Appearance
SAND MOTHERFUCKER
Akane is a feminine figure, standing at six feet tall and a single inch, her figure is lithe and exudes elegance. Despite the fact her heritage falls upon those of the Sadojin, she replicates and follows the leagues of the Elite, her form replicating a young female of high stature. Long blonde strands escaping the top of her head and frame her entire face, falling upon her shoulders and running down her back to her waist. Her face is relatively petite, her eyes slender and firm with pale blue orbs. A small pointed nose escapes the smooth curves of her face; below a tiny mouth with pink gentle lips. Her face is rather round, but bares a tiny pointed chin to give it minimal shape.
Internally her heart is constructed of rock and liquid, a small globe that rests in the body of sand that consists of her form. The rock is small, but dark brown on the exterior made of a rough material. Internally purple slime makes up the rest of her heart, the slime crucial to her existence. Her heart rests where it normally does in any human being, in her chest floating between the left and right, positioned marginally to the left. Without the ability to move it, a hit would pierce her sand and potentially damage the organ, despite the hard exterior protecting it.
Unlike typical Sadojin, Akane uses real clothes to make up the majority of her outfits, preferring the real fabrics provided by merchants for standard clothing. The sand clothing often used by her people having the same weakness as their own skin and providing no real benefit. Her main outfit consisting of a simple white sleeveless shirt and a long set of tights. In other situations where she’s not required to be of a shinobi appearance, she changes regarding the occasion. Catching up with people, or any social event not related often allows her to dress a bit nicer, while home and comfortable situations usually get the same treatment as her shinobi attire.
Her skin is drawn together by many particular of sand to compose her entire body, the physical makeup consisting of the ever shifting tides. Each particular glued together with more to make a living being, the internal structure nearly non-existent. A chakra system flows throughout her entire being, each minuscule piece of sand holding a small flow of chakra to keep her in tact and living. Her skin is light, with the appearance of a thin tan covering her entirely. At a distance it’s easy to fool the Sadojin for being of standard human make, while closer inspection can bring certain flaws to light.
When disregarded of energy and required to fill up, unlike standard humans who have the ability to eat and drink. Akane is required to dispose of her clothes and essentially tan, exposing herself to the sunlight to draw in as much energy as is required to maintain a healthy lifestyle by the Sadojin. The photosynthesis process implored by her heart and the sand that composes her being requiring the energy to continue functioning. Without her physically making clothes with her sand, she’ll often be naked in this state and left uncovered.
Personality
Withdrawn and secluded, Akane has changed drastically since her birth and throughout her younger years. Born as a ball of energy, laughter, smiles and more. Throughout her younger years she was the happiest child she could be, spending time amongst her people and being with those similar to her made her happy and booster her personality to the brim of good. She was kind, gentle, caring and happy most of all. She was loud and rarely outspoken, abusing her charm and looks to get attention when younger and using that to gain everyones approval as an adorable little ball. It wasn’t until she was older and her life had been manipulated by others that she slowly withdrew and came to realize what the world was capable of.
Growing through her younger years into her teen years showed a lot of her character beyond what initially influenced her, hormones and puberty hit her hard when she was young. She was twelve when things started to change, she felt awkward and distant to most, withdrawing initially from the shock that she was changing and becoming different. The only person aware of her feelings or even inclined to understand what she was going through being her close friend, but he had his own issues. She became distrusting quickly, disbelieving a lot of what others said purely based on her own opinion, an arrogance in the finest form. Slowly aging and coming to understand that others were similar though, she slowly pulled herself out of the lull.
It wasn’t until she was separated from her beloved friend that she really pulled back again. She felt betrayed, and angry, disappointed and shocked. She had loved him more than family but less than a partner, she was so heavily weighted towards his life and appearance in her life that his disappearance caused a shockwave that rippled through her mentality for years. At first she was angry, foremost at him for what he had done and this caused her to lash out at her peers and her family if pushed. She was emotional and unstable for a while, incapable of understanding what exactly had happened. After a few months she came to a stable inability to express or feel emotion. Coming to realize that he was gone and it wasn’t at anyone’s fault but his.
With time she healed, and slowly she reverted. She wasn’t an evil person at heart, and with understanding, came the recognition of who she was. At first apathetic, but slowly growing to be kind an caring again. She was still shallowly withdrawn, a shyness of sorts that overtook her in new company. Beyond the initial stages of shyness, she opens up slightly, still guarded and slightly distrusting. The best she can manage without more time to heal, a blow to her personality that continues to scar. She can be won over, but only subconsciously. Direct actions to win her affection only grant the partial success for trying. If she sees someone do good, and act with kindness for no reward then she’s prone to opening to them.
Without the care of her parents and few friends to help draw her out, she’s typically in her own world and drawn elsewhere. Her mind active and creative, a safe haven of sorts for her to fall back to that allows her freedom from the few things she dislikes about life. Most company will pull her free from her reverie, and with time and practice she’ll grow back to the character she was meant to be. Loud, loving, caring, enthusiastic and full of energy. Until then, it’s a matter of time.
History
Born amongst the sand of Kaze no Kuni, the blood of the Sadojin running through her from generations back. Both her parents were born of the clan, and theirs before, the family remaining pure despite the time passing and the traditions slowly falling through. She was raised as an only child, both parents focusing their attention solely on raising her to continue their lineage through the times. They weren’t considered wealthy, but weren’t poor either. The middle-class suiting both them and their child well throughout the years. Without an imagined wealth, a young Akane was forced to find her own entertainment and sought it amongst company similar to hers. Other Sadojin children.
Growing up she spent time with a small group of her clan, they were all roughly her age and stuck together throughout the younger years and late into her teen years, a few disappearing for various reasons. There was a particular boy who kept with her throughout her childhood and the two remained close. Even as they grew older and discovered their own sexuality, at times making things awkward, the two of them remained closer than either had otherwise. Always here, and always together. Despite the connection, neither pursued a romantic relationship and kept things mutual, finding the benefits of having a close friend too great to risk for a potential lover.
She was assigned a student to the academy and began learning arts associated with Ninjutsu, Genjustu and Taijutsu. Her friend joined her in her learning, their parents under the same impression with Sunagakure. Both were accepted into the academy and classed together, making their learning easier with someone to learn with. As it turned out, her proficiency came at the arts of Ninjutsu, while her friend’s proficiency flowed through Genjutsu. Combined they had the metaphysical arts down, considering themselves relatively safe from Taijutsu combined. It was only when split and removed from their own comfort that they started to show weaknesses, Taijutsu proving to be a feat neither completely understood to use or defend against. With the Academy recognizing these threats, it tried to work the two apart and bolster their defenses, and thus removed them from the same classes.
It was alone when she struggled, her arts were powerful for what they were but she was nearly limited to Ninjutsu, not exactly capable of performing either counter. Genjutsu, or Taijutsu. Without her partner in crime to help her, she also started to fall behind with the other arts. She felt secluded, isolated and targeted, no one else had their friends removed and she didn’t get along with many others, only on the basic level of recognition. She wasn’t a threat, or a bitch, to them and so they weren’t to her. She never got along with anyone else however. Without her friend to help her her progress fell short, having to redo the last examination of her skills twice before finally being allowed through.
It wasn’t until she finished that she came to recognize her friend wasn’t such anymore, his progress hadn’t been slowed. In fact, without her, he’d pushed forward and found success that was otherwise buried when he was with her. He never considered that to be the case, but they fell into a lull when the difference became clear. She felt guilty, and poor for her efforts at holding him back, while he never blamed her for holding him back. He didn’t consider her to be a weight to his abilities, he blamed the manipulation of his progress being tied to her presence on the village. The two had been separated however, and without anything to hold them together they never came together again.
Five years after she graduated and she still felt alone and isolated, her parents had long been gone to their own world. They kept contact, but it was minimal, as she was considered an adult and in charge of her own life. Without many pushing factors she remained a Genin and isolated, working through her life carelessly and angrily at everyone around her. It was at her Nineteenth birthday that she slowly started working towards making a change. She was trying to adjust and become a tad more social, less withdrawn and more susceptible to the people around her. She started working on her Ninjusu more, to expand her knowledge an increase her power. She was sick of the lull, and was determined to get out of it.
