[4] Kazekage Tower

Jintai ran in to the Kazekage tower without his gear as he hurriedly dropped his gear off at home before coming hear. He burst in to the lobby with a dive roll before popping up at the receptionist desk panting and leaning over the desk. "I came.... as quick.. as I could...." Jintai said in between deep breaths. "I delivered the letter to Lady Amira, and I must go see her now." Jintao said wiping the sweat from his brow and looking at the receptionist with soft eyes.

[Tetsu]

Ao waved him ahead in the office. "She is currently in a meeting, but she won't mind seeing you." She said calmly letting him back into her office. He had access if he so chose to enter.

"I want my 5,000 ryo for delivering the letter too." Jintai said as he bowed and winked at Ao before heading up in to the Kazekage's office. He was trying to be playful as he normally is and his emotionless face would only add to the comedy. But that was besides the point because this was his moment and he might be tasked with one of the greatest possible missions of his life. He would walked in to the office bowing to Amira on one knee. "Lady Amira, I am here to help with the thing you have mentioned while we were outside the walls. Please use me to where I can be helpful."

[Tetsu]

The clerk sighed as she quickly reached under the desk to produce the 5,000 Ryo (1,250 to village). "here take your payment, The office doors are open, please be respectful when you enter," The clerk advised as the fellow seemed quite in a hurry. Letting him go, she quickly recorded the mission and went back to her business.

Amira was prepared to leave when suddenly she received an expected surprise from Jintai-Kun. Seeing as she was already standing, she patted the Kaguya's elbow as she passed him to address the new arrival to her humble office. "Jintai-Kun, you shouldn't push yourself so hard." She said walking over to him and resting her hand on his shoulder. "The ANBU are mobilizing now, and there is nothing to worry about." She said with a smile as she had already issued a mission and deployed the forces assigned to kill Hitomi. She didn't want to send her friend to his certain doom as he offered himself up like a tool to be used at her will. It pained her inside to think of the fellow being turned into a bloody pulp by the more than powerful Kamuyja who was a loose cannon for sure. 

"Jintai-Kun, I know you're eager to help, and your gumption is admirable, but don't go throwing your life away just because you want to help." She said with a smile as she knelt down next to him now to put them at the same level so that she could look into his eyes. "you're not just a tool to be be used by me, you're my friend, so please stop acting this way and stand up." She said with a smile taking her hand and placing it again onto Jintai's shoulder in hopes of comforting him. She didn't want him to fight Hitomi in all honesty. He had never seen any combat other than what the academy would have shown him, and yet she knew that he was determined to go either way. He had the illusion that his going might change the course of the battle, which she didn't doubt he might, but at what cost. Slowly her smile faded form her face as she let her hand slip from his shoulder. 

"I won't stop you from going to the ANBU headquarters and taking place in the mission; however be aware that I already have selected a good number of Shinobi who know how to handle her...please...don't throw your life away...don't die." She said softly letting her cheeks redden as she tried not to cry. The Kazekage was not suppose to cry after all. Keeping her posture, she stood up and offered a hand to help her friend back to a standing position. "you could always come with me you know, visit the land of grass with Minamoto and I." She said offering him the chance to join their mission (even though she had only intended to take Minamoto with them.). She kept a happy expression as she offered Jintai a choice. He could go with them in safety and adventure, or he could go hunt Hitomi and risk his life as any member of the ANBU. If he was ready, she won't stop him; however as far as she knew he wasn't ready.


(OOC: Okay guys, so Jintai, you can go off and do both missions if you would like seeing as one is an "A" rank mission and takes up an event thread while the other is a "C" rank mission which is a RP thread. Do what you want bro, it's all you )

Jintai would have rose as Amira would have extended her hand to him. Apparently he was able to go hunt down some girl named Hitomi who he didn't really know but he had to go to the Anbu headquarters. This was definitely going to be a time to shine but his Kage seemed worried about him thinking of himself as a tool. Jintai did something that no else would ever likely see which would have been kept to his grave but he pulled his mask down revealing his sharp face. It would almost seem a waste how he would normally hide it from the world which made this more as special. "Well for starters you never mentioned what the incident was so I didn't know there was combat involved." Then Ryko would have done the unexpected and hugged his kind Kage. "I don't consider myself a tool at all lady Amira, that's why I can be so loyal to you. Besides I can have some real fun. And don't you worry i'll come back safe my Kage." He said stepping back and actually smiling.

With sincere kindness in his voice Jintai had a cheesy grin that was nearly impossible for someone like him as he spoke." I have to go to the Anbu headquarters correct? Do I need some pass or letter from you to let them know I can go?" Jintai would have said scratching his head.

[Tetsu]

Amira was shocked at first as the always masked Jintai-kun dropped his face mask for just an instant. She didn't know how to respond in all honesty. "uh...I just..." She said as she was about to respond when suddenly she found Jintai embracing her. Again she was caught off guard, unsure how to react as the normally less than emotional Jintai. She felt his arms around her waist, the strange moment that left her confused. She let herself recompose as she just let it happen, not resisting the embrace as she could have easily knocked Jintai on his ass if she had wanted to. No, she let the moment sink in a bit as her cheeks reddened a little bit. Her normally cool to the touch face was much warmer in this instant as she waited for the fellow to release her from his grip. 

For a moment, she was paralyzed in place, unable to move or function for just an instant as Jintai said such kind things. As he asked about there being a pass to enter, she shook her head and returned to reality. "oh no, they will let you in, just let them know why you are there and the Commander Sawako will do the rest." She said keeping her soft smile planted on her face. "Do be safe," She said as Jintai was now free to leave to go to the ANBU headquarters as he pleased.

"Minamoto-Kun, Shall we be off then?" She asked hoping the display from her friend had not distressed the Kaguya any. They were short on time and the really had to be going with how serious the calcium poisoning appeared to be in the fellow. "let's get going okay?" She would prompt after Jintai's exit. She was ready to get this mission underway, and further more ready to save this fellow's life. 

[Minamoto Kaguya]

When Amira offered up to accompany him on the mission, Minamoto's stomach got tied up in knots. Even more so when she repeated: "your safety is important to me". No one had cared for him in this way since his late cousin Akiko, with whom the Kazekage already bore too striking a resemblance. All these thoughts and memories mixed with the fact that he had to make a decision made the boy's upper cheeks burn up, part of him almost wanted to cry. When the other boy entered the office, is was Minamoto's chance to put himself together and come up with a response.

A few deep breaths cleared his head of all the emotions which then allowed him to remember that he had promised his friend Miyagi that they would go on this adventure together. At this point, the decision of whether or not someone could tag along was out of his hands and into the Kage's but he felt he owed it to the his friend to at least ask. Minamoto was paying no attention to the conversation going on just beside him, too busy figuring out how to make such a suggestion. Finally having decided that Miyagi would do a better job of convincing her himself, the Kaguya boy figured that all he had to do was lure Amira to the tea shop that Miyagi was working at.

Hearing the Kage speak to him once again but not being able to make out her words, he turned with a smile and decided to speak: "If you're looking to get something to eat, I know just the place. Ever heard of Aunt Nori's tea shop? as he walked out the door.

[Exit office back into tower]

Jintai would have put his mask back on as he would have squinted at Amira. "Not many people gaze upon this beautiful face of mine Lord Kazekage mind keeping it between us." Jintai would have said waving her off as he left promptly.

Isamu launched himself from the rooftop landing in front of the tower. He was in a rush so he quickly handed his equipment over to the ANBU guards, before striding quickly to the receptionist's desk, "Is the Lady Kazekage in? I think she is expecting me." Isamu fidgeted anxiously, still unsure of what was happening in the village.

[Mr.Tambourine Man]

Miyagi had rushed over to the Kazekage's tower when he realized that he was late meeting-up with his old teammate Minamoto. Minamoto, seeming disturbed, had alluded to a meeting with the Kazekage at their last encounter and had asked him to meet afterwards and chat.

Though he was nearly half-an-hour late to their meeting, Miyagi was surprised not to find Minamoto there waiting. He can't have already left! he thought. After some hesitation, he decided to approach the attendant at the front desk and ask Have you seen a young, tall, kind of scary-looking, white haired ninja around here lately?

First to Isamu

"Isamu-Kun, yes the Kazekage has been awaiting your arrival indeed, please go ahead and make your way in." She said waving the sandy fellow in to the office GRANTING him access

Office Access Granted: Isamu

"Actually yes, He is currently in speaking with the Kazekage...Gosh everyone is here to see Lady Nara today." The clerk said as she waved the fellow on, seeing as the office issue at hand concerned them all, so might as well let them in.

Office Access Granted: Miyagi

Amira had had quite the day already as she nodded in agreement to going and getting food at the tea house. "That sounds like a good Idea Minamoto-Kun, But I have to say if you wanted to invite your friend all you had to do was ask," She said sensing his ulterior motive as they walked outside bumping not only into Miyagi, but also her best friend. "Ah Miyagi-Kun, you must be a gypsy, and you Isamu-Kun perfect timing." She said happily as she quickly waved the pair over to her location just outside their office. "It seems the team I was going to assemble found me, and not the other way around...God I love when that happens." She said with a chuckle as she quickly explained the missions details to Isamu and Miyagi. 

"So we will departing for Kusagakure pronto, for both the sake of Minamoto-Kun here and for the alliance between Kusa and Suna." She said simply, hoping that Isamu would remember the last time they had prepared to leave on a journey to Kusa no Kuni. "We will be leaving after we eat and get ready, so Isamu I'm positive that you're not opposed to being ready before noon." She said looking at the clock on the wall noticing that the time was currently around 9:00 AM. Minamoto-Kun, you will be coming with me to get prepared, Isamu-Kun, Take Miyagi and inform him of our squad tactics, I'm putting my trust that you will have him briefed properly my friend," She said quickly walking by the clerks desk and tossing the Info file to Isamu; which explained everything. "Alright everyone good luck, and I'll see you all at noon." She said with a smile as she turned and made her way to the door, but not before hugging Isamu on her way out. He was her protector after all. "ciao, She said waving as she figured she and Minamoto-Kun would go and get something from this tea house he had mentioned. 

(exiting the tower, you guys know what to do. Meet at the gates when you all are ready.)

Miyagi was caught off guard by the number of people assembled at the kage's office as he approached. The kage herself was so energetic she left him no time to find his bearings before he was swept into what promised to be his first real diplomatic mission.

He hid his excitement and walked calmly out after the dust had settled behind the kazekage.

[Minamoto Kaguya]

Minamoto wasn't 100% sure of what had just happened, but it seemed that everything he needed had been taken care of. A smile flashed across his lips as he noticed Miyagi keeping his "cool and composed" look, as usual. Then, realizing that the Kage had left without him, he rushed out of the tower"

[Miyagi's exit interrupted]

Isamu took in the details of the mission impassively. It seemed straight forward enough but Amira would be a target as soon as they left the borders of Kaze no Kuni. Isamu looked over his teammates. Minamoto didn't look sick to Isamu but human biology wasn't his strong suit even before bloodlimits got factored in. Isamu returned Amira's hug respectfully as the squad turned to leave. They really had been through a lot in recent months.

Isamu caught Miyagi's sleeve before he could leave, "It's best I bring you up to speed here." Isamu began to lay out the battle plan. Miyagi didn't appear to be a close range fighter from his equipment but Isamu asked just to confirm. If Miyagi was forthcoming Isamu would assign him to to the rear in a support role with Amira and Jin Tai. He took time to describe the lady Kazekage's abilities: her Nara Jutsu, her kekkei genkai though he did not know much about it, and her skill with the wood release and knives.

Next he explained his abilities as a Sadojin, his mastery of the sand release, and skill with both sword and fist. In particular he highlighted his ability to grow in size and lend his shadow to the Kazekage's techniques. Isamu also explained that he and Minamoto would take point and be focused on closing with the enemy. It was a lot to take in and Isamu hoped Miyagi would be a quick study. They wouldn't have any time to practice. With his lecture finished Isamu set off with his equipment to find a nice spot to sun himself before the mission started.

Miyagi didn't like being handled.

But given the size of his new acquaintance and the authority with which he spoke, Miyagi thought it wise not to say anything.

He listened attentively to Isamu's debrief, nodding and commenting here and there to show he understood. As seriously as he took this whole impromptu mission with the kage though, he had to resist the urge to crack a joke when Isamu proceeded to explain his ability to change sizes. As the man spoke, Miyagi also studied his build and demeanor, trying to guess at his fighting style and personality, though he wasn't able to pick-up much.

Miyagi left the tower after Isamu, feeling curious about what this mission would bring.

[Aimi Kaguya]

Slithering in through the front door of the Kazekage's tower, trailing sand in its wake with every turn of it's body, the sand having been caught within it's unique scales, a barbed serpent made its way through the halls, escaping the oppressive heat of the desert sun and seeking the cool shade of the inside, where it would rest and replenish itself before making it's return trip back to it's home of Kusa no Kuni. Around this spikey sperpents' neck was a headband with the Kusagakure's simple on it. It made its way across the floor, approaching the first ANBU shinobi it saw and lifting its head up, matching the shinobi in height. It was easily 15 feet long after all! Opening it's mouth, the snake began to regurgitate until a scroll became visible, very plain in appearance save for the piece of twine attached to it and what looked like a shard of ivory bone. Once opened, the message would read:

There has been a change in leadership within the Kusagakure. Anais Futakongo is no longer the Kusakage. Aimi Kaguya now leads the Kusa shinobi. You may come to meet him as you please, for the Kaugya you mentioned has intrigued him. Come at once if convenient. If inconvenient, come anyways.

The hand print was blackened from time and heat, but any trained medical shinobi could tell you that the hand print was blood. It's job finished, the barbed serpent coiled back and made its way away from the ANBU, moving further into the keep to find a source of water as well as something to eat, perhaps, before making its way back out into the desert. If nothing could be found, there was always something in the sands after all. One just needed to know how to find it...

You've Got Mail: Amira's Entrance The Kazekage walked into the tower, feeling the comfort of her home village as she quickly walked up the stairs to the second floor so that she could pick up her brown warm coat that she truthfully would have missed not taking with her. It carried most of her gear when she actually decided to collect it. Her green under blouse had the sleeves rolled up as she was suddenly met with an ANBU falcon from the communications corp. "Lady Kage, A letter came for you." He said in a shaky voice, unsure as to how Amira would react to the letter that had yet to be opened. Amira took it from the fellow and swiftly opened it up, reading it slowly as she walked back to her office.  Sitting at her desk, she easily noticed the dried blood hand print at the bottom of the page; which she found kind of strange. "oh there is a Lord Kusakage then?" She said in confusion to herself as she had thought that the last Kusakage had been elected so recently. Futokongo had not lasted too long, Amira thought to herself as she realized that this might change their plan for a trip a little bit. Amira bit her bottom lip as she debated responding. It was only polite to do so, she thought to herself as she knew little else about this Kusakage than the fact that his name was Aimi Kaguya and that he liked to send bloody hand prints as a signature.  Amira shook her head with a slight chuckle, "This Aimi Kaguya is definitely a dramatic one..." She said with a weak smile as she put her much smaller hand over the hand print that was placed before her on her desk. Taking her hand off the parchment, Amira quietly shuffled through her desk as she looked for parchment of her own and a quill to write with. She felt self-conscious of the fact that she felt urged to include her family name as well. She had always taken to her father's surname, and avoided the riducled nature of her mother's surname, Kaishin. She had avoided it, even pretended that she was not of the cold blood limit for the first 14 years of her life with her father Etsu; however now with her mother's death having only passed by a year ago, Amira found herself wondering if it would do her justice to take on the last name Kaishin. Amira shook the thoughts from her head as she artfully began to write her response to the Kusakage, posthaste.  After finishing the letter, Amira would quietly roll up the scroll gently, instinctively reaching for the Nara Clan's family wax seal that she normally sealed letters with; however something stopped her as she recoiled her hand. Quietly unrolling the parchment, she scribbled out the last name Nara from where she had signed at the bottom so that it read. Truely Yours, ~Amira Nara Kaishin, Lady Kazekage of Sunagakure Amira sighed as she rolled the scroll back up and grabbed the Nara clan's wax seal in her hand again. Quietly pressing it onto the lisp of the paper, she sealed the message well, hoping that the Kusakage would understand that she was making her visit now. With that she would swiftly exit her office, extending the scroll to one of the ANBU as she walked past the front desk. "Send this to Kusagakure, to Aimi Kaguya immediately." She said firmly as she exited the tower to head towards Kusagakure  (letter sent to Kusakage Keep) (exit) Post Number: 1 Techs Used: N/A #Letters #Correspondence #Tarts

Jintai would have burst in to the Kazekage's tower yet again as he would dashed towards the receptionist desk almost running in to it panting and looking at the receptionist. "I need to make a loan of at least 20,000 ryo!! it's of the utmost urgency and if that's not acceptable then at least 15,000 if possible." Jin would have said with desperation in his voice but yet still keep his expressionless face as usual. "If both of those are too outrageous that at least 10,000 at the least." He would said calming down wiping sweat from his brow. After reading that file on that Hitomi girl he'd rather not have to get anywhere near her as he didn't even specialize in close combat.

Suddenly Jintai went wide eyed as he realized that he could just pull this thing off!! He stepped back and bowed before turning high tail and running off out of the Kazekage tower somewhat pleased with himself and his smart thinking. he realized that he would be good with just a few extra things.

Bursting through the doors and speed walking like a pro to the counter Jintai would make his way over before standing still and going in to a salute. "I would like to request a month off for training my reasoning to prepare for the upcoming exams." He would explain keeping a desolate face. He needed this time to get stronger for his lover and to eventually go and prepare to become a higher level ninja.
