"So, he's been paid, then?" asked Lord Fuu.

The assistant nodded, before handing an invoice record that showed a six figure payment to the one named Cannel.

Lord Fuu nodded. "Good, he could have done better, but his team kept me alive. That won't be enough, though. This can't happen again. I want long term guards, of a better quality. At least five, nothing less. Draw their wages from the tax surplus."

The assistant bowed, then wandered out the room to carry out Lord Fuu's orders.

By Naota Looking around at the damage strewn area, the young red haired samurai would wonder where everyone that was left had gone. It was clear that the people had left, the way to the vault where their items were was completely unguarded and unprotected. Quickly redressing himself in his torn Hakama, toe socks, straw sandals and white and blue Kimono’s the young man would place both his Katana’s into his belt and look around, mostly for Raika. “As much as it pains me to say this, we should retreat for now, return home and rethink our battle plan, we came unprepared and that nearly cost us our lives. What do you say Raika?” The young man then looked at his companion and waited for a response.

Raika changed clothes and grabbed all of his gear, strapping on his swords last, thankful to have everything back. Nera wrapped around his torso within the clothes. She could not smell any of the guards in the near vicinity. Raika knew there was bound to still be guards in the building. Suddenly, Okuda spoke the words that Raika himself had already begun thinking.

"I agree. At this point, it would be nearly impossible to get to the target anyways. We need time to prepare for another attempt. Let's get out of here before any guards show up. Plus, you're still wounded, you need to get to a hospital as quickly as possible."

Raika then walked out and began searching for an exit.
