The next room ahead was that of a long hallway, with plenty of doors leading off to other rooms. Stepping into the hallway would cause a wave of emotion to roll over Mayu. A pure, abject misery pervaded the air in this area. The depressive mood would drive itself deep into Mayu's brain, and she would have to fight just to keep herself from flopping to the floor in apathy. Old actions and thoughts that Mayu had had before now would start to pull themselves free of her sub-conscious, every tiny thing she ever regretted coming to mind in one long stream.
If she could resist this incredibly debilitating effect and pushed forward Mayu would gain the knowledge of what she needed to do to complete her "duty", to solve the mystery of the house and make it safe for the Sound Daimyo, at least in a tiny part. Indeed Mayu would find the more she pushed forward the easier it became to do so, her purpose here locked tight in her mind and pushing away the unnatural regret she felt. She needed to go forward, to meet the person she knew was ahead of her.
Reaching the end of the Hallway and opening the door Mayu would immediately come face to face with, "Sir Marcus, former Shinobi of Otogakure, at your service, Otokage-sama..."
Pinned to the far wall of the room was a man, the same man that Mayu had seen in her vision of the Ballroom walking with Minerva down those steps, the same man in the vision Mayu had experienced at the barrier. I beg your forgiveness for not treating you with the respect you deserve, Otokage-sama, but I find myself unable to give you a proper bow at the moment."
Marcus was transfixed to the wall by a dozen iron bolts that looked to have been hammered into place by an incredibly strong hand, his flesh tore around the places the bolts had pierced, and a slow black flow of blood continually stained the floor below him. The pool of blood there never grew any wider however. Marcus himself was really a good-looking man, and his voice and tone when he had spoken to Mayu was eloquent and extremely polite, great feeling put into his respect for the Otokage. He was the kind of man who could have almost any woman he chose, a perfect candidate for seducing targets.
"Ah, Otogakure must be blessed to have such a beautiful Kage now... I know you're here for answers Otokage-sama... ask them, and I will tell you what I can..."
