Suiton: Chiisaimizubakahatsu (Tiny Water Explosion)
Rank: “D”
Type: Ninjutsu
Effect: Creates a small wave of water that rushes towards an opponent.
Special: "Handseals"
Drawback: N/A
Description: The user performs the handseals described in special. There, they release chakra into the water and send a small tidal wave (about five feet tall) towards the opponent. The water moves at a speed of about ten miles per hour, so a direct hit from the water can be painful, but not life-threatening.

After having returned to the village hidden in the grass, Michi found himself without having much to do. The world around him moved in a slow dull manner and he yawned as he thought, "My mission just such a short time ago nearly got me killed. I think I need to do some training to increase my survivability or else I may not come back." He thought about his foster mother and how she might view this and realized he did not want to disappoint her.
Therefore, he found himself a small stream near the grove he lived by and decided that he was going to train himself in water jutsus today. Water jutsus, as far as he remembered from his courses, were going to be helpful because everything needed water to survive. The only issue was whether or not he was able to think of a good one to teach himself and if it was something that was going to help him in the long run.
He focused back on his academy days and remembered one day when a teacher had taught them something called the Tiny Water Explosion. This technique, if he remembered correctly had the ability to make a small wave capable of dousing fires and explosions, but most importantly had the ability to knock someone back. Scratching his head for a moment, a small frown crept up onto his face as he clasped his hands together and tried to form hand seals while standing in front of the stream. He released his chakra into the stream but only found that when he did so that the water bubbled up to the surface and made ripples.
He made himself exude more chakra from his body and this time the ripples got bigger and sloshed around a bit. Yet they were still not forming any waves. He needed even more power to make the water move properly in the stream and increased his chakra usage to the point of having to use about thirty percent or so to make a simple, small wave. It sloshed forward at a speed of three miles per hour before splashing down on the opposite side of the stream bank. This water then receded back into the stream and he panted trying to catch his breathe.
"This is a lot of work," he noted to himself aloud. "Will I have to use fifty percent or more of my own energy just to make the kind of wave I want?" He knew from his lessons that in order to create a proper Tiny Water Explosion the wave had to be around five feet high and reach a maximum velocity of ten miles per hour. His current wave though, from what he was able to see, was only two feet tall and capable of only going three miles per hour. The reason he knew this information though was that he had been the live test dummy during the class for this technique and as a result had gotten pushed around in a swimming pool by the teacher's waves.
The results of this practice session had nearly drowned him and caused him to shutter as he thought back to how a student had to go and pull him out of the water because he could not swim then. It had not been fun, however, he could now swim a little better; although, not by much. He refocused his efforts though and for the next hour continued to grow his wave until it reached four feet high and was able to to go a total of nine miles per hour. At this point, the water was capable of back lashing at him and because he was not used to the technique yet he found himself quickly drenched in stream water.
Continuing his work though, the young man eventually was able to reach the point of making a five foot wave with a ten mile per hour speed setting in the next two hours. His eyes sparkled as he formed his hand seals for this completed technique and launched the tidal wave from the stream. This wave splashed up onto the other river bank, knocked into a tree across the way, shook it to the core so that it would fall over, and then flowed back into the stream again where the gentle waters switched direction and came back at him.
"Darn," he uttered as his face was splashed. The technique was still not perfect, but with actual battle experience he was sure it could be of use in the future
