Name: Kill the New God
Rank: "S"
Plot:
There is, or was, a temple in the Land of Bears. It was a mighty temple, and one sacred to a small religious sect for several thousand years. For all its grandeur, there were rooms that were forbidden to all, never to be entered. The altars there all had magical powers, to transmute baser metals into gold, or to bring back the dead, turning water into wine, all of these things. For these blessings the people who worshipped there were grateful, and never disobeyed the will of the gods who sent them all of these miracles. A powerful sect grew up, including many powerful warriors who would guard the temple from evildoers at all costs.
But, like all things, the plan was not flawless. A man with no real faith infiltrated their ranks, and he was able to gain access to the innermost chambers of the temple. What went on there precisely is unknowable, but he managed to steal countless precious relics and totems and idols. While he was in there, it seems also that he encountered some unknowable secret of great power. For, when he left from the sealed chambers, he was able to walk off carrying several altars composed of heavy metals and otherwise thought to be tethered to the ground. Leaving with newfound power and altars of great divine power, he all but destroyed the temple.
Now, he is out on the loose. Little is known of what he has done so far, but some suggest he considers himself to have became a god. Whether he can beaten by force or trickery is difficult to say, but the Elders of the Temple have gathered their most powerful magical items together, as a reward for any who would help depose this man who stole so much from them. Returning the altars and idols would be a major plus, but simply ending this horrible business would be a great thing in their eyes.
Location: Bear Country, to start. This will take those who enter all over the place.
Rules: IIC: 48hrs. Because of the Epic Nature of this event, missing a couple IIC's here and there will not be a big deal, but if you miss them during combat, you will be hit, and if you miss enough I might kill you or simply force an exit. You must obey the site rules, you must not metagame. This might take a long time, so if you have Chunin Exams or something else looming in your future, I would recommend not taking this event. The word of the GM is final. I might call in a back up to help me judge combat situations, but for the most part, I decide what goes. Also; you must SPOILER any techniques or abilities you use, especially if they give you some kind of vision or sensory perception. If you don't want to copy them over every time, thats fine, but make sure you state them in the spoilers.
