Kenji had been playing a lot of League of legends, pretty standard for kid these days, even if he was Kage. It had come to his attention that he was quite similar to the marksman role, high damage ranged, but his defence was known as a glass cannon. One thing that he had noticed while playing the game was the size of their guns, his was massive. So he decided a change was needed.
First he would need to find some herbs. So the team assembled, all the animals where present. Each was given a direction to head in, what would they find? Kenji went north, he didn’t have the uncanny senses of the animals, but his recent acquisition of the Megillos herb boosted his eyesight to a god like level. So much so that he was now confident that he would be able to spot even the slightest hint that a Tamariske tree was nearby.
As he moved ever forward Kenji would continue to work on his impersonation of the characters from the game. Using many of their quotes, and attempting to adjust his voice to be more inkeeping with theirs. The first was twitch the plagued rat, as the name implied this character was a rat, so his voice didn’t sound all that human.
“Rust is like more delicious mold.”
This was his first quote, and one of his favourites in the whole game. He really enjoyed playing as twitch and this is what he perceived his voice to sound like, however our impersonations aren’t always as good as we think are they? Kenji had recorded the process on his video recorder, he played the sequence back and to his horror he sounded nothing like twitch.
Clearly something needed to be done, he cast his mind back to his study of ‘Little Blue Book of Riddles’ perhaps icoruprating jokes into the lines would better aid him? After all that was what the book focused on, but what jokes where they? The only one that came to mind was from a character called Tristana. Perhaps he would have more luck impersonating this little blue yordle?
“Is that a rocket in your pocket?”
Takkun used her keen sense of smell to pick the direction she wanted to head in, she had caught the scent of what she believed to be a Tamariske tree; however it could well turn out to be just a leaf. Would be quite the shame if this was the case. The snake shot off east, slivering through the underbrush at quite the rapidly rate.
Bel took to the sky, something that should have come as no surprise given that she was a giant eagle. Rather than relying on her sense of smell, which was subpar, she would attempt to use her keen eyesight to spot the tree from a vantage point. After all viewing the trees from the sky made the task that much easier, the problem was the identification of the tree perhaps she would miss the tree or id one incorrectly?
Ba’al largely ignored the rest of the team, he already knew where he was going to. He also possessed an uncanny level of smell, and he had caught the scent of the tree, he was quite sure of this. Of course his direction was totally different to all the other team members, he felt that this would only increase his chances as they would probably only hinder his performance. Question was, had he really found the tree or was it just an imitation? Had his nose tricked him?
Levi chose to capitalise on her massive size, she could simply avoid any hindrance that the terrain may have imposed on the other party members, able to clamber over the undergrowth to maintain. Her sense of smell was also pretty darn strong, in combination with her ability to move unimpeded by the terrain she was able to steadily close the gap towards her target at a consistent pace, would she be the first of the party to discover the herb?
Amon as always, was the last to act. He really didn’t care in the least about finding a herb; nevertheless he would search hoping to find something to entertain him on his ‘hunt’. Unfortunately his sense of smell was abysmal, instead he relied on his keen animal instincts to actually track the trees. Although trees couldn’t move, animals would inadvertently spread its leaves and seeds, from these small points he would be able to work out if he was getting closer as they would presumably become more frequent the closer he got to the tree!

Torakkingu Nioi (Tracking Scent) Levi (Newt), Ba'al (Snake), Takkun (Snake)
Rank: D, C, B, A, S
Skill: Skill
Effect: An animal companion hones their sense of smell to such levels that they may track an opponent.
Special: N/A
Drawback: Certain animals cannot progress to the higher levels of this technique do to their lack of acute scent abilities. Animals with unremarkable scent abilities, such as the bird, can only learn up to the B ranked version of this technique.
Description: The user of this technique gathers their natural scent abilities, using them to track an opponent. The animal catches the scent of the tracked object or person, and from there follows the scent trail. With the D ranked version, the user can only track a scent ten days old. Each rank higher that is trained increases the time frame by ten days. This means that a user with the C ranked version can track a scent twenty days old, while the S ranked version can track a scent fifty days old. This technique may be used to track humans, objects, or even herbs. However, when tracking an herb or poison, the user can only track an herb or poison of the same rank of as their current level of this technique. The user can only track an herb they have encountered in the past. The user must have encountered either a poison itself or the components making it up in the past in order to track it. This technique increases the user’s chance of finding an herb by five percent. This amount increases by a further five percent at each rank, so an S rank user has their chance of finding an herb increased by twenty five percent. The user can track an opponent over various terrains, including grassland, hard earth, and undisturbed snow and sand, and still water. When tracking another human being, the user has a thirty percent chance of catching a scent while in the same region, or a ten percent chance while in an adjacent region. A user must have at least one post between each post asking for a scent roll. This percentage increases by ten at each rank, so the S ranked version of the technique allows the user a seventy and fifty percent chance, respectively. Once a scent is successfully caught, and the user is in the same region as the tracked victim, the user has a twenty percent chance of finding them. This percentage increases by ten for each rank of this technique learned, so the S ranked version offers a sixty percent chance.
Limit: Must be an animal with a high sense of smell.
