I poked the orb that shimmered in front of my visage and it popped, almost as if it were a pale blue soap bubble floating in the air. The woman addressed my request for aid in the distraction department with her own rather comical suggestion. I was really quite lucky I had begun to weave the power through my body and start shaping it just moments before as well. At the mere suggestion of her zapping me with ninjutsu I burst out laughing, the flowing energy wavering. This was the ultimate distraction and I fought through my laughter and the hilarity of it all to continue forming the sphere in my mind.
Wiping tears from my eyes as the shape's edges began to sharpen I would suppress the fit and try to respond. "Y... You think... A ninjutsu dunce like you wh-wh-who doesn't even know her own Yondaime... Can zap me with Ninjutsu?" I let out one final cackle of laughter, the form wavering in my mind, before I could suppress it at last. The distraction had paid off and I realized how much better I had gotten when the shaping of the orb had not been overly affected by her jest. Still, he had far too much work to do in perfecting the technique to be satisfied with just this much, that was certain.
A laughing fit was only a minor distraction and he needed to find a way to void out all distractions like when he was writing up a manuscript. And then it hit me as my power continued to flow and shift the chakra, I could simply treat this the same as if I were writing. I halted my visualization before sending my mind off to drift through another world, though this was not one like that which was real. I floated on my back across a sea of words and began to use that world to create the sphere. This was not happening as it had before, instead the words drifted up from the sea and began to shape themselves.
Those words represented my own power and this empty world of my own creation was my mind. I could hear my instructor talking to me, guiding me on the proper formation of the sphere yet it did not slow the movement of those words. It was merely a moment that I was in that world and cut off from nothing when the sphere was completed and I unleashed the energy. I could feel it pulsing through my body and watched as the power began to emerge from my chest, a perfect sphere of power. I smiled at what I had accomplished, still knowing I had to work on the combat readiness of the technique.
It was then that something on the sphere caught my attention and I leaned in closer to it, examining it closely. For a moment I was stunned when I saw it, but then I let out another laugh. It was a word, 'Andre', to be more specific it was a series of words. Just as it had been in the sea of words that filled my mind, the orb had come into creation with the words printed on it for those who looked closely to see. I would have to see if this affected the use of the technique next while I was trying to form it during a combat situation.
It would seem that my teasing had been too much for the girl and she gathered her things and left. It was a shame, but that would just allow me to better concentrate on what I was doing here. I was fairly satisfied with my ability to make one of those spheres outside of a stressful situation, yet now was the time to put it all to the test. I needed to try and create that sphere while being attacked by someone, perhaps the woman that was training me. I spoke with her about it and it was decided that for this training exercise I should spar with one of the other students under her.
I nodded, satisfied with this answer as long as that student would be able to keep up with me. I may not possess any special style of fighting, but I was still fairly good when it came to taijutsu itself. If it was too easy to dodge this one's blows I would have to ask for the teacher to spar with me herself. A male student came out and we bowed to each other out of respect before he launched in to attack, this was training. As he began to attack me I let my mind wander into that void in space where words flowed like water, the place where I could form the sphere of chakra in peace.
As my mind flowed and the sphere of words began to take shape I moved my body to avoid the attacks of the student. It was all fairly easy to dodge, the boy was skilled but he was not at my level, so I allowed my mind to wander and form the sphere. It seemed like I was thinking and creating for an eternity in my mind, yet in reality not even a second had passed yet. As I dodged the punch I released the sphere that had formed which appeared in the air, it was far too simple like this, I needed more of a challenge. With a sigh I would trip the student and place my foot on his neck, showing my victory.
As I allowed the sphere to disperse I called over my teacher for this technique, I was not certain I would stay with the style at this point. Still, I would complete this technique and now I faced off against the woman, prepared to take some hits while I fought her. As we began my mind immediately began to race into it's own little sea of words while my body fended her off. This was what I was after, my mind focused on forming that sphere while I had to divide it to avoid getting struck. The words began to move from the sea and into the air in my mind as I ducked under her punch.
The shape of a sphere continued to form within my mind, I was getting closer to completing the technique. As I floated on the sea of words within my mind I continued to construct the sphere, one letter at a time. On the outside things were beginning to look grim though, I was barely able to keep up with her and it was clear that if she used her techniques in the style I would have been struck. This was a spar to let me construct the sphere, though, and it was taking far too long, but I was speeding up as time went on. I began to release the power and the chakra flowed through my system as it began to take shape, still too slow.
As I forced the chakra from my system it would rush rapidly through those veins of power. I could feel it coursing through my system milliseconds before it passed out of my body and form as sphere, but that was not enough. I got rid of the energy orb while trying to counter one of the woman's strikes, and failing, it was time for another attempt. My mind continued to drift through my tranquil sea of words as I plucked them up and began to give them shape with my energy. All this was going on within me while my body continued to react to her body, it felt somewhat distant to me.
As the sphere began to take shape faster and faster I tried to count the time that was passing, yet I could not get a grip on the concept at the moment. It was time to give this ability my best effort, to try and master this pain in the ass of a chakra based taijutsu technique. The power whirled through my system and pushed it's way out of my chest before it began to collect in the air to my right. Luckily it had positioned itself where I had wanted it to go so there was no problem with the positioning. I simply needed the technique to be fast enough, the woman teaching me would stop the sparring session if I had it.
