Jutsu to be learned:
TP earned: 0/30
Aimi drudged his way through the tall grass native to this land, his hands down at his sides and a scowl under his brow. He was frustrated, so very frustrated. It had been days since he had last learned a jutsu, and that wasn't good. Just yesterday he had over heard a group of young genin, younger than himself, talk about a new fire jutsu they had learned. They were so much younger than he was. He felt like the whole world was leaving him behind, and he didn't want that. So he had gone to the Academy and picked up three jutsu for his usage, all of which he planned on learning within the remaining light of day. Two were lightning based ones, the third was a taijutsu slash ninjutsu that could prove very useful to him. He was not going to get left behind by a generation that had no ambition other than to be a ninja and do what they are told to do when they're told to do it, to conform so readily. What a bunch of sheep they were, but not him. He refused to follow the crowd like them and be someone he is designed to be. He wanted to be someone who was born, not made.
This is why he was so frustrated with having not learned a new jutsu in days. He as though he were failing himself for not doing so. So as he passed under the thin lining of trees, he raised his clinched fist and smashed it against the bark of the closest tree. Of course it hurt, of course it wasn't the smartest thing to do, but he was angry and a small amount of physical pain seemed just the sort of thing he deserved at that point in time for having been so lazy. Pulling his now hurt hand back, he make the hand signs that were required and brought forth his many sakurai petals.
One of the jutsu he had gathered earlier had to deal with the original sakurai jutsu, and as far as he could tell it was one of the last ones that proved actually useful to him. This jutsu, as it had been explained to him, would throw ten of the petals as projectiles towards any target at will and if struck would cause a temporary paralysis wherever it struck, and that could be very dangerous. If he aimed ten petals towards the arms and legs each, he could essentially prevent them from moving effectively for any given amount of time, and he had a lot of petals at his disposal.
The first thing to do was to practice on the distance the petals could move at. He had neglected to learn this originally, the petals had been kept pretty close to his chest since then. From what he had gathered, he could control the petals for a maximum of ten or fifteen meters. So, to practice his control over the distance of the petals, Aimi would use the last jutsu he had learned as a visual aid, as it was by far the most visible among his Sakurai jutsus. So focusing his chakra, Aimi closed his furrowed eyes and concentrated on pushing the petals as far away from his body as he could. For a good ten minutes he concentrated on this and this alone before opening his eyes, finding that the petals were much further away from him than before. The question was could he still control them? Raising up his hands, Aimi pumped chakra into the petals around him and gave his hands a quick and almost gentle flick and was mildly pleased to find that the petals still rotated around him at his whim, if only a bit slower than before. He could worry about the speed another time, for now he wanted to worry about the new jutsu, Sakurai Ran.
Raiton: Sakurai Ran, 雷光: 丹色 木 雷光 ラン, (Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning Run)
Rank: C
Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: The user creates paralyzing shots out of the Sakurai petals.
Special: “Hand Seals”
Drawback: Raiton: Sakurai must be active.
Description: The user forms the hand seals, focusing their chakra into the Sakurai petals around them. The user then releases the lightning chakra into the Sakurai petals, suspending them in the air in front of them. The user then catapults about ten petals forward with incredible speed, about that of a senbon. When impacting a target, these petals each cause shocking and paralysis that results in paralysis in the immediate afflicted area for two rounds.
Limit: Must have Raiton. Must know Raiton: Sakurai.
