Wails on the Waves [E]

Near the underbelly of Hi no Kuni, where the beach's sands clung closely to the Gulf of Fire, was a ship which had been anchored there for days. The first thing that those who would venture here would see would be the massive sail of the water vessel, which towered gloomily over the treeline; the traveled road ahead would reveal to them the decaying state of the ship, as they turned through winding woodlands to reach the shore. The small child that had traveled with the Kaishin Genin would stop before the ship and grimace.

"W-we.. have to get on that?" she would ask her elder; her once giddy ways were soon replaced with uncertainty. She was the one who lead Katsu her, as she knew of its location when he did not.  Had Katsu looked wherein she pointed, he'd see the ship; from there, he would be able to catch the sight of a smaller vessel headed towards the beach. Two figures had been faring the smaller boat, yet from the lack of light due to the ship's massive sail, their guise was cloaked by obscurity. 

By the time all of the people who had been selected had reached the beach, the boat would have done likewise. The shinobi of Konohagakure no Sato had since been told of the meeting place, as they would have known surely the location of the lower delta.

Katsu wore a long and white coat, it reached just around his knees. The white coat was trimmed with a light blue, along the ends and straight up the middle. It was noted that the coat had a tall collar and underneath the coat a black shirt is seen. The boy raised his hands to slip the Yukigakure headband around his forehead. He tightened it and looked forward, he noticed the massive sail. Katsu backed up, just to allow a better look. The sand kicked up around his green trousers, which tucked into black combat boots.

He turned around to notice the little girl had followed him, why?! "W-we.. have to get on that?" She anxiously asked. Katsu shook his head, the ties from the end of his headband swayed in the ocean breeze. "You weren't supposed to follow me!" Katsu's lips parted to speak, he didn't want this child to possibly get hurt.

The child pointed near the boat, Katsu reluctantly turned his head. Honestly, what could be more surprising than the large ship? There, a smaller boat came into visual and faring it were two figures. The boy's eyes widened and then narrowed, Wasn't I the only one for this task.. Pirates?

The boy's right leg stretched back, he assumed a defensive stance. If it were to be trouble, the young Kaishin had an arsenal of jutsu and techniques. As well as the four kunai, fifteen Hira shuriken, and eighty explosive tags which were all located in various slots of his attire. "If they're trouble, please stay behind me!" The genin's coat flowed in the wind the land provided. However, it felt nice and warm. Katsu would soon have to take his coat off.

Menma walked toward the beach, clearing the trees slowly as he did. He smiled gently, his monks clothing repaired as he smiled to himself. He had refound his old self, menma of the forest, the Crystal warrior, The insane King. They had called him many things long long ago. Butnow was a new age, and insanity wasn’t allowed. So he hid it, and acted like the kind monk he had once been. He held his flute between his lips gently as he walked, the gentle tunes playing from it as he walked. He had nothing on him but his flute, he had no need for other things.

As he approached the beach, he saw two other, a child and a older shinobi, based from what appeared like a headband on his head. He was glad he had left his at home. For he didn’t want to blow his disguise just yet. “Hello down there! Might you be travelers boarding this vessel?” He slide down the sand dune and landed next to them. The boat was old, older then most would allow to sail. “This is where the spirits have drawn me…But why?”

[Hayashi]

Hayashi ran towards the Gulf of Fire, a location he had heard about where something of importance might be found. The boy ran with his black T-shirt under his green tactical vest with his butt bag holding his shuriken and kunai on the right side next to his longsword that hung on the right side of his waist, while his utility belt held his wire and explosive tags on the left side.

As Hayashi approached the beach, he noticed that there were already two people there; it was a child an an older looking man. While Hayashi approached, he prepared himself to attack if they were trouble until he saw another man slide down from a sand dune and land next to them. "Um, hello? I'm not here looking for any trouble." shouted Hayashi at the people he was approaching, when he noticed an old boat "Um, is that yours?" he said, pointing at the boat.

Little did Katsu know, but Fuyuku had been assigned to this particular mission. Unlike him, however, she hadn't hailed from a specific no Sato, but was a traveler from the Lands of Whirlpool where she had become an expert navigator at a young age. She also excelled in Suiton arts, but none of these traits would be revealed until much later. As the two men approached from the Gulf, she hid behind the shinobi of Snow.

Before the two on the small boat arrived to the shore, though, another man had reached the beach by sliding down a sand dune. His sudden appearance made the already timid Fukuyu jump as he introduced himself, and as she did so, she bumped into Katsu. This would have knocked the boy down had he not expected such a random push from the girl; further, his stance would have made it more easy for him to be knocked down from the back if one took into consideration the way the boy stood. The final boy to have entered into the vicinity did so in a way as to address his current standing on the situation. He seemed to be a friendly one. Fukuyu shook her head slowly as he asked his final question and pointed towards the shoreline again for Hayashi as the boat reached the closer reef area.

The two that had been upon the boat waved their arms now towards the beach.

"Hey, you over there!!" they shouted in unison. Now that their bodies hadn't been obscured by shadow, one would see that they had been twins. Two males with dirty blonde hair and similar attire. They jumped off of the small craft and hauled it towards the beach to meet the four that were there.

"Weeeeee," began one twin;

"Assume that you all are hereeeee.." the other chimed;

"To travel to the Land of Sea where stories tell of monsters that dream!" They finished in tandem. These two seemed friendly, despite their dirty visages and the deteriorating look of their larger vessel that could have made one assume that they'd been pirates. 

The gathered four were now able to jump aboard the smaller ship of the duo had they been ready to board the larger ship that was set to sail to the foreign island cluster of Umi no Kuni.

A strange melody played from the trees and a man's voice sounded shortly after, “Hello down there! Might you be travelers boarding this vessel?” Katsu turned his head to notice someone sliding down a sand dune. Katsu turned his head and began to speak, "I don't particularly ow-*Thump*.", and he was soon interrupted. The five foot and ten inch tall Kaishin fell into the sand, all thanks to Fukuyu. "Bleeh!" Katsu groaned, he opened his mouth after bringing himself up. The young shinobi's hand scrubbed the sand off of his tongue.

Katsu looked up and to his surprise another voice called out, More?! He took a deep sigh, this new voice yelled out, "Um, hello? I'm not here looking for any trouble." Neither was Katsu, so he began to dust his coat off from all of the sand. "Nope, not mine." Spoke the Snow ninja, the ship was not his but he caught on that he'd have to board it. After a moment, Katsu looked down and gently spoke to Fukuyu, "Be careful, next time.. okay?"

"Hey, you over there!!" Two voices shouted together, a simultaneous speech. Katsu looked over his shoulder to notice two males that had a similar appearance, possibly twins, they even had the same hairdo let alone attire.

"Weeeeee," a twin began,"Assume that you all are hereeeee.." The other joined in, "To travel to the Land of Sea where stories tell of monsters that dream!" And seemingly finished for each other, if not at the same time. "I believe so, I am Kaishin, Katsu!" Shouted the spiky black haired boy known as Katsu, he waved his hands at the twins. They looked dirty, but he could not blame them.

"This is your ship, right? Do we get on, now?!" Shouted the Kaishin once more, his right index finger ascended to point at the huge vessel. He looked back to the child, Fukuyu, and reassured her with a warm smile. The Snow Genin then led the child to the large ship, he boarded it with the twins.

Menma smiled gently, Reaching into his pocket and pulling a red velvet bag with a yellow draw string on it. He smiled gently as he kneeled by the young girl and took out a star shaped candy before handing it to the girl. He smiled gently and patted her head before moving toward where the boat was. They spoke of monsters who dreamed, and he laughed gently. “I never ask a man what his business is, for it never interests me. What I ask him about are his thoughts and Dreams.” He smiled gently as he bowed to the men on the boat. “If these monsters are indeed dreaming I would wish to ask them of what they dream, Be it dark waters or bright skys.”

He waited for the boat to get close enough and he would use his chakra to water walk the rest of the way. “I am Menma, Of the Crystal. But please, Menma will do.” He said as he looked at the twins. “You must tell me more of these sleeping monsters, for dreams can only happen when you sleep, no?”

[Hayashi]

Hayashi was relieved when he saw that the people there weren't any trouble to him but was confused upon learning that the boat seemed to have no owner. Well, now that Hayashi was not only confused, but also surrounded by people who he didn't know, he just stood there waiting for something to happen. Surely enough, something did happen as Hayashi heard two voices say "Hey, you over there!". Hayashi turned to see two twins who he hadn't noticed earlier.

"Weeeeee" said one twin, and then the other said "Assume that you all are hereeeee.." which only served to confuse Hayashi more. "To travel to the Land of Sea where stories tell of monsters that dream!" they finished. Okay, now Hayashi was incredibly confused. To be honest, the boy was just there as a start of a small adventure while he was out of Konohagakure no Sato but he'd keep this to himself.

"Um, yeah, I'm here to go to the Land of Sea, is this your ship?" asked Hayashi before feeling incredibly stupid, of course it was their ship, who would leave their ship with a couple of twins? Hayashi reassured himself as he saw the people around him get on the boat and began to run towards it, once he caught up, he asked "So, what is with these "monsters" you're talking about?".

The boat began to churn towards the larger ship with the selected four in tow, moving much quicker than it had during its approach to the beach. Ripping through the waves with their hair flying in every which motion, the twins smiled as they worked their way closer to their larger ship.

Fukuyu, sadly, had grimaced at Menma's offering of candy and the head pat. She moved away from him and clung close to Katsu, for fear that he had done something nasty to the candy, and thought that Menma was freaky from the way he had scared her earlier. The twins thought on this man's words, and replied as aptly as they could.

"Far out, maaan. but these monsters don't sleep. We've never seen them personally, but we hear they are these super ancient slimy thingies. Zombies, or whatever have also been seen by a few who dared set sail to Jiro, though." In hand with answering Menma, this would also rectify their limited understanding to Hayashi. The boat propelled quicker through the water as they neared the larger anchored vessel. A ramp that lead to a ladder was on the port-side of the boat and would allow one to climb aboard. One twin tied the smaller boat to the other then climbed above to aid young Fukuyu up its side. Being on this bigger vessel seemed to brighten her demeanor a bit, for she ran up and down the deck, her brown and short-cut hair whirling as she spun in circles across the aisle.

As to the man of the Crystal's final word, one twin would reply as best he could: "Who says that we all aren't sleeping now, man? Dreams can turn into reality.."

Once everyone had boarded the ship, the anchor was lifted and carefully they made their way out of the gulf. No real hazards were present initially as the twin's navigated around the Cha Kuni peninsula, surprised that Fukuyu had possessed some know-how of nautical navigation herself. The boys were left to their own devices as they neared the lower cusp of Tea Country.

With all the small talk aside, the small ship took off. Katsu did not personally believe monsters, literally, but he did believe people with evil intent as monsters. The ocean breeze sent Katsu's black and spiky hair everywhere, the air felt good and smelled clean. A sudden cling to the Snow ninja, Fukuyu again. His hand patted her head, all the while the teen looked around at everyone on the small boat.

The radical and ecstatic twins led the group onto the larger ship, via ramp. Katsu brought his arms up for balance while climbing atop. It was a nice ship once one got one, spacious. Fukuyu seemed to agree, as she had displayed so by running around the deck in enjoyment. Katsu came to smile, I wish I had a little sister. The teen thought, he moved over to one of the twins. "Do you know who is going to ride us back after the trip to the island?" His head shifted to the side, he awaited an answer. The anchor lifted and the ship set sail, Fukuyu did her thing and impressed everyone with her sea-fare skills. Katsu didn't know shit about that kind of stuff.

Menma listened to the twins as they spoke. Their words seemed to ring of something he could not understand. But he knew they had a point. He walked onto the larger boat and smiled gently as he made his way to the bow of the ship, to watch as they traveled. Zombies, and slimy things. The thought made his mind tingle as he stood there. Slowly a dark aura would flow from his person, and anyone near him could feel it as a thickening in the air. Monsters who seemed to turn dreams into reality? The dead Rising from below? He smiled as he stood there and laughed before taking out his flute and playing a gentle song. He was calmed again. But the inner madness was there, and it couldn’t wait to find new play things.

[Hayashi]

Hayashi looked towards the larger ship they were headed at as he heard the twins. Upon the mention of zombies and slimy things, he shivered. The boy was never really a fan of anything even remotely scary or creepy, much less zombies. "Why are we going there if there are zombies?" asked Hayashi, knowing what answer he'd get. The boy didn't want to fight any zombies, slimy things, whatever they were. But then, suddenly, the boy was more calm upon the mention of this being a dream, he hoped it was a dream.

Sometime after setting sail on the waters, the twins had managed to navigate the rapid tides of the Koumaku-ten Ocean to reach the large island of Haha by nightfall. Had the participants the keen eye, they would have seen floating orange lights on an island to the west of the largest island of the Sea Country cluster. When Katsu asked his question, one of the twins reassured him that they would ferry them all back to Fire Country.. had they managed to survive. Hayashi's inquiry would fall on partially deaf ears, but the darker-minded twin replied, "To get rid of them, of course."

Now on Haha Island, the travelers would follow the twins into the forest, headed towards the capital Okhotsk during the night. With everything already happening on an island over of Haha, the dark environment didn't really settle too well with Fukuyu. She clung to Katsu fervently, shaking like a leaf in the breeze. The main road to the capital was poorly lit and in the distance, there had been two small figures wobbling about yet standing still. Of course none present would see them until it was too late, however, ninja did always have better reflexes than most fleshy things.

The tides were tough, rough enough that Katsu was forced to grip the railings of the vessel. Night came down on the ship, however they were fairly close to the strand of land known as Haha Island. Katsu's eyes, which were fixated on the mass of land slowly coming into view, began to notice flickers of light. Blurry at first, but orange for sure. It was exceptionally reassuring that they would be ferried back to Konoha, at least they weren't being left for the dogs here. They act like I'm not getting out of here alive, in fact I have to. The Snow ninja declared, to himself, he then looked down and patted Fukuyu.

Stepping into the dark made Katsu feel uneasy, he would have pleased to arrive during day. Ah, well, what can one do? They were heading towards the capital of the islands, Okhotsk. Fukuyu was surely frightened, as she had adhered to Katsu's leg. "Don't fret, nothing will happen to you while I'm here." The Kaishin spoke, his attempts at inspiriting and heartening up Fukuyu was sweetened with a warm smile as well. The path leading to the capital was poorly illuminated, he was surprised he had not fell over. Same goes to anyone else.

He turned to the two Konoha ninja, had they been where he looked or even listening. He introduced himself, nonetheless. "Don't think we've properly said our hellos. I'm Katsu, Katsu Kaishin. Of Yukigakure no Sato, and yourselves?" The teen's share offered, after speaking of the Snow village, his right thumb tapped the headband located on his forehead. The headband had four circles etched in it, though hard to make out in the poor light.

Menma walked with the group as they left the ship. His feet touched the ground and he could feel it. The soil was…dead. It felt dead. His toes digged into hard bleak earth as he walked. He kept his eyes looking around. He felt it in his bones.the feeling of death and decay was around him. If anywhere would have zombies it was this place. His eyes twinkled with what could be seen as joy. He hadn’t had this kind of sensation in along time. His heart was beating faster and his palms were sweaty. He was feeling fear. “Yukigakure? I see. You know, Snow and Leaf have been enemies for quite some times.” He smiled gently as he held his flute. “I hope once this is done, we shall remain allies.” He smiled, and continued forward.

As the group progressed further towards the capital, Hayashi would make known his name, yet not his village affiliation. He hadn't felt the need to properly address the Snow-ninja, which was fine. Much more happier than before, the small female child would yell her name out to everyone present.

"I'm Fukuyu of the Koizumi clan!" smiling, she didn't even begin to think on explaining to them where she had hailed from. It was obvious that she wasn't a village shinobi, though due to her young age. She would be the first to spot the gelatinous terrors that immediately lurched forward once the group came into visible view. Dark shadows were still cast over the composition of the figures, so no one would have seen the true form and guise of these entities initially. The small girl would scream and faint behind Katsu once one of them made a terrible aquatic noise. It sounded extremely guttural, and was soon followed by the release of a sticky substance from both of the maws of the blobs. Having missed the cue of the girl's scream and the throat vociferation from the two unknown creatures, Hayashi became stuck in place by the syrup field's adhesive hold. The others were free to move, yet would have to be quick about it; one of the twins scooped Fukuyu from off the ground and dashed to his left off of the road as the other pulled a knife from his boot while jumping back. Hatsu and Menma could try to move away before the sticky water-based jutsu captured them in its hold..

What would they do now, when faced with so sudden an attack from an opposing force?

Suiton: Mizuame Nabara,(Water Release: Syrup Capture Field)
Rank: C - B rank
Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: Using this jutsu, the user can spit a stream of extremely sticky oily syrup that covers the ground and holds opponents in place.
Special: "Handseals"
Drawback: If used too much, the user can become very dehydrated and needs to drink water to wash away the syrup out of their system. Cannot be used more than 5 times in a battle. Any ninja capable of walking on water can avoid being stuck in the syrup, but needs to do so before being caught.
Description: The user performs the necessary hand seals and with just a few seconds of preparation, the user spits out a stream of sticky syrup out of their mouth and aims it at the opponents direction of the field. The C rank technique had the ability to spit a mid level stream of syrup towards the opponent or the opponents area causing them to stick where they are for 2 attacks. The B rank technique has the ability to spit out a very rapid hit to the opponent causing them and the area they step on for three attacks. The damage dealt to the opponent by the B-rank attack is like being hit with a Water Dragon Blast Technique. The oil is extremely flammable so stay caution of it's sensitivity to fire.
Limit: Water Release, experiences on performing technique that exit the mouth.

Such a nasty and unwelcoming atmosphere lingered, Katsu felt sick down to his stomach. Anxious butterflies flapped around,, in his belly, that's at least what he felt. One could not possibly predict what this historically horrendous island had to offer. He looked over to the 'Crystal' shinobi, who began to speak to Katsu. Hm, I didn't hear of that.. enemies? Hopefully that doesn't flounder this mission. Katsu tried his best to wear a bright expression, and then resume to speak to the man. "Me too, I really don't discriminate. Nobody is an enemy, to me, unless they've directly hurt my village." Spoke the Snow ninja, with a tone of pride. It was determined he carried great confidence in the gratification of his village.

Katsu turned his head, back to the twins, Fukuyu more importantly. There she had introduced herself, to the group, Never heard of that clan, before, although she sounds quite prideful in it. Thought the Kaishin, it was a delight to have such a cheery person alongside.

A sudden halt on the path and Katsu was shocked, he gulped and regained focus, there he saw two figures before him. The dark definitely did shadow their presence, and still when in view one could not make out who they really were. Katsu's palms came instantly together, he stood in front of Fukuyu and prepared to defend her. A shift of eyes noticed that Hayashi had been ensnared in some sticky stuff, shit! There was a nasty gurgling noise, watery at that. Could it be that this sticky stuff was actually water? Katsu quickly peaked over his shoulder, Fukuyu fainted and was taken to safety(?) by one of the twins, while the other suddenly pulled a knife out. He had no time to examine Menma's actions, because Katsu had to do something and quick.

"Guys, don't get caught in that sticky stuff!" Katsu shouted, almost at the top of his lungs. The boy bent backwards and took a mighty leap backwards, he couldn't get stuck in that sticky substance. Katsu glided rearwards in hopes to get a better feel for the situation, and a better angle for countering. Fuck, Hayashi.. I'll get him out in a second! Katsu pondered, just as he landed a two meters backwards and ended up skidding in the dirt for a total distance of three meters from his initial jump.

The boy regained himself and reached into his robe to grab out four hira shuriken, just as he did so the Kaishin's left foot slipped backwards and he positioned both feet 90 degrees apart. With the weight on his rear leg, Katsu held the four shuriken in his right hand which twisted to his left side. Katsu grunted and unleashed the four shuriken, hopefully with his effort, two would fly for one figure each. Katsu was careful not to send shuriken for his allies, either, as he had jumped backwards and left an open gap or path for the projectiles.

Effect: Stance is a crucial part of using any weapon. This is the basic stance technique.

Drawback: ---
Description: Begin with the feet in a 90° comfortably separated at about half a shoulder's width apart. Center the weight on the rear leg. When throwing the user shifts their weight to the front. This causes the hips and shoulders to twist into the throw forcing the body's power into the throwing arm. After the throw is complete recover by returning to the original stance to ready the next throw.
Limit: Must be a Throwing Specialist.

OOC- Used four movements I think. Jumping back, pulling the four shuriken out, getting into stance, and then throwing them. Is also Tai Specialist. On another note, please bear with me as I have close to no experience in BRP.

Menma smiled as the boy confirmed that he wanted friendship from him. But the scream of the little girl seemed to cut the still air. He looked toward what had been the source of her screams. It was then that he noticed the sticky fluid flowing toward him and his comrades. The sticky attack was nearly to him, and it forced him to use his crystallization. Turning the syrup near him to solid crystal as he took his flute and spun it gentl before throwing it up and performing handsigns before catching the flute again, forming a sharp pointed crystal spear from the flute, using it as the base for the item creation. He Smiled as he turned the spear into a staff with what appeared as a blade thick cutting edge on the top. She rushed forward, closing the ground between him and the monsters, a small aura of crystalizing energy surrounding him at 5 meters all around. Once the creatures were within range they would hopefully be turned to crystal. As they were he would spin using the new weapon he had made to shatter them to pieces.

Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: Allows the user to create crystal to varying degrees.
Special: Handseals of the technique it is used with..
Drawback: It is impossible to crystallize electricity, wind, or fire. Any element that lacks a physical presence can not be crystallized. Sound Jutsu will act as if one rank stronger then their designated technique when being pitted against crystal. Sound techniques use their high frequency and vibration qualities to essentially shatter your crystals, as opposed to just break them, if they are geared towards acts of that nature *ie they are meant to damage physically and not some sort of genjutsu or the like*. When calculating damage vs the durability of your crystal, remember to add it together. If one person does an A rank vs you crystal that can withstand S rank, you can only endure one A rank more unless the crystal is redone/fixed which becomes costly.
Description: Using your abilities with the crystal release skill you are able to create crystal either by transforming the particles in the air, or a more prominent substance. The technique is your essential crystal technique. It governs two things: the amount of crystal you can create at once, and the strength of your crystalline constructs. At C rank the user is able to crystallize up to a 5x5 section of material per movement dedicated to the process after handseals. This of course can be edited to be proportionally the same such as a 6x4 meter area etc. Also, when you have this skill at C rank, your crystalline constructs are able to endure C rank damage before shatter. This defensive power stacks with whatever technique this is used with if applicable. As your rank increases so to does this techniques power. At B rank, your ability to crystallize becomes a 10x10 meter area, and its able to withstand up to a B rank. At A rank it increases to 20x20 meters, and is able to withstand up to an A rank amount of damage. At S ranks it increases once more to 40x40 meter area, and again is able to withstand an S rank amount of damage. With this technique the user is able to transport through crystalline structures of their own creation at a speed of 5 meters per movement (kind of like underground fish projectile). This technique is generally used passively within other techniques. This technique also allows a user to somewhat “dismiss” their crystal creations at will. When doing so the crystal seems to basically disintegrate.
Limit: Must have the Crystal release.

Description: Picture
Using their knowledge of the crystal release, the user is able to crystallize particles in the air, allowing them to form a weapon almost from nothing. Both the weapons durability, and what weapons the user can create are based on their Shōton: Crystallization rank.

C ranked Shōton: Crystallization rank- The user is able to create up to 10 secondary weapons at a time.
B ranked Shōton: Crystallization rank- The user is able to create up to 15 secondary weapons, or 1 main weapon at a time.
A ranked Shōton: Crystallization rank- The user is able to create up to 20 secondary weapons, or 2 main weapons at a time.
S ranked Shōton: Crystallization rank- The user is able to create up to 30 secondary weapons, or 3 main weapons at a time. at a time.

The sticky entrapment technique had failed to subdue the ninja hailing from Yukigakure-no-Sato as he moved backwards to avoid its adhesive hold. Katsu was a quick ninja - in another second, he had flung shuriken towards the two ever-closing-in blobs, which bobbed up and down with each movement forward. His star-shaped weaponry, unfortunately wouldn't have much of an effect on the two aqueous thingies---given the dark setting, he had fired two of the four to the far right, which resulted in a miss entirely; the other two had hit their respective mark, but would just cease their movement momentarily before they rallied back, gurgling horrifically in the watery language.

Somehow, in the midst of combat, Hayashi had freed himself from the sticky holds of the Mizuame Nabara and fled towards the hills. It wasn't sure how he would manage to get back home now that he had decided to leave the fray, but that wasn't a pertinent concern at the moment. His ally which hailed from the same land had unfortunately forgotten to cast the requisite handseals for his initial jutsu in his rashness to riposte; that, coupled with the fact that he had decided to not even jump back or avoid the syrup field as Katsu had done had cost him the ability to move as he became engrossed in the sticky stuff. With his hands still free to perform, however, he did manage to create a crystalline staff from his flute.. but what good would that do him if he were now stuck in place? The twin that had pulled the knife from his boot just trembled in fear, "What the hell man?! The shuriken didn't do anythinnggg!!" he whined, incapable of performing further.

It would appear that only Katsu had the ability to move effectively and strategically against these cumbersome adversaries, who both had now become aggressive in reply to the Snow ninja's failed efforts. One called upon the element of earth while the other sought to attack the immobilized flute player with a striking water technique. The Teppodama was shot at the crystal-flute wielding ninja while the other jelly monster summoned a rather weak dome which tried to swallow up Katsu within its walls.

Daichi Kangoku No Jutsu (Earth Prison Technique)
Rank: "D","C","B"
Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: Raises Earth in a circle radius around the person of the user's choice. It can have a maximum base diameter of 3 meters.
Special: "Hand Seals, Hold Rabbit"
Drawback: The earth prison is not closed at the top, so it is possible for the victim to escape.
Description: Earth rises up around the targeted person quickly to a maximum height of 4 meters, trapping them inside. At D rank this technique is little more then a distraction or simple defense, only able to absorb a simple "D" ranked attack before it crumbles. Only the part that is attacked will collapse, unless the structural integrity of the entire prison is compromised. At C rank it becomes much harder and resists attacks better, but with persistence victim can break free (1 C rank). At B rank the prison is extremely hard and thick, made of solid rock. It is very difficult to break and will reflect most ninjutsu techniques back upon the victim. Although this attack is only B ranked, its is extremely tough and will stand up to most jutsu, including all B ranked techniques. Piercing jutsu will be most effective in breaking the wall.
