Description: Tessen are crafted out of iron, and are thus more durable than other fans. Two metal spoke provide the framework for the fan, some of these fans are pure metal through the entire frame work with no open area, others show the stalks one would see on a shushken or similar fan. The metal is wrought to fold easily and allow the fans to open and close. Designs are often painted upon these weapons at the users digression. Character Depth
Personality: A gentle and kind soul Jeiku doesn't like to fight very often unless friends are in danger. He knows that there are times when you must put aside what you want and do what is needed. It is not something he relishes in but he can be at times a bit cruel when protecting his friends. Most of the time hating himself for the horrible things he does in his violent fits of rage when his friends get hurt by other people. Hoping to make amends with all those that get caught in the crossfire of his anger. At times he can get a bit grim and gruesome when he is upset. Not really thinking very much about the mental well fare of those around him and how he may affect the mental state within them.
Never really liking to be a pawn of other people he is rather stubborn at all times rarely ever backing down from his point of view or choices made. Following his stubbornness to the point that he will make irrational decisions on an instant. Never really caring for the consequences of his actions until after they are dead and over with. Sometimes even seeing his own irrational choices he will follow it to the point of stupidity. Only backing down from his choices when he see's there is no other way or if an important person to himself wants him to.
A bit hot tempered at times he can be a rather hard to deal with from time to time. Other then his friends being in danger or his stubbornness being at it's most his anger is almost non-existent. Most of the time he is happy and willing to be nice to other people. Liking to be around others he is very friendly most of the time unless provoked for no reason. Preferring to be in the shadows than the front lines of a fight or argument. A lot of the time hiding from people when it all starts and waiting to gain a opportunity to either strike a target(s) or run from it.
Loving to walk around the village to look at the beauty of its waters and what is below it. Taking time out of almost every week to go swimming at some point. Making sure to stay clear of the fisherman just in case a stray fish hook ever gets caught in his skin. Sometime getting paranoid to the extent of becoming a delusional madman. Very rarely trusting people when going a bit mad unless they are people that he loves as a friend, family or a lover. Though mad he may get when he is paranoid him being violent at the same time is almost never seen or heard of.
Having lots of energy calling him energetic is a understatement to say the least. Though even with him being very hyper about all the time; he gets worn out quite easy for the most part. Being generally all the time very happy or so it seems; it should be of no surprise that he had wanted to be a medic. What had made him start to think against it was the fact that with his skills he could be better suited for warfare. Although never having a true reason to feel regret for the things he has done in his heart he is full of sorrow from his past actions none the less. He is also very shy when meeting new people and will remain that way until he is good friends with them. At which point he is no longer the shy and skittish person that people might think him to be.
Appearance: His hair is a bright and natural red color that most do not have very often. Most of the time his hair would be nice and long and flowing to his shoulders. A few months ago he had it cut into a military fashion and is now letting it grow back out. A lot of people say that they like his hair shorter but he does not agree with them on that. His hair still short to himself is about two inches long which is not something he is happy about. Also he doesn't like the roughness of his hair at the moment from the lack of necessary hair products to keep it soft and smooth.
The color of his eyes being a darker but light sky blue his eyes almost sparkle on his face when he is happy about something. Not really long or short his nose is not really noticeable to most people. Having a happy attitude most of the time it is not rare to see him smiling or at least faking a good smile. His teeth are all but almost perfect with only one being crooked and none missing he has a good smile overall. Trying at times to take care of his skin it is mostly smooth and soft other than his hands and feet which are rough and calloused.
Being a tall five-ten and weighing about one-hundred and sixty-five he is very small for his size and almost anorexic. Most of the time while out in public he can be seen wearing a thin black coat that should be buttoned upped in front that is left open. That and he can be seen wearing a women's black frilly and slutty skirt that goes to his knees. Lucky for most people he always wears black shorts under all of his skirts. Because of the fact that most of his skirts are also black most can not tell that he is wearing shorts in the first place.
Another thing that is in almost all of his coats are the fact that the sleeves either cut or burnt at the wrist. Mostly to show of the copper bands the are permanently kept around his wrists by two piercings around the bone and a bracelet of sorts on his right hand. Similar bands are also kept on his ankles within the same manner as the ones on his wrist. Then at last the final copper band is kept around his neck by piercing both collar bones forcing it to stay in place. Though most think that these are jewelry's of his and in a way they are now that he is free; but in truth these where meant to be a sign of his past working to entertain and pleasure others without himself wanting to.
When at home he still wears all of the bands mostly because it would be fatal to take them all off. But at least at his own house he covers them up under one of his longer skirts, shirts or coat's. Though even if he could take them all of without it being fatal to him he wouldn't want to. Though he is a bit unkempt and raggedy as he is now he plans on changing that very soon. The clothing he has now are a bit torn up from a dispute over his friends; that of which he lost the fight and his friends. Hoping to someday free his friends from the life he had once lived.
Background: As a child nothing was ever how it should have been for one of his age or anyone else for that matter. It is said that the life of a ninja is harder then most others maybe that is true for most but it wasn't for Jeiku. When he was little he was sold by his mother in order for her to keep up on house payments and also for a bit of money. To her he had meant nothing other then to be a burden that can be of no use to anyone. Soon realizing that he was never again meant to be a normal person or free.
Growing up he was used and sold at least two to three times a day sometimes five or even six at most. Quickly gaining a hatred for all that forced themselves onto him never able to speak his own mind. Most of the time regretting the days to come and horrified of what had been today. Sleeping for a majority of his childhood in a dirty and filthy horse stable; the horses most days being treated above himself. After gaining the trust of his owner he was moved into the same house as him. Living there for a full two years and about three months with a lot fewer customers then normal. With at least four to six a day minimum and at most seven to ten when normally it would be somewhere between ten to fifteen a day.
After trying to escape from the house and become free of ownership he was caught in a failed attempt. Becoming a favorite of his owner his punishment was instead of death living back in the horses stables for a year. After a very cold night in fall Jeiku almost died of frostbite and was brought back into the house. To live and be nursed back to health in the care of his owner who had fallen in love with him. Who had kept it a secret and was planning to tell him when his punishment was over with. That being the only reason why he has been having fewer customers then he usually does.
While he was sick and being nursed back to health Jeiku's owner had gotten sick from food poisoning pacifically a rotten potato used in making potato soup. Not having the money to support both himself and Jeiku his owner had decided to let himself die in order for Jeiku to live out his life. Without Jeiku's knowledge of him doing so his owner had also shortly before jeiku recovered given him his freedom. After he could walk and go about his own again he reassumed his old life style and job without knowing that he didn't have to anymore. Soon making friends of sorts and a few regular customers at that.
Months later when the man had passed away from his unfortunate food accident it was reviled to Jeiku that he was free of his hated job. Not really knowing what else to do and having no skill at anything else he was not really free in the sense of the word. Living on the streets and continuing his nightmare day after day for about five years. He learned from one of his regular customers that if one was skilled or gifted enough then they could become a ninja. With a new goal in mind and a hope of a better life what else could Jeiku really hope for. Deciding to be a medic after enrolling in the academy to be a ninja Jeiku graduated in about a full year.

Effect: A defense maneuver that is used to block an incoming attack.

Description: This move can be performed with either an open or closed fan. Using the steel portion of the fan the user is capable of blocking attacks that are aimed in a straight line. The user will slap the steel against the oncoming limb and push the limb to either the right or left. This serves to redirect the strength of an attack away from the user. Whatever rank of the technique is known the user is able to block attacks that are one rank lower. D rank blocks E rank. C rank blocks D rank ect.
