Sitting in the building, Fiori wondered how the storm was going. He couldn’t see or hear anything from the outside, but maybe there was a way. He’d have to test it first though; good thing that sand had been blown in by the storm before he got the door shut.
Reaching into his physical and spiritual energy reserves, he drew a small portion of the power out and mixed them together to create his chakras. He channelled the chakra into a nearby pile of sand, infusing the sand grains with energy. Once the grains were fully bonded to his chakras, Fiori used his powers to make a small cloud of sand float over to him. He made the cloud hover above his hand, then he began to shape and condense the sand into a small ball, stopping when the ball appeared the same as an eye, albeit the colour of sand. Once that was done, Fiori placed one hand over his eye and used his chakras to make a line of sand that connected to his retina without damaging his eye. He connected the line to the floating eye above his hand, and then was amazed at what happened. Once the line was connected to the sand eye and his real eye, he began to see from the sand eye as if it was real. Using his chakras, the mercenary moved the eye around the room, stretching the line with it; he could see every part of the room, only in monocular vision though, without moving or twisting his head. But Fiori made a mistake at that point; he took his hand off of his eye with the sand line still connected. As a result, his brain was suddenly besieged by images, causing him to clap both hands over his eyes in pain, the jutsu cancelling on its own.
“Okay,” Fiori said once he recovered from the sudden influx of sensory information, “I can’t have both eyes open and use this technique. Nice to know,” he told himself sarcastically as he drew on his physical and spiritual energy and created chakra from the fusion of the two. Now, he sent his chakra out under the door, into the sand that had piled up from the storm. Once the sand was layered with chakra, Fiori created a sand line laced with the energy and connected it to his eye, covering it with one hand so he couldn’t use it to see. Then, on the other side of the door, he gathered a small amount of sand and condensed it into a ball the size of the average human eye. Then he connected the line to the small eye, and was granted the ability to see from the other side of the door. The mercenary was able to see that there was no more storm, and people were already out in the street, clearing away the sand. Fiori continued to swivel the eye around, taking in the fact that there were two thugs looking around for something. Too bad there wasn’t a jutsu that let him hear on the other side of the door as well. Oh well, you can’t have everything in life.
Fiori cancelled the jutsu and stood up, cracking various joints in his body before opening the door, letting more sand rush in. But he could still climb out; he would have to get back to the library before his client was there. But then, something happened that would put a real crimp on his day.
