[OOC: I assume with these extra threads we can just be outside our village while skipping the exit process, for convenience]
Katsu sat deep within the forest surrounding Kumogakure, well away from the village itself but still within a long day's journey. He had come to one of his recent finds deep in the forest, a sacred grove that seemed to just emanate with natural energies, dispelling fatigue and negative emotions over time and promoting a calm serenity if you stayed long enough. It was the perfect place to try and practice something that Katsu wasn't sure he should show others he could do.
After all Katsu was trying to learn to bring the dead back to life, if anyone knew he could do such a thing then they'd never stop pestering him over trying to bring back their loved ones. Katsu knew that sounded rather harsh, but death was a part of life, and Katsu didn't want to tamper with the natural order to the point it turned on its head.
So Katsu started to set up his little experimental workshop out in the middle of nowhere. He had with him enough materials to perform the completed ritual several times over, as well as the body of a small child who had died very recently. The poor little girl had fallen over a cliff and smacked the ground below at terminal velocity. Instant death, and her parents didn't even know she was dead yet. Oh there were search parties, and Katsu had been part of it, but when he had seen the poor girl lying in a mangled heap he took the body and fled to this place, in an effort to resurrect her. Luckily the ritual would repair any damage done to the body as long as it was still whole, and this girl fit the bill.
Of course nothing ever goes completely to plan, so while Katsu was setting up his area, moving the earth around to create a raised low pillar to perform the ceremony on, Katsu heard the approaching noises of people.
Well this was going to look bad. Katsu was some kind of Dragon humanoid, and he had a dead little girl with him. Katsu hoped he'd be able to explain before the other person attacked him...
