JOURNEY TO THE CITY HIDDEN IN THE CLOUDS
“Reach for the heavens Roy!”
After leaving the village once again, Roy heads towards the north in order to obtain something of value that his mother can be proud of and finally forgive him for leaving in the first place. He stops running once he reaches the rice fields, he could keep running and reach cloud within a one day. But he rather enjoys his quiet little walk through his homeland and absorb in the sights. As he walked through the rice fields his child slowly started to stir and awake from her slumber. He took this time to finally place the child upon his back once again where she would be save in the kangaroo pouch he had on his back. As he walked through the rice field, they watched the red sun spread out from across the rice field turning everything almost crimson. “Eh! This isn’t a Journey….This is me just walking! You lied to me Chapter title!” He shouted as he pointed to the sky, grumbling as he walked out of the fields and into the woods that will lead his way to cloud.
“Well little one what do you think about the hospital?” As he mention the word ‘hospital’ the child started to weep a bit as she started to whimper a bit at the though of being given shots again. “Haha~ there, there, you won’t have to get another one for a while. Personally I hate those darn things.” Her tears quickly dried up as she gazed around at the world on the back of Roy. He walked through a beaten pathway in the woods, he was quite familiar with this area from his childhood years. When he was around ten, he would run through the rice fields and into the woods scream he is the greatest. He would have still kept doing it, but he ran into a funny looking mushroom and ate it. It caused him to hallucinate making him believe he was on fire. He then ripped his cloths off and ran though the fields naked, where he stumbled upon his Kenma taking his mother out for a stroll to get away from the hospital for a while. He then jumped out the fields in front of them screaming his head off, “I’m on fire! Put me out and bake the toast because I am on fire! Oh Lordy!” He then ran passed them into the city, the guards and Kenma were able to catch before entering the village but he fought them each step away the way proclaiming them to the be the mushroom kingdom guards that want to eat him to gain the strength of Captain Georgia.
As Roy walked through the woods, he couldn’t help but to remember all the good times he had out here. “You know, when you’re older. I’m going to teach how to fight, and you can have wonderful adventures just like me. Just watch out for the snakes in the fields because they are big.” He was recalling to a time he was training in the fields by himself, and snake decided to attack him in hopes to get an easy meal. Unfortunately the snake didn’t know Roy was a ninja, also unfortunate for Roy too he didn’t realize that the snake was that of a gigantic. Roy had to engage in a epic fight against the beast, but in the end he prevailed against the creature and obtained new skills from fighting it. “Huh, I think I might hire bodyguards to protect you know. Big, BIG! Body guards.”
As Roy walked down the beaten path he stopped in his tracks and looked back at the village, “I just remembered. I forgot to tell mom about you baby.” A cold sweet rolled down Roy’s forehead as he thought about what’s going to happen now. “Man she is going to make me want to steal all the kages hats for not telling her I have a kid.”
“You have a kid!?” A voice cried out from behind roy. “Well I like to think she is my child, either that I am a kidnapper who stole her from a bear but that is just….wait a minute!” Roy quickly turned around to find out who was the one talking to him just now. To his surprise it was someone he least excepted. “Pizza Guy!” He cried out. The person standing before Roy was a man who resembles that of a torn prince, he was physically appealing to the eyes but behind his beauty he had hidden scares. His eyes told most of the story; just looking in to them they were eyes of a tired man. “It’s been a while Roy.”
Roy turned back around and continued walking towards his destination, “I know.” The man followed him as he continued onwards towards cloud. “Did my mother send you Kenma?” The man chuckled a bit as Roy hit the nail on the head. Kenma was Roy’s Sensei after his father passed away and his mother became too ill to train him herself. The man stayed silent as he followed Roy for a while, after looking at his back he couldn’t help notice something was wrong. Speeding up he started to walk along side Roy where he then noticed the child poached up upon his back.
“Hah! You weren’t kidding you do actually have a child!” The man cried out as he gazed at the little girl who was looking right back at him with a smile upon her face. “And she as cute as a button too.” The child laughed as Kenma started to make faces at her to make her laugh. He started to take notice that the child didn’t look like Roy. She had blond curly hair, blue eyes and white skin. Where Roy had white hair and eyes and was tan. “Looks like she took after her mother more then anything, that a relief.” Roy stopped in his tracks and stared at Kenma with a ‘what the fuc-‘ look upon his face. “Sorry, I couldn’t help but to notice she doesn’t look like you.”
“That’s because she is not mine.” With that said he continued walking on once again leaving Kenma in his tracks as he thinks about what he just said to him.
“Wait if she is not yours then what are you doing with her?” Catching up to him he looked at him with a concern look upon his face, “I’m sorry to say this Roy, but do you think you can actually take care of a child?” Roy looked at him once again and shook his head as he started to pick up his pace and walk faster to get away from Kenma’s questions. “Roy! Do you actually think you can protect her with the line of work you do?”
“Yes!” Roy shouted as he turned back around towards Kenma, getting into his former sensai’s face. “Yes, I think I can protect her from anything that comes my way.” He then started to walk away leaving Kenma in the dust, but before he could even escape the though of what he said Kenma spoke out once again.
“You think you can protect her from Rook?” With that Roy stopped in his tracks and looked back at Kenma with fear in his eyes, “I though so…” Kenma said as he started to catch up with him, “How do you know Rook won’t kill her?” Roy stood quiet as Kenma approached him.
“I don’t know.” As soon as he caught up with him, he started to walk again along side with Kenma. “To tell you the truth, I’m afraid of him hurting her when she gets older. But…” He looked at the ground and clasped on to the locket around his neck, “Rook loves my mother, and would do anything to save her like me. So I was thinking if he got to know the girl he would protect her too like our mother.” Kenma nodded his head as he made a very good point. No matter how evil Rook claims himself to be. He could never bring himself to harm Celeste. Kenma seem to slowly feel at ease, if Rook can care for his mother there might be a chance he could care for this child. “You know you’re not the first person to try to take this child away from me.”
“Really?” he asked as he looked at him as they made there ways deep through the woods, “Who else tried to take the child?”
“The new Otokage.” Roy said as he started to skip along the trail, “Tried to take it away when I went to go kill him.”
Kenma stopped in his tracks and his face turned completely white. He looked at Roy as if he saw a ghost, “Your kidding right?” Roy simply shrugged his shoulders and continued walking, “Oh don’t tell me you killed him Roy!” Kenma ran after Roy calling out to him.
“Easy old man, I didn’t harm him.” He said as he looked at Kenma starting to panic, “I just had a conversation with him and decided to come back to the village as a ninja again. I also stole/borrowed the ANBU techs too.” The child started to laugh as Roy once again pulled out the Bear, Wolf, and Frog scrolls and started to juggle them in his hands as he continued walking.
Kenma shook his head as he look at him slowly wobbling around as he juggled the scrolls in his hands, “You are three kind of crazies. You know that?” He started to walk along side him again and looked at him with a suspicious look, “Man, I’m afraid to ask you where you even got the child from.” Roy smiled and a laughed a bit.
“In the woods and fought a bear.” Kenma looked at him funny and muttered bear under his breath, “Yup, Dire Bear” Kenma shook his head and started to walk away from Roy. “What!? What I do?” Roy cried out as Kenma walked away from him, “Buddy…I love you!”
