Across the street from the Music Store was exactly what Genju wanted, a 24-hour clinic. He strolled in, his appearance one of tattered clothes and injuries.
The white room held a few simple seats and a reception desk with an aged female nurse looking exhausted behind the door. No one else seemed to be present as he entered. With graceful steps, Genju looked awful but nonetheless went up to the lady, asking "Is there a doctor available?"
The woman took one look at Genju, turned around and shouted, "Got a patient Richard"
An old man whose eyes betrayed the many struggles he had suffered in life came out from a back door. Signaling for Genju to follow, he retreated the way he came.
Through the door was a hallway lined with doors numbered 1-4. The man lead Genju to door Number 2. Inside a bed and numerous medical instruments rested. "Looks like you've seen some battle." Genju nodded. "I know not to pry," he said with a wink. "Now let's see what I can do for you."
The man unraveled his bandages around the shoulder only to wince. Genju caught the moment. "Is it that bad?"
"Nothing I can't treat. Just lie on your stomach and close your eyes." Genju complied, feeling water run down his back. It took all his effort not to scream from the stinging pain. He could not see what the doctor was doing, but his insides felt better though a new type of pain took over. Blacking out, Genju didn't remember anything else.
When Genju came to, he felt a lot better though he still had some pain. "I redid your bandages with proper bandages. There was no long term damage though I suggest you avoid excessive movement for a while. Try and get some rest as well." Handing him some pain killers, he dismissed him.
As the doctor saw him out, Genju turned and said, "Were you formally a medical nin?" Ordinary medicine would not be able to heal him so quickly.
"That's my secret," he said, smiling. As Genju left the building, the man whispered, "Good luck Yuki nin."
