[Chuunin Examiner 3]

Yashouri Takeuchi

Room number twenty four. Currently only visible to the group arriving from the south, through corridor N. They had arrived upon a steel door, barring further access. Their approach seemed logical at first. Step up, pull the door open, and see what happened. Except, instead of any kind of reaction, all that they were given was a rustling sound.

The door was completely and entirely locked.

If they were listening carefully, they could hear the shakes from the door echo through a room. For a moment, everything had fallen into silence, but it was soon broken by a voice coming from the other side of the door. A male voice, belonging to someone in their twenties or so. Frightened, unsure, a man was trying to contact the two shinobi.

"H-h-hello? I'm G-g-george!.. I.. I'm a bit lost, I wasn't even meant to be here! P-please d-don't touch anything! I h-have to explain something first..." The man started talking, his voice clear enough that they would have no problem understanding him. When he was certain that they were still listening, he would continue his explanation.

"I h-have a map t-that shows all t-the traps on this floor. O-only i-it doesn't show w-what the traps d-do s-specifically. T-that door in front of y-you is t-trapped! I-in addition, t-there are three exits from t-this l-level. T-two of them are death traps. I k-know which ones! O-only one stairs will take you o-out of here. P-please get in here and s-save me! I W-will show you the way out." The man had shared everything. The only question was, did he always tell the truth? Would the pair of shinobi trust him?

[Takeuchi]

When the door was tried it did not budge, well we were bound to run into a locked door at some point. A voice came from behind it, someone who sounded scared and claimed their name to be George. Well, at this point trust was not a factor, there was only one door out of here and trapped or not, whether the guy was lying or not, we had to make our way through it. I would gesture for the kid I was with, still wasting his energy, to get back away from the door in case of explosives. "George," I called through the door, "I'm going to need you to get away from the door and make sure your out of it's path. I'm going to break it down."

I would give him time to get into position and maybe yell that he was ready before I stepped back, ten feet from the door. I knew that it was likely that this was a trap, but I seemed to remember Kana going through having to watch innocent civilians be tortured. My hands moved through a series of seals and the scaled flesh of my body hardened into a defensive scale structure. And then I charged at the door in the greatest bulrush known to mankind, the same charge that I pushed through half a dragon's body with. This door didn't stand a chance.

  He entered the room with Takeuchi meeting a new frightened character.Yashouri would try to examine this fast new event.He could sense the fear and negative energy coming from the person for a moment he just listened to their communication.And he was surely shocked when he saw Takeuchi trying to use the door even though it was said that the door was trapped.He did few hand seals and held the ''George'' person tight from his arm with a yell ''Hold me tight if you have a mind! '',Takeuchi would open the door,he inhaled the wind surfing and exhaled it with his full power to the wall around the door to make himself and george not get any hurt by flying to the opposite of the door like an opposite jump caused from his hard wind exhaling .For the first time he thought something logicgly,he knew that the air hitting the solid area would make them jump against the ''trapped door'' It was just used as a simple wind pushing.He could be a little original by using real techniques with names.But most of his techniques depended on his long time friend weapon,gunbai.So without his gunbai his wind was also weakened.But this was a good lesson for him.He had learned he needs to richen up his knowledge of techniques and styles of certain arts.

  Now him and george were flying back.But were him and Takeuchi doing the right thing? Trying with their full powers with the information given by this George man.. How could he get ended up here anyway,was he a clone,a trap? They wouldn't know for now.But this air jump caused by the hard wind exhaling would probably help him and George get away with hopefully safenes and Yashouri could just hope that Takeuchi wouldn't get hurt.. And the worst scenario.. DIE.

Carelessness. Recklessness. Even though there had been a warning, there had been no attempt to discern which kind of trap the door had been aligned with. There had been no attempt to question or reason what the best course of action would be. To the misfortune of Mukuro, certainly. The door was so heavy, that even if Mukuro slammed into it hard, he'd mostly stop in the doorway. The door fell to the ground with a loud bang, revealing the room inside... and a nasty surprise.

The moment the door was knocked off its hinges, a snap sounded from inside the room as a wire ran loose. A mere split second later, a hidden compartment in the corridor behind them had been opened. From it, an enormous wooden spear shot forwards, narrowly missing Yashouri's face. The spear was twelve feet long, and its tip was coated in a metal made to pierce armor. Along the sides, standard razors had been implanted. A nasty trap, meant to trigger only for those who had destroyed the door. If they had tried opening it by any other means, nothing would've occured. The wooden spear impacted against Mukuro, with a force that if he hadn't been incredibly lucky would've killed him there on the spot. Instead, it cut deep into his side just above his left hip, the razors likely getting stuck in his flesh. The force brutal enough to penetrate into the ground, likely impaling its victim in the process. A few inches to the right side, and Mukuro had lost his spine.

George screamed now that the door was knocked down and the trap sprung.
"I told you, I told you, I told you! T-the door was trapped, and now you went and got yourself wounded or killed! F-fool!"
The room, which was now revealed, was the average size of a living room, about fourty square feet. The room appeared much like a cave, with a stalagmite almost reaching from bottum to floor. On the opposite side, at the western end, something that appeared like stairs was placed immediately besides a sturdy wooden door...

What would they do now?

[Takeuchi]

Yes, one could call what the Uchiha did reckless, but only if they knew little about him and his thought process. He knew what he was doing when he slammed his body into that door, though he did not expect it to be quite so goddamned sturdy. I mean shit, he had plowed through a dragon's sand shield, scales, all of it's impact reducing qualities and still made it half way through the thing's torso. This door, hell it took all that force and stopped the Uchiha in his tracks, just barely falling over. Well, that's not important, what was immediately and infinitely more important would be whatever his instincts were scream at him to defend against.

With a slight pivot the Uchiha tried to shift his body to bring the shield into a slanting path and intercept the projectile. There was a reason that the centuries of warfare created armor and then forged it to be a curved or angled surface rather than a flat, blocky one. Those curves and angles would deflect the attacks rather than take the full brunt of the blow. Having shifted my body into the Stance of the Bear Claw when I pivoted and making use of my knowledge of Bear Claw Blocking, I would catch the projectile and use my knowledge and capability to deflect the spear away from myself without taking on an injury.

That was my hope, at least, the reality of the situation was the projectile was way faster than anticipated and it shattered my defenses and cut through my left side. A roar of pain was choked back as I staggered forward, managing to catch myself before I fell to a knee. I had not been expecting the blow and thus was not able to properly guard myself from the initial pain surge. Spending a couple moments to gather myself and start blocking out the pain, luckily it hadn't cut through any bones or organs.

After that I wheeled to face George and pointed at the door, "What the fuck is this? Some kind of alloy of mirthril and adamantium?" Yes, I am ever the reckless person being prepared for the consequences of my actions and all that. Anyways, with the threats dealt with for the time being, and the question about the door posed it was time to get to the meat of the matter. "Now, you said you had a map of the place and it's traps, may I see it?" With the words spoken I held out the fruit dish for the map to be put in, I wasn't disarming myself and trusting this guy just yet.

The bleeding had already stopped and without the blood loss, the wound itself wasn't all that bad a thing to deal with. It was all part of this lineage long lost to the tests of time, but it made blood loss not a problem. Hell, if I actually tried I could reattach or regrow a lost limb or organ and rid myself of fatigue all in one. Pretty badass, I know.

[Yashouri]

  Yashouri was wise to throw himself away from the door with his wind before it would get opened by Takeuchi.A wooden spear has past on his face very sharply and missed his face luckily,but there was a metal scrap sticked on it so even though it has missed,the metal has damaged the skin on his nose.A small red line appeared on his young nose and started to bleed.He was on the floor because of his wind movement.So he focussed on himself and with his full energy he stood up trying to wipe the blood on his face with his brown cloak.The blood surely wouldn't go,he remembered his trainings.He remembered how he would always get wounded and always had to get himself cleaned.He really didn't want to do this but it was time to grow up.The brown cloak,which was a blanket for him when he was a baby.Was tailored by his mother,and now he had to butcher it in a way.He looked at the cloak surrounding his right arm,he fastly ripped the clothing of it which was on his right arm.He shook the brown ripped of clothing around and wore it to his nose area and and wore it as he did a knot behind his head with its lasting clothing like a headband.The ripped clothing was now a brown headband-ish bandage for his nose now.A smile appeared on his face.


  After his little working was over he moved towards the men.He again did few handseals and this time got on his beach ball sized transparent air instead of the huge and fast wind surf.He just wanted to be on something and fly.He listened To Takeuchi's words and spoke to Takeuchi before George would show them the map.''Well,this weird adventure is starting to take longer than i thought.I think the other contestants have already landed outside,lets try to finish this as fast as we can'' He almost whispered to him.Then he turned at George hoping he would Show Takeuchi the map He would ask with one of his brows raised and his hands in his pockets,as he would sit down on his transparent air ball. ''How did you ended up here,George? And who are you actually? ''

Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: Creates a ball of air about the size of a beach ball. It does no damage but is useful for sitting on and escaping from a dangerous situation quickly. This ball is also handy as while riding it you can ride up walls, ceilings, water, hot ground and cold ground without harm.
Special: Handseals
Drawback: Really None
Description: The user quickly performs the simple handseals, horse then serpent then extends there hand under them palm extended as almost instantaneously, air forms into a ball under them. They can then sit on the ball and scoot away quickly or ride it across hostile terrain or up steep cliffs.
Limit: Must have Wind Release. The ball continues to use chakra as long as it remains active but only a small amount, two points of chakra per turn.

I quickly want to remind you both that the IIC is two days. I've sent a PM to Takeuchi with some things that need changing before the thread can continue. If no reply has been made or updates done in the two days IIC after Yashouri, the character will be skipped.

George was sitting there on the middle of the floor, looking at a huge piece of paper that was clearly showing him something. It was the fabled map that he had spoken of having. A map that revealed every single trap in the exams, even for anything that might face the group later on.

"I, uh, was placed here by the examinators, I think. I've not gotten too clear instructions, really. Nothing else than this map. The map is mine, and you cannot have it or see it. Around the corner there, there is a door leading to another corridor akin to what you've just been in. There is also a set of stairs. The stairs are a death trap. If you go there, you will die. The door is trapped. On the other side, you'll be approaching another group of examinees. They're looking for the exit too, but they don't know they've already passed it."

George said. It was very curious though. The man was clearly placed where he was for a purpose. That they were running into him wasn't a coincidence, it was preordained, and George was acting very curious, especially in regards to his map. Were they going to believe him? Were they going to question him to learn more? Were they going to continue and just pretend all he was saying was gibberish?

...To discern information and find the truth, that is the duty of a Chuunin. This was just another test on their way to survival.

As I listened to the man speak I was searching his words for any hints of dishonesty or a lack of telling all he knew. My ability to Sense a person's motivation behind something was really quite impressive, if I do say so myself. I was not entirely sure how to react to what he was saying at this point, if he was lying or hiding somehting things could get very ugly, and I honestly would not trust them even if they seemed on the level at this point I don't think I could fully trust him. Hell, going flashy red Uchiha eyes could always get me some info as well.

((OOC: Sense Motive is at 125 SP. I am banking on the fact that since Sense Motive was changed in the middle of the exams leaving us no chance to obtain the technique to Discern Lies using it, we can still use it to tell if someone is lying for the duration of the exams.))

George does not seem to have a motive. He isn't appearing to be assisting the two who entered the room, nor does he seem to be against them. His knowledge of the traps are clearly from what he can see on the map, although it is unclear if he is acting delusional or not. It was obvious that George had no motive to attack the two, and would definitely mind his own business unless interactved with.

[Takeuchi]

With a sigh I tucked the dish under my arm and reached out to put something of a reassuring hand on the man's shoulder. "Listen, George, you seem like a decent fellow and I would like to help you get out of here. However, I need to see the map in order to best do that, I need to be able to make spur of the moment decisions without having to consult you." I removed my hand from his shoulder, I had felt the flesh and meat of my body knitting itself together as we spoke. The wound was apparently minor enough that I did not need to exert my Grendle Ancestry's main power to it and the minor bit could cover it.

"I understand if you think I'm too reckless since I broke down the door and got hit. My skin itself was armored though so I only took some minor damage. Hell, my body's natural healing process already fixed the injury. Enough of that for now, though, if you don't want to give me the map yet then tell me the quickest way to get to those examinees." So maybe I left out the part of only being able to heal from relatively minor damage like that and maybe I forgot to mention that I couldn't do it again for about two more minutes. Well, it's not like those were super important details or anything and it was more important to help those Examinees that had passed the exit.

[Yashouri]

  Yashouri quickly nodded strongly as Takeuchi spoke,he started to feel like they became close to finishing this adventure, but this George person seemed too suspicious to even trust.Yashouri had no choice,he was a good hearted person but he had to show some balls.He scratched the back of his head focussed on his energy and sadly charged at ''George'' As he ran towards him he did few handseals for a quick wind attack.He didn't want to harm this man in anyway but he had to show that he had the power to become a chuunin.It was about time he proved his deceased parents that he was strong.

  After he did the required handseals,he focussed on his body and around himself.He felt the wind coming out of his long time trained body.So the energized strong wind easily got deposited inside his stomach and was ready to get thrown.He exhaled towards George with this very simple D-ranked techniqued, he couldn't help but yell its name as he swurled his winds towards George without losing the sad face .    ''Kaze Ya no Jutsu!!''
He would jump on George after hitting him with wind,in order to take the map from him using physical hardness.After they would take the map,ofcourse Yashouri would want George to follow him,if he won't turn out to be a trap after his attack.

Kaze Ya no Jutsu (Wind Arrow Technique)

Skill: NinJutsu
Effect: User is capable of breathing inwards and exerting outwards a large like arrow to pierce into the opponent's body.
Special: User takes in a deep breathe filling their lungs with air.
Drawback: Only one may be created at a time.
Description: The user molds chakra and breathes in. He or she then blows out and an arrow made of wind is shot from the user’s mouth. This arrow may be blocked as it is just a large consumption of wind, however it can not be deflected away. This means that the object must be large in size enough to defend from one against the wind. The size of the arrow is the size of the opponent's mouth with the length of three feet as it can travel up to the distance of twenty meters. This technique is used for short range to steer an opponent away from the user.
Limit: Must have the Wind Release

George grumbled as he was stepping aside, going to place himself in a corner again, pulling his legs up to his chest. His attitude had changed, although he wasn't being offensive towards the two of them at all. No, it was more like a spoiled child that didn't feel like doing what they were being told. The reaction had been sparked when showing or handing over the map was mentioned. George was hiding it in his vest.

"I don't think I like you! This map is mine, and I am meant to keep it. You cannot have it, you cannot see it. Being greedy won't help you! The other group is, as I said, somewhere beyond the next door. It may be trapped too, I don't know. The map is sometimes hard to read."

That was all that was given from that man. If asked any further questions he would merely grumble and shake his head, speaking lowly about how everyone was being stupid and noone appreciated the fact that he was trying to help although he had no flashy abilities like the other shinobi. The map was on his body, but as he had said, it was only for his eyes to see. He'd likely die before giving up the map. The choice of what to do was up for the group to decide. There was no interaction or any threat from little George. He wasn't there to attack them.

...Thats about when Yashouri decided to launch an attack at George. The man saw it coming and tried to block it by holding his hands above his head. It was clear he wasn't very good at combat. The strike fell against his temple. The man dropped to the floor with a low thud. Stretching his arm towards Yashouri as the map was taken, he was almost crying... "Nooo, my map, please give it back, it doesn't belong to you..."

...The map that Yashouri had taken was sticky to hold. In the middle of it, in very small scriptings, Yashouri could see something that looked like the outline of a maze. To properly see it, he'd have to get close and use an observation check.

Just listening to this man, there was obviously something very wrong with his mind, whether he realized it or not. There were several possibilities, one was that the map itself was drugged, maybe there was a genjutsu on him to make him obsessed with the map, he could just be a really fucking good actor, or maybe something I couldn't account for. I was about activate my eyes to check him for mental tampering when the little puppy that had been following me around decided to bite. Goddammit. My first reaction to the situation was to groan in annoyance and facepalm at the situation

Walking over to the kid and try to hit him on the back of the head, hard, yet not while using any particular technique. It was more for a wake up call before I headed over to the door George had been talking about. "Give him the map back, you idiot." It would have been easier with the map, but that wasn't entirely necessary if George just came along with us, which seemed unlikely now. I made my way to the door George had talked about and began to examine it for traps and triggers while speaking to George, "I'm sorry about that idiot, if you would like to come with us then I promise I will do my utmost to get you out of here safe and sound."

If I could find no traps then I would proceed to attempt to gingerly open the door, keeping my shield prepared to block and traps that may activate that I had not seen. I mean hell, traps seemed to be escaping my sight thus far.

   Yashouri got a sudden hit by Takeuchi on the back of his green hair covered head.He was shocked and even more annoyed now.He was already sad because he had to use hard power on someone that didn't look mentally ok and now that Takeuchi was mad at him and George was even more freaked out he couldn't say anything but to look down.He felt he was doing the right thing,and he would still believe he did the best thing.Yashouri was young but he sure knew a chuunin had to think properly when something had to be done.


  He kept his embarrased silence stance and checked the map but he didn't have any observation skills so after a carefull check,he followed Takeuchi towards the door and he handed the map to Takeuchi knowing he was surely more experienced.He broke his silence ''I think you should check it out before you give it to George..None of us want to stay here forever'' He took the ripped cloth piece from his scar on his nose and put it in his pocket.He got in a more ''adult'' stance,too embarrased to look at George...

Takeuchi had been a saving grace for Yashouri, although the boy didn't actually give back the map to George. If only he had listened. Or even if he had paid attention to the fact that the map had been awkwardly sticky, he might've saved himself a bunch of trouble. The sticky sensation was constantly increasing, and as he looked closer at the map, although he didn't actually have enough observation skill to percieve what was going on, the map stuck to his fingers and his cheek. This was glue, designed to stick on any surface even coming close to contact with it. Thats when things took a turn. The map started twisting and turning, the corridors and indications gathering themselves into a message. Time to die, thief! Then the map started burning. It was then obvious exactly what the intention had been for the map, at least if it was stolen. It was in fact a map placed on top of an exploding tag, that once removed from George's body for too long would self-ignite and detonate. So now Yashouri was stuck with an exploding tag stickied to his fingers and face, and it was ticking down quickly. If Yashouri didn't manage to somehow remove or disable the tag, it'd explode straight onto his face. It would likely be lethal. Tick tock, Yashouri.

The door didn't even need observation to see how it was trapped. Exactly like the other door that they had knocked down when they had arrived, it had a wire attacked that if the door was broken rather than simply open, it would trigger some kind of trap. Exactly what kind of trap it was, could only be left up to assumption. Why someone would attempt to defend this room from outside intruders, must've meant there was something important in there. Right..? Either way, Takeuchi had a decision to make. Was he going to help poor Yashouri?

In the meanwhile, George had vanished seemingly into thin air.

[Takeuchi]

The kid came and offered over the map, he did not seem to either like to listen or do what he was told. "I told you to gi-" I cut myself off as I turned to scold the kid and noticed that the thing was on fire and stuck to his hands and face. There was no choice, I could not help the kid with the abilities at my disposal and I was not going to die for his stupidity. My feet kicked off, carrying me forward to the still open door that had been trapped, arcing around the harpoon that was embedded in the flood. The instantaneous movement did more than just propel me ten meters away from the kid, it left behind an image of myself so I could get a little bit more of a head start if he wanted to follow and do something like take me out with him

The kid hadn't been terrible thus far, just a bit stupid but I wasn't going to take chances with things like this. After the instantaneous movement ceased I would sprint out the door and into the next corridor to get away from that explosive as fast as I could. I did not want to be anywhere near that thing when it went off. I was ready to punch him right the fuck away should I need to as well, glancing over my shoulder now and then as I sprinted forward. Things just weren't going my way.

[Yashouri]

  Yashouri noticed things getting highly dangeorus for him.The fucking paper started to get burnt and everything was going bad.A mean excitement and worry surrounded him and almost took all of his focus.He tried to move with the sticked map but he couldn't do anything with the fire.He couldn't give up,because if he gave up.He would..DIE.

  He had to think of something,the heat was getting him unconcious.Before he would lose the most precious thing in his life..His life.. He had to do something.The fire slowly surrounded him and sadly after a minute it would explode if he couldn't do anything.The tears started to fall down from his young eyes.A yell could be heard by him as Takeuchi sprinted away as fast as he could..He had done enough for Yashouri, so this time Yashouri had to save his own ass.

  ''MY PARENTS, I DONT WANT TO SEE YOU YET,NOT THIS SOON!'' After the painful yell he fully focussed on his wind energy.He put his life on the stick for real.After this much of chakra molding in small time even if he would save his life,he was going to get hardly wounded.After he gathered enough power he slammed his trap-sticked hands together and exhalled almost feeling the strong self attack he had done to his lungs by doing this wind movement.He did the required handseals with his glued hands and used the technique with a full yell.'' FUUTON!:DAI KAMATACHI!'' .A huge wind blast had happened from this young man.He did this wind attack so the map would get away from him with a strong wind,he wouldn't care of what happened.He just ran fastly towards Takeuchi.He wouldn't know if his technique worked.But he was physically wounded from it.He could see the blood dripping from his body.Only small time would tell if he was saved from the terrible trap.

.Fuuton - Dai Kamaitachi (Great Cutting Whirlwind)

Skill: NinJutsu
Effect: Can repel any weapon's projectile attack regardless of dodge stat.
Special: User must give a full swing with a long weapon three feet or larger, or arm.
Drawback: Depending on the user's class level depends on the user's capability of using this technique.
Description: The user is capable of using a fan, or a weapon that is longer then that of three feet to perform, or even their arm. When the performs this technique they quickly attack within a distance of forty meters in cone form. The user then blows a concussive wind that is imbued with Chakra. With this technique the user launches an amount of fifteen large win cutting blades within the length of three feet each in a large like arc. This technique is launched in a confined form and used within short distance of five meters when first learned as a "D" Class character. With every class level the user is higher then that of "D" The distance increases by five meters. As the technique is launched it gives out deep cuts into the opponent. When hit against the ground the force of the blades is capable of picking up the ground, kicking up dirt making vision difficult.
Limit: Must have the Wind Release

There was nothing that could be done by Yashouri it would seem. His wind technique was meant to shove things away, and it didn't do much when it was essentially already stuck on his person. His flailing however, did manage to loosen it slightly from his face - but it was too late. The exploding tag went off with a loud bang. The force itself was enough to rip the arm it was stickied onto off. The shockwave ripping against his face, slinging him backwards through the room like a ragged doll. There was blood everywhere. As the boy hit the wall, he was still alive. He had lost an arm, and taken considerable damage to the rest of his body, but he was still alive. Wheter he was capable of getting on his feet and moving on was doubtful, but maybe if he was fortunate someone would come and save him from certain death. He had to hold on...

Meanwhile, Takeuchi had moved into Corridor O...
