Travelling to the Chuunin Exams

Raika made his way along the most direct road to the Land of Frost. Thankfully, he wouldn’t need to travel extremely far, as Frost bordered Kaminari to the southwest. Tatsu held a kunai in his hand, using his compass lightning jutsu regularly to make sure he stayed on course.
The young shinobi was dressed in mainly black, wearing a battle-ready kimono--under which was a thin layer of clothing meant for warmth. The kimono and hakama set resembled a karate gi, but were made to be light and soft as a kimono, though thicker than traditional kimonos, mainly for Raika's more cold-blooded body. A red and gold European dragon design ordained Raika's back, while black hood covered most of Raika's head, while a long blood-red scarf covered much of the rest. Raika's outfit was accented by armor plates, sparse and useless for protection, but they looked good and that's what Raika wanted. His hands were covered by black, nearly skin tight gloved with red accents, great for protection from the cold while still allowing for good mobility and dexterity; his feet were also covered, which meant no skin save a small part of Raika's face was exposed.
Around his waist were some red kusazuri, while his Itosen Dagekimi katana hung on his left side and a Type 3 Utility Belt, which held 28 kunai, 45 hira-shuriken, 1 spring razor, 1 multi-tool, and 64 explosive tags, 8 lightning tags, a pair of goggles--which had anti-flash lenses as well as thermal, night, and x-ray vision--5 thermal capsules, and a lock picking kit. A hidden short short was held right above the utility belt on Raika's back, with the blade itself hidden within the sheath. It was a kind of assassin tool, as the blade--about half a meter in length--would extend out of the sheath (which looked just like a patterned rectangular piece of metal about a third of a meter in length).
Tatsu kept walking, at one point deciding to jog. It was a good way of warming up as he neared the Land of Frost, and would be a good way to get his blood moving. He was glad that he could deal with long distance walking/running, since he had no other way of getting around for now. Stamina wasn’t so much of an issue, but he had to make sure not to tire himself out before the Chuunin exams. Still, the sun was shining today, which helped supply Tatsu with extra energy for his travels. He kept using his compass technique as he travelled, taking care not to lose his way. As he neared the frigid country of Frost, he could feel the temperature dropping.
“Definitely glad I’m wearing all of this.
