"I'm not sure as to when the boat arrives." Matto spoke, his voice a small meak one in comparison to the older male that now approached him. "I just arrived as soon as I could so as not to be late." So, no one was breaking the rules about identifying themselves as far as villages went. No weapons, no identification, other than the ID they might be carrying from their village.

Matto stood up and looked at the other person on the dock. He hadn't really given much attention to their appearance. The other person was wearing more noticeable clothing, but obviously no more than his own. White shirt, blue bandages... They all looked to be near the same age, so the competition might be fair. It would all hopefully play out fairly.

Ah, is this it?

Seion had been walking along, not sure of the way to which he should go to Port Porthos. The invitation that he had recieved had not been very specific. But as he looked out into the harbor, he could see a small group of people there already. He smiled as he started to walk in their direction, though he remarked that there was no boat there at the moment. But with all the people there, it seemed that he had not been late. Seion could give a breath of relief as he could tell that he had not gotten himself lost after all. A closer look told him that they had all been instructed the same as he had been. No weapons and no headbands were allowed. Seion had been pleasantly surprised when he had first heard this. It seemed that he would be able to get a good kick out of this event. After a few minutes, he was standing on the port, near the others and just catching the words of the last person who had spoke. So nobody knew when the boat would be here. The only thing that Seion could do not was wait. He leaned against a wooden pillar and looked off into the sea in a dazed off manner, feeling the ocean breeze against him. He murmured a few words, to himself or to someone else, he did not know.

"Hope we will not have to wait too long."

Makato got up and began to walk with the warrior with the scar towards the other person that was sitting a few meters away from him. "Nothing else to do.." he said as he walked with him. "The names Makato" he introduced himself as they reached Matto. It seems that Matto also didn't know when the ship would arrive. A few minutes later others began to appear. Now Makato was sure that he didn't miss the ship and felt relief. It took a close look at the others. One had green skin which kinda creep him out. The other had silver hair and began to talk.

"Yea well at least we know that we haven't missed the boat. If this many people is gathering here." he responded to the silver haired boy. He looked young yet he was about as tall as Makato was. Ok... he thought to himself dumbfounded. The one with the green skin he couldn't even tell how old he was, but it was only his appearance. I bet he's not as bad as he looked. his mind wondered.

"For an epic event... we sure are waiting long..."

The amount of people alarmed Azrael slightly, though in a mixing of emotions. While the sign of this many people arriving was good, revealing they hadn’t missed the boat, it was a little uncomfortable being around this many people who could easily be strong and/or from around the world. With scenarios running on throughout his head, he didn’t let his guard down for a moment, as well as his façade. As they both spoke he noticed their dialect and the way they spoke, it was interesting to see how different people were. Heh, diverse pair of people he thought to himself glancing around momentarily at the two new arrivals. The appearance of the green-skinned individual didn’t seem to shock him at all; after all in his line of work he’s seen things much more ‘unappealing’ to the eyes. “Yea well at least we know that we haven't missed the boat. If this many people is gathering here.” said Makato while Azrael seemed to be looking around for more individuals. “Yeah, seems like a safe assumption…” though in-thinking he realized he was rude “Oh, by the way… The names Kazuki, maybe you’ve heard of me?” he said in a confident tone, he had to maintain this over-confident personality, his name was not famous, in fact it was made up.

Turning to the other individuals he’d call out “Ey, I’m hungry… I saw a restaurant near the dock. Anyone care to join me? It looks like a ramen place…” he said pointing in the direction of a shop which had a clear view of the shore, giving the shinobi ample time to make it to the docks should they need to. It was an open invitation to get to understand his friends and or foes. Though he’d already made his own assumptions about the people around him, a conjecture if you will; Heh, I ran here as fast as I could non-stop… I didn’t get sleep yet. These people seemed to have gotten here in order of distance. Judging by their appearance I can assume that Makato is from a country very close as well as Matto… and so on as so forth. Green is generally a sign for ‘environment’ or icky green goo he thought to himself imagining it as he’d giggle eternally. Although these conjecture were accurate he’d let the unsettled thought pass by, even if they weren’t to join him didn’t matter as he’d turn to walk towards the rectangle ramen shop. The shop had light green walls with a flat rooftop, with apparently ash fault on top to shield it from the sun. This ramen shop was older than others with a sliding door.

Making his way into the well lit shop he’d close his eyes and take in the excellent aroma of ramen mixing with pork and other meat products. The place was a little larger than regular shops, apparently supporting sailors and other shipyard workers. With booths and tables, there would be plenty of room for others to sit, should they wish to. Approaching the cook which looked to be an elderly man he’d be perceived with a smile. “Hello sir, what would you like?” asked the cook who was apparently a one man show. “Um… A pork ramen… Add crackers too please” he said as the man took his order on a small pad. “Your order will be right up…” said the cook as he’d look over Azrael’s shoulder for the next customer, Azrael paid no attention as he’d take a seat at a large booth and await his order, glancing out the window every now and then to make sure the boat didn't arrive.

Kana arrived at the dock looking about unsurely as Athena soared overhead. She noticed immedeatly she was the only female present and couldn't help but wonder if it would stay that way. "Ohayo," she said softly as she looked over the group once more. A hand rose to brush through her silvery locks. She wasn't a 'group and gathering' person. Being around this many people was rather unsettling, she didn't quite know how to react. "Are you all here for Ninja Island?"

So many things were going on around Matto that the voices and actions were beginning to blur. He'd never been claustrophobic before, but he'd also never been around this many people in his lifetime. Everyone's appearance was beginning to blur and focus at the same time, creating an almost nauseous feeling in his stomach. It could very well just be anxiety, but it was already obvious that he needed to get out of the group. Azrael, as he'd introduced himself, said the most saving thing he'd heard out of the last few minutes. "Ramen sounds good..." Matto said, swooning slightly as he moved out of the group. Once free of the tangle of the group, his stomach returned back to normal, allowing the thought of food to not nauseate him as bad as it was before.

Following quietly behind Azrael, Matto approached the cook as Azrael took a seat. "Chicken ramen, no extras." Matto said, the cook obliging with a smile as he jotted down the order. Turning to see where Azrael sat, Matto approached Azrael. "Do you mind if I sit here?" Matto asked out of courtesy. He'd need to get used to talking to people, and the best way was to approach them. Shy or not, scared or not, he was about to take part in an event that would require social interaction. Better to start now than never.

"Kazuki uh.." Makato replied at his introduction. Makato was great at making friends however there was something in the back of his head saying that he was lying about his name and that he didn't trust Makato for some reason. Whatever it was he didn't allow it to bother him. A few minutes later a female showed up and asked about ninja island. "Yea...we're waiting on the ship." he answered her question.

He then noticed Kuzuki and Matto going to a nearby ramen shop. His stomach growled a little. "Guess it wouldn't hurt to get something to eat." he said to himself. He then turned to the female. "My names Makato....care to join me in a bite to eat?" he asked with a friendly smile on his face.

It seemed Azrael had received a positive response from the other people in which he'd spoken to. Already taking his seat he glanced up to see Matto standing there "Do you mind if I sit here?" he asked, siting back in seat he'd say with a small smirk and a light chuckle "Of course, I don't mind... It'd be rude to invite you to come and not let you sit at my table..." he said. Sound would resume in the kitchen as the aroma grew stronger, his stomach growled softly as a women from the back area appeared and approached their table. She was a middle-aged women that looked exhausted from a days work "Would you like anything to drink?" she asked. "Erm... Water with lemon" Azrael said having thought a moment as eyes went on Matto for a response. After writing down what both Azrael and Matto had wanted she'd walk off to make the drinks. "So Matto... A little overwhelming out there right?" Azrael said to kick off the conversation.

A little while before reaching the docks where the gathering of people was, Tsuraiki landed and retracted his wings. He did so in a manner so no one would see him do so. He then continued forward and eventually reached everyone else. He noticed the gathering of people brought all sorts of different people. One girl had asked a question. It was asking if they were here for Ninja Island.

Walking up to her, Orion resting upon his shoulder, Tsuraiki said "Well I dont know about the others. I know I am, however." He then waited for her response. He didnt want to say too much to someone who could become a competitor. He only hoped that the ship would come soon.

And then it was announced that the show would be cancelled due to some technicality she did not understand. "I'm sorry, I should leave," she said unsurely and vanished back into the land of fang, ready to go home.
