- Personality -
Much unlike his sister, Tritan is very laid back. He is the type of person who prefers to play around with a couple of the kids from the academy and teach them instead of going out on mission. That is when he is not doing his favourite activities. With an absolute adoration for surfing and all things water sport, he spends several hours a day in his free time either out on the water or planning what he will do when he was out on the water.
Normally walking around with a smile on his face, just enjoying the area and where he lives it isn't often that you catch Tritan in a bad mood. There are times that he does drop his laid back and slightly goofy personality at times if he needs to make sure he is taken seriously though this isn't very often. Over all he isn't a huge fan of combat, even though he has the skills and ability to handle his own. With his combat prowess though he is more than happy to teach those who do not know, whether they are experienced veterans or the recently graduated / graduating - of course only teaching what is at their level.
As for curiosity, there is always that little spark for him to learn and figure out more but if it requires much effort or will take him out of the way from his initial plans he often doesn't care. The only real exception to this is if something dangerous or truly suspect is happening in which case, out of loyalty to his former team, he will step in or investigate. During which he will break it up or investigate as much as needed then if needs be pass it over to who ever is best suited.
With romance, Tritan is not massively fussed about finding the special someone. He is the type of person to let what happens happen. He isn't a massive romantic, he might appear with a few picked flowers if he went on a date but he would rather go for a walk and relax in the wild countryside rather than pay through the nose for a romantic dinner date. Anyone he ends up becoming romantically tied to for him would be similar to this, not someone who is that fussed about being spoilt - even if he has the funds to spoil them.
As a person, Tritan isn't the most book smart intellectual, he isn't the biggest fan of stopping and thinking and analysing for hours on end before making a move. He would much rather trust his instincts, he does do some fore planning but he doesn't rely solely on it as he knows how a situation can drastically change. For example a team mate getting hurt and then the plan needing to be changed. As the medic of his team though he does try to play a bit more defensively but due to his defensive capabilities he knows that he can get away with being a bit risky if needs be.
- History -
Born to the noble family of Elk the land of Tea, Tritan never really fit into the life style even as a child. Unlike his older sister Zyra, none of the etiquette lessons took their toll growing up and his own naturally developing personality remained dominant. Much like his sister though, he had the potential to be spoilt but he was never massively fussed by what he was given; Tritan was much more excited by going out side and playing rather than having any possession that took his eye.
At a young age he developed an interest in the oceans around the island and the different water sports possible to play there. His favourite quickly became surfing and it didn't take long before he became slightly addicted, spending most of the day and his free time out on the waves and developing friends in the aquatic sporting community. While spending time with his new friends his naturally personality developed more making him quite a laid back and carefree young man, not someone who realistically should inherit the title of Emperor from his father and this worried his parents.
Much like what happened to his sister, Tritan was given the option to go over to a hidden ninja village and train as a shinobi. Although this was hard for his parents to do they knew that sending him away would be what is best for their son to learn how to act more maturely and focus on more than just his relaxing down time. There for at the age of thirteen he arrived at the hidden village Kusagakure, the same village his father had trained in and the same village his sister had went to train a couple of years prior.
Upon arriving in the village, the first thing he did was to sell the posh apartment he was bought and instead bought a basic room and some watersports supplies so he could still enjoy himself. He wasn't fussed by having everything posh and preferred to just fit in and not be treated differently, the complete polar opposite to his sister who wanted everyone to worship her and bow to her feet. Upon starting in the academy, he was a late student but the previous education received had covered a majority of his basic taijutsu and the written / non practical side of his education so his classes became specialised in learning how to control his chakra and hone his taijutsu skills.
Through the development of his skills it was discovered that unlike his sister who had a strong affinity for the use of genjutsu and the ability to manipulate others, Tritan had a more natural ability to fight up close in close combat and that he carried the bloodline of his father. The bone manipulating techniques of his father, the Kaguya while his sister carried the Onigami gods eye techniques of his mother. The pair of siblings were truly opposites in almost every sense, except for the fact that both had the natural talent to work with medical ninjutsu.
After his basic training was completed, Tritan was placed into a team of genin about his age who had recently lost a team mate and were lacking an upfront taijutsu user and slowly he would become good friends with them. The group completed several missions together, although their team work and synchronisation was off at first it slowly began to develop and improve, until the group soon gave off the appearance they had worked together for years.
At the age of 17 the trio of team members entered into the chuunin exams, a quite stressful and dangerous event to allow shinobi to gain ranks and responsibility. Responsibility was not Elks cup of tea but he knew that the other two wanted to promotion, and without a third they couldn't enter. The trio worked hard and passed the first round comfortably in the middle of the pack but when the group combat and mission testing happened things began to go south.
The team were ambushed by three opposing teams from and opposing village, working together to make sure that only they passed. The combat situation was dangerous with the three barely holding their ground and as soon as the enemy teams realised that Tritan was a medical shinobi their focus shifted quickly to him to try take him out. Playing on the defensive to save their own lives they were soon out matched unable to take on three men each and his two team mates were struck with high damage dealing blows leaving the youngest on the brink of death and his other team mate knocked out on the floor.
The examiners watching paid particular attention to what would happen but Elk just sat down and held his hands up knowing he couldn't beat them all. He handed over the prizes that the three guarded only to take a blow to his body which should have knocked him out but thanks to his natural bone density he didn't take much damage and instead feigned the feint until the group left them. As soon as he was alone he got to work, he knew he was racing against the clock and began trying to heal his friends and team mates.
To him, the lives of his friends were more important than that of the promotion to chuunin and he would drain his chakra to the point of exhaustion if he had to. While focusing on team mate who was dying, a small orb of healing energy was created and placed over the other team mate. It was a technique that didn't need his concentration to maintain so it would help speed up the recovery of his colleague while his focus remained on the other. When his colleagues both came too and were stable the team began to make their way to the gate they entered into. Leaving with their defeat in tow.
Taking note of what had happened the examiner vanished without a noise and reported back to the head examiner his findings. Shortly after the team exited the area and a group of less weary medics came to see the trio, Tritan was exhausted and had some minor bumps and bruises but thanks to his swift first aid the team of medics managed to finish the healing on his friends saving their lives. Tritan watched while they worked to save his team mates when the Kusakage came over and placed a hand on his shoulder and tried to guide him away for a chat.
The report handed in was sufficient enough for the lead examiner and the kage to come to an agreement, although he hadn't finished the exams he was to be commended and granted the title of chuunin. His drive to save his team mates and protect the lives of his team more than just complete the objective coupled with his skills in combat and healing were enough for them to agree unanimously that he deserved the promotion.
Although Tritan had managed to save the lives of his team mates, the team ended up having to break apart. The injuries sustained by both of his team mates left them unable to continue in their ninja journey and without their drive trying to push him forward his own ninja journey began to slow down too. He took on less missions, and even fewer team missions out of fear that he would end up losing any new team mates he would make.
As the time passed he began to settle more within a training role of the village, and when he wasn't training himself or other young shinobi he happily remained out and relaxing on the waves of the open water. The place where he could think and be himself without the worries and the added stress of shinobi life.
One of the days after finishing his surf and heading back to the village one of his young students bumped into him, a child carrying the same blood limit that Tritan did. A student he had been personally mentoring on how to use it properly, the student took Elk by the hand and took off trying to drag him along. Being quite chilled about what happens he followed along only to be introduced to the child's grandfather. Upon introduction he learned that the child's grandfather was a survivor of old. Someone who wanted to thank Tritan for training his son in the ways of the Kaguya beyond what he could, and although Tritan didn't feel like he needed thanks the old man wouldn't take no for an answer.
He shooed away his grandson for a while and spoke to Tritan directly, it was an old and rare technique which he felt his grandson wasn't yet ready for. From his sleeve he produced a small scroll written in his own hand, it was the ability to remove the toxic calcium from the Kaguya's body instead of having a machine do it. Which meant that he would be better off in an emergency situation. Elk was talked through the technique and shown how it works before he was sent off to practice it, but it was under one condition. The condition that Tritan doesn't teach the survivors Grandson the technique until he has properly mastered the clan's techniques. Bowing his head in respect and thanks Tritan took the message and accepted the terms before saying his good byes to the old man and his grandson to go off and train.
The training was painful and gruelling but necessary for him to learn. If only to respect the fact that an old master of his blood line would bestow onto him an ancient technique which was not available in any other scroll he had seen. He did not know why he had been chosen to guard the technique scroll but it was clear that the older kaguya master was getting on, and at some point the responsibility to teach the other Kaguya shinobi of the village would fall into his hands....
- Appearance -
Words like Classy, Elegant, posh or any other word which may describe his sister do not fit and suit Elk in any way. He is a lot more relaxed and chilled, not caring about his appearance - he would rather be comfortable and ready for his water sports instead of looking like he is about to meet royalty once more. Meaning he doesn't wear posh suits, shirts or ties - he will wear his swimming gear to go and meet the kage and village leaders unless it is a truly special event going on in the village.
His appearance is quite unkempt, his dusty red hair is often just left as bed head for the day, often not bothered to do anything with it because he knows while surfing or in the water it is only going to go to shit. Only on the special occasion will he go and have something special done to his hair beyond having a basic cut and trim, though it still makes him uncomfortable. On the rare occasion he will pull it back or tie it up to keep it out of his eyes while sniping with a bow and arrow, though this is often put back the moment he can.
His skin tone has a weak tan on it, not to say he is pale but he does what he can to look after his skin so not to burn. He doesn't mind having a little tan but he doesn't want to go over the top to the point he could be mistaken for a different ethnicity. His body is well looked after and kept in decent shape from his constant sporting activities and the occasional training he does, although he doesn't have the biggest and tankiest of bodies it is well trimmed and muscular.
His most typical outfit is a white tank top / vest covering his torso with a pair of orange board shorts and some orange flip flops too. Around his neck is a small chain with a Kusagakure pendant upon it, showing his affinity for his village while he is out of his shinobi uniform. During this time he often will carry around what ever items he needs for the activity that day, most commonly his surf board but on occasions air treks, ropes for rock climbing and other miscellaneous sporting equipment.
It isn't all that often he carries around his weapon of choice, typically preferring to use his bones in up close combat, his skills with a bow and arrow have been proven in the past. As such his bow and a quiver full or arrows can be found on his person, as both a long distance weapon and for his love of sports and athletics he enjoys them overall. There is nothing special about his bow, no sentimental attachment as a gift from family etc.
