Turin took to the roads straight away after leaving the village of Rain. He had no interest in getting lost, and wasn't particularly concerned about being jumped on the road. Along with him he brought all of his usual gear. His rifle crossbow, modified with a scope with up to 10x zoom and thermal vision, plus the Optima modification, all folded up and hidden beneath his jacket using the Sniper modification. It rests parallel to the ground and sits on the small of his back. Along his left hip, tucked back so as to be obscured by his long coat, was his Large Hip Quiver with a hundred and fifty standard bolts, each one with the fletching modified slightly so that the bolts spun as they were fired. Tucked away in various places in both his shirt and jacket were a total of twenty knives. On the back of his right hip, slightly to the right of where he keeps his folded crossbow, and still hidden beneath the long jacket is his small butt bag. Within, he kept his full twenty piece lock pick set, glass cutters, world map, and a lensatic compass.
He used the map and lensatic compass now to make sure he was heading in the right direction, even though he was also following the roads. Going along at a slightly south-easterly direction, he would make it to River country without too much trouble within a day or two of walking. Keeping his pace brisk, he walked along the well-traveled roads going between River and Rain countries. After a few hours of walking in the mud and rain, it finally started to let up as he got further and further from the Rain Village. At some point on his walk, the rain stopped completely and the sun even came out.
Taking down his sopping hood, he allowed the warmth to dry his hair and his face. His coat started to feel dryer as he went, too. While he felt like Rain was a perpetual miracle because water was so precious to some people, every now and again it was nice to remember what the sun felt like. With his hood down and his spirits high, he marched along until he made it safe and sound to the border of River country.
