Personality:
Titania is the kind of person that will never tell you her true intentions and will do her best to avoid talking to you altogether. Having never been the best at words, it wouldn’t take a genius to figure out that her primary goal in life was to gain power. Having long since reached her peak physical condition, she could focus all her efforts on clawing her way up the social ladder. This in itself has sucked most of her remaining compassion out of her daily life. At the cost of earning any sort of true friend, Titania would backstab wherever necessary and consistently remind her superiors that she was one of the most devoted and worth shinobi of the village.
There was just one problem with Titania on the battlefield: she was scared. This wasn’t some kind of pre-mission nervousness; this was psychological fear of getting killed in battle. Titania would usually find herself placed right in the back of an engagement during a mission and generally values her own life over the success of the mission. For the most part, this fear was completely uncalled for since she had always been a monster to go up against in a fight. It usually takes some sort of dire circumstance for Titania to snap out of her fear and engage properly. It is for this reason that she has yet to become a chuunin despite her talents.
Outside of work, Titania is about the most bigoted and narrow minded people that there are. Feeling no pleasure from unnecessary human interaction, the woman shuts herself in her house and works on side projects. She enjoys making weapons, no matter how much she denies it. This is apparent due to the hundreds upon hundreds of weapons she had crafted since her induction into the Academy. In addition, she possesses a master-level singing voice which she selfishly keeps to herself. She tends to keep most of her private life concealed within the doors of her house.
Having always been incredibly observant of her surroundings, Titania has taken to using her bloodline to spy on… pretty much everyone. She can look into your house from several hundred meters away and simply lip read your conversation. This is mainly how she goes about backstabbing since there is almost no one she can’t dig up some kind of dirt on. And if anyone ever comes after her, she will always claim she was at home working on her crafts. Hardly anyone would be able to prove her otherwise; she had long since rigged her house to appear to always be occupied. She will also rarely let anyone into her home and would much prefer to speak at the doorway.
To be purely hypothetical, if anyone ever gets the chance to break into Titania’s mental fortress they would find how lonely she is. She sees herself as better than everyone and thus has never found someone she felt was an equal. There had been plenty of men over the years that had tried gaining her heart, but she was simply too good at detecting their lies and was too busy focusing on her work. Deep down, she really wants to be with somebody and fears that she will never find a partner. However, once she finds a partner, she will immediately quit her shinobi lifestyle in order to avoid putting any potential children through the lonely hell she had been through.
Appearance:
Titania’s defining characteristics are her very slender form and her bright pink hair. Standing at a healthy 5’ 8”, she has been the envy of many girls. No matter how conservatively she dresses, it is impossible to make her look unappealing. Her arms, which are fairly thin, look incredibly unsuited to carry out any sort of combat. This coupled with her thin legs make it hard to think she would be any sort of threat at all. Her waist and stomach were also thin which accentuated her womanly curves enough to catch a passerby’s attention in any sort of lighting.
Titania’s eyes were, like every Hyuuga’s, completely white. The only way to tell where her pupils were was to look for the center of the slightly greyer center of her eyes. To anyone that isn’t aware of the Hyuuga trait, she would appear completely blind. Thankfully, she wears crimson red contact lenses at all times since she finds her natural eyes to be quite disgusting. Titania’s face, however, needs no modifications as it is quite free of any sort of blemishes. Her face is rather rounded at the sides and becomes a little sharper towards the chin area.
Speaking of her face, Titania has a rather wide range of facial expressions that she has perfected by staring in the mirror and practicing. Although her personality is rather bitter, she can maintain an extremely calm and charming complexion at all times. She also uses this talent to be very manipulative; she has been known to trick people into doing things for her. Coupled with her ability to fake body language quite effectively due to her acting prowess, Titania is often avoided by her peers for fear of being taken advantage of.
Titania’s go-to combat outfit is a get-up which consists of red and orange coloring and covers her womanly parts in one piece of clothing. The clothing leaves her stomach, back, and the inner half of her breasts completely exposed to the elements. It is, understandably, viewed as highly sexual but she has never been one to respond to a man’s advances anyways. In any case, she typically wears black leggings and red gloves that extend all the way up her arm and stop just before the shoulder area. The fingerless gloves themselves have clothing hanging off of them which generally gets caught on things at the most inopportune time.
Her go-to casual outfit is a short cut black dress with pink shoes to match her hair. She has noticed over the years that people seem to stare at her hair for unreasonably long periods of time so she makes sure to keep it well groomed and cut at elbow length. She has tried dying the hair in the past, but people seem to lose all interest when the color isn’t natural for some reason. In any case, the hair covers her ears which are completely ordinary. Her lobes are not attached to her face which is a genetic trait that she has always been fond of.
Now assuming that Titania has gotten angry for whatever reason, she will go home and get out one of her swords. Every sword she has ever made carries the exact same theme: big and shiny. Glossing over the incredibly huge weaponry, Titania’s hair stands on its ends, her eyes widen maniacally, and her teeth form a menacing smile. She will then abandon all forms of speech and simply shriek in the direction of what she’s about to attack. She looks more monster than human when in this state of mind and it’s not uncommon for people to call the authorities since she looks absolutely horrible.
Background:
Eighteen years ago, a girl was born on a battlefield several hundred miles from Konohagakure to a pair of Hyuuga shinobi. To their dismay, the parents had been trapped in a highly secure safehouse for several months and had been unable to get back to the village in time to have a proper birth. The enemy had been trying day after day to gain entry and it was only thanks to the mother’s proficiency with the tenkai technique that the Hyuuga couple had been able to survive this long. However, the mother was at her limits and would surely die; it was time to escape.
The father, skilled only in the taijutsu arts, made a break for the village and miraculously survived. Well, he survived long enough to make it to a small town that would be able to take his daughter home. And so, the baby and the father’s body were returned to the village. With no one to care for the child, the Hyuuga main house arranged for babysitting services which would support the young girl until she was old enough to live on her own. Sadly, her parent’s had not been particularly wealthy and the little money they had ran out when she had turned seven.
During these seven years, the girl was taken care of by an old woman who’s name she never bothered learning. This caretaker named her Yuno, but the little girl never really liked that name. She would toil away with whatever she could find around the house, which was mostly crafting tools. Her caretaker encouraged her work knowing that the girl would have to have some sort of skill if she was going to be able to live on her own. With the right tools, support, and motivation, Yuno became quite adept at building things out of wood in particular and ended up being able to craft well enough to make a small living off of it even at the age of six.
Having always been particularly introverted and bigoted, Yuno’s less attractive attributes only intensified when her caretaker’s contract expired. Yuno would end up spending all day sitting in her home, crafting whatever she could come up with. Money was becoming less of a problem for her since there was certainly a demand for her services so she really had nothing to do except fool around. Even when the other Hyuuga managed to get her to come out of her house, she took little interest in participating in Jyuuken lessons even though she excelled at taijutsu.
It was this sort of seclusion that got the neighborhood to start referring to Yuno as Titania by the time she was 10. People called her this because she seemed to have a mind so stubborn it must have been made of titanium. She was so narrow sighted that people would start calling her The Egoist in her later years. It was also around this time that she gained the ability to use the Byakugan which was a talent she cherished dearly. With this power she was able to see people coming from a distance and take extra precautions towards avoiding contact with others. Why should she bother with them anyways? She clearly didn’t have time for their petty inquiries.
By the time Titania turned 15, she had become a master weaponsmith and had no need or desire to spend all day working. Having worked for as long as she could remember, she had begun to think about what she was going to do with her life. Certainly she did not want to sit cooped up in her workshop now that her talents were blossoming. She had developed quite a singing voice so becoming a singer was not out of the question. However, a job she definitely had her eye on was that of a shinobi. Shinobi clearly had more freedoms than the average person and they had status.
And so, Titania joined the academy and started putting in some major effort into mastering the Jyuuken style. She even spent time trying to push her telescopic vision to its limits! Nobody really knew why she was going so above and beyond with her training, but it was likely due to her subliminal fear of dying like her parent’s had. Not surprisingly, her hard work did not go unnoticed and she soon found herself assimilated in the shinobi world as a Genin. She had separated herself from society for all these years and now she finally had a taste of something more important than making weapons in a dusty workshop: power.
