Favour's Focus
Rank: "D", "C", "B", "A", "S"
Skill: GenJutsu
Effect: A jutsu that increases the difficulty of Illusions against the affected person.
Special: "Handseals"
Drawback: ---
Description: Affects 5 creature creatures per Class level, medium size or smaller. The user is able to perform this technique on the target they touch. The duration of this technique is permanent. This technique may be negated. This Jutsu requires a dangerous action for most GenJutsu users, a successful melee attack. If the save against this Jutsu is successful, the target remains unaware that Favour's Focus tried to affect them, though the user may have seen the Jutsu performed or been aware of the attack. Only 1 Favour's Focus, regardless of Jutsu Rank, can be in effect on a given target at any one time. If a second one targets someone already effected by one, both are instantly Dispelled. A user can have only 5 Favoured per Class Level at one time. To create another Favoured, one of the others must be released. The user determines which one. If any Favoured has the favour Dispelled or otherwise escapes it, the user knows immediately (although no other information is relayed; the user knows only of the Jutsus's loss)
"D" Rank - Until Dispelled a special +1 favor bonus applies to the saves of any Enchantment Jutsus the user uses the target. Additionally, line of sight is no longer required if the user is somehow aware of the target (now called the Favoured) within range.
"C" Rank - +3 bonus applied to saves.
"B" Rank - +5 bonus applied to saves. The user can choose to reduce the favour bonus to +2. If this is done, the Jutsu can affect a humanoid target of any size.
"A" Rank - +7 bonus applied to saves. The user can choose to reduce the favour bonus to +4. If this is done, the Jutsu can affect a humanoid target of any size. Alternatively, the user can decide to make the favour bonus +1 instead. If this option is chosen, the Favour's Focus can affect any living creature susceptible to mind-affecting Jutsus.
"S" Rank - +9 bonus applied to saves. The user can choose to reduce the favour bonus to +6. If this is done, the Jutsu can affect a humanoid target of any size. Alternatively, the user can decide to make the favour bonus +3 instead. If this option is chosen, the Favour's Focus can affect any living creature susceptible to mind-affecting Jutsus.
Limit: Must know the Enchantment Perception.

Kai was expecting one of the slots to be filled, but instead his chakra morphed. At least that was how Kai would think to describe it, but after a little thinking he supposed it made sense. The shape of the chakra would change to suit its purpose, in this case the chakra morphed in to something suiting a phantasm genjutsu.
As that was the perception that the technique came from, although this technique was starting to make a little more sense it was still all very confusing even for Kaius. Confused by the technique still Kaius decided to remove it from himself, but not in the usual way. He wanted to observe properly how the chakra was chased out of his body.
So he performed his handseals ready for another favours focus, this time to be performed on himself. Once the handseals were complete, which did not take long, he clapped his hands together again and the effect took place. Of course he carefully observed every moment of it, making sure not a single detail passed by him.
What took place was... interesting, the chakra that was originally clinging to his brain combined with the other chakra. Strangely enough this did not empower the genjutsu it actually worked against it, by probably having too much chakra added to the technique it rejected the extra and in the end it destroyed itself.
The way that chakra worked had always confused Kaius, so he decided it would be best if he just accepted this as his final answer. The absolute reason why it did not strengthen the technique but rather destroy it would have to remain a mystery for now. However, with this at least Kaius had at least a little further of an understanding of his new technique.
