Appearance
Hisoka stands out in a crowd quite easily, despite his small stature. The eight year old stands at just over four feet tall and he’s light on his feet at sixty-two pounds. But his young age and appearance certainly isn’t what makes him stand out, oh no, it’s his pure white hair and vibrant blue eyes. His strangely colored hair is the main thing that catches people’s attention, and it’s almost always messy and haphazardly spiked all about. And his bright blue eyes reflect his innocence very clearly, and if that wasn’t enough he also has a strange marking on his face.
Just below his left eye, two fine red lines start about half an inch away from each other. They trail down his cheek at a curve, getting closer to each other until they meet at the center of his chin, where the strange red mark stops. It stands out against his pale skin as well, a mark that wouldn’t be easily missed unless he put some effort into hiding the birthmark. Underneath the marking, he does have quite a cute and boyish face, appearing to be an adorable little child.
For the most part, he enjoys wearing mere shorts and T-shirts with standard ninja sandals, never bothering with anything too fancy. He really doesn’t care too much about he wears and tends to just pull on whatever he finds that happens to be clean, which just happens to be mainly comprised of knee-length shorts and T-shirts. Sure his clothes are usually wrinkled and unkempt, but as a small child he really couldn’t care less.
All over he is pale, never really having been able to tan even when he tried. Besides the birthmark on his cheek, he doesn’t have many other markings either. For the most part he had lived a nice and safe life, away from the hazards that are common of the profession that he’s pursuing. Though he does commonly get scrapes and bruises from playing or training, he hasn’t gotten any permanent scars yet, even though it’s only a matter of time.
For the most part, save for his strange hair color and marking, he appears to be a normal little boy. He’s energetic and curious, can commonly be seen running about and asking questions. And it’s actually sort of rare to see him standing still when he’s not in class; at the very least he’d be bouncing on his feet or fiddling with something. His demeanor is happy as well, because even when something is dragging him down he tries not to let it show.

Personality
Happy is what Hisoka seems to be most of the time, always acting as if he’s in a good mood even when he isn’t. The child isn’t the best at pretending, but he’s getting better as the years pass by. Truth be told he has felt incredibly lonely for years, not even remembering what his parents looked like, much less why they had abandoned him to grow up on his own. But he doesn’t complain nor wallow in his misery, instead he tries not to think about it and just be happy.
His favorite pastimes are training any playing, mostly just keeping himself busy so he doesn’t think too much. It’s why he always seems so impatient and antsy, always wanting to be doing something. And as he currently is, he isn’t exactly ninja material. He has a lot to learn, currently far too impatient and childish to be successful at being a shinobi. It seems as if his training is the one thing he takes seriously, as well as his studies, his one step in the right direction.
This little boy isn’t exactly stable emotionally, he just avoids and ignores everything that’s bad and pretends that everything’s fine. And he tends to be a bit on the clingy side, not wanting to let go of any friends that he happens to make because he’s worried about them leaving him. He’ll bend over backwards for his friends and let them use him however they want for the most part, as long as they stay by his side. It isn’t exactly healthy, but he’s far too afraid of being abandoned and left completely alone again.
Sometimes he can even get a little obsessive over certain people; he’ll follow them around and try to be like them for some reason or another, usually because they’re particularly well liked. And he would merely want to be like them, so that way he would have a lot of friends as well. He just keeps trying to somehow fill the void that his parents had left behind, and he had figured that the best way to do that would be to become the Otokage one day.
Tsukiko Mayu is the one who is his current main obsession, she’s strong and a lot of people follow her as leader, and Hisoka wants to be like her. He wants to be the sort of person everyone looks up to, the sort of person everyone likes. He wants to have a lot of friends, he doesn’t want to feel so alone all of the time. So he stalks his own kage, he tries to discover what makes her so special so he can be that way too. Whether or not it will work he doesn’t yet know, but is determined to find out.

History
Born to a traveling couple of the Kyoudo bloodline, Hisoka doesn’t know how his parents were or even that he is of that clan. Having only been about two years old when his parents abandoned him in Otogakure, he doesn’t even remember their faces and doesn’t know a thing about his heritage. He doesn’t even know why they left him there, absolutely no clues or anything having been left behind for him. They were following their line’s tradition, believing that he would come out stronger from the nothingness that they left him in.
Taken in by an orphanage, he was commonly teased for being different because if his weird hair and the marks on his face. He was different from the other children and was singled out because of it, which made him feel even more alone on top of his parents having abandoned him there. The orphanage was pretty much hell for him, he absolutely hated it yet there wasn’t really anything he could do to escape it. Sure he thought of running away, but there wasn’t really anywhere he could go.
It wasn’t until he was five that things started looking up, a kind couple having adopted him after they saw how badly he was teased and picked on by the other children just because he was different. Takashi and Amaya Dhënada were their names, and they taught him that being different and unique was a good thing, they taught him how to have an open mind. They were a kind couple, making it clear to him that he did have a place to call home even if they couldn’t truly replace the parents that left him there.
The two weren’t ninja themselves, but they had been traveling mercenaries for years and knew quite about chakra, and they taught him. While he didn’t learn many actual techniques from them, they did teach him how to harness his chakra and be able to walk on walls and trees and whatever else he could. And he also discovered his potential to work with lightening very easily afterwards, and after that followed the phantasm perception, and then the earth release as well.
While he couldn’t really do actual techniques, they could clearly tell that young Hisoka definitely held the potential to learn them. Not too long after his seventh birthday one of his old bullies at the orphanage caught up with him, and since they were alone the other boy was particularly cruel. Small pieces of scrap metal and pipes were thrown at him, the other orphan particularly pissed off because he had actually been adopted, while the other was still in the orphanage.
Through the alterations he had figured out that he could make to lightening, he found out that he could somehow alter the polarity of the metal objects while he was under pressure and panicking. Already he was quite beat up by the time he figured it out, curled up in a corner and trembling. Suddenly four white dots appeared in his bright blue eyes, making a square around his pupil, and at the same time he was able to alter the trajectories of two bits of metal that were heading towards him, by giving them each a positive charge. It wasn’t much of an angle change, but it was enough to make them divert to the side and miss.
After yelling freak the bully ran away in fear, not knowing what had just happened or what Hisoka had just done. The beaten young boy made his way home in tears, where his adoptive parents took care of him and nursed him back to health. Just a few days later he saw how Mayu, the kage of his village appeared to be so respected by everyone, and he sort of followed her whenever he got the chance, trying to stay hidden in crowds. And as far as he knows, she hasn’t noticed his antics yet.
Just after he turned eight he entered the academy, the age that most children started in it. He’s determined to become kage one day, to be one who’s loved by many and not shunned. His adoptive parents support him as well, which certainly helps. Only very recently he has started, not having learned anything from the classes yet.
