[Spectre of the Falls(Kuroki)]

Kuroki, a man that stood over six feet tall was looking for ghouls in the fallen battlefield where bunch of undead had fallen, and he was dressed in a deep trench coat with the sleeves looking to have been ripped off emerged. His well muscled form was hidden under the large coat, his shirt and pants were also made from dark material looked prepared to take on the dead. He wore a bandoleer crossed over his chest and in it contained a bundle of wire, a bundle of fine silk rope, six yo-yo's, a lighter, a package of cigars, a walkie talkie, a eight inch flash light, ten glass cutters, twenty pieces of flint, a small glass, ten vials, two different kinds of compass, thirty bo shuriken, and thirty Hira shuriken just in case things went bad this night. He also wore a darken leg holster with a four of kunai and a pair of knives. Hidden in the extra pockets of his coat was sixteen caltrops and an extra pair of knives. His face was recessed in the hood of his coat, but what could be seen was a weird three quarters mask with integrated goggles that covered all but a corner of his face. His hands were covered in dark reinforced finger-less gloves, they could almost be called gauntlets with the studded knuckles. Each knuckle had a metal skull for a stud. You couldn't see most of his equipment hidden in his pouches. His night vision using eyes was exploring these woods in the dead of night carefully for his quarry, by walking in the trees as silently he could. He was going for the stealthy approach to meeting his targets.

Ghoul, Common

Effect: A low level undead human like creature that feeds on the dead.

Description: Also known as Flesh Eater. Common Ghouls are undead humans who feed on the flesh of corpses. They are vaguely recognized as the humans they once were, but have become horribly disfigured. Ghouls have long, forked tongues, sharp, elongated teeth and strong claws. All Ghouls look vaguely similar and may continue to wear the tattered remains of whatever clothes they had in life. Ghouls are slobbering, flesh-eating maniacs, but they hunt with an evil cunning. While Ghouls feast only on dead flesh, they have no problem with killing something to make it edible. Breaking Vials of holy water in the path of Ghouls will cause them to hesitate one round, then jump over or run around it. Ghouls attack en masse, swarming over prey and digging in with their filthy claws and biting with their fangs. Their touch paralyses humans unless a save vs paralyzation is made. Paralysis lasts for 2d4 rounds or until negated by a Cleanse Paralysis or similar Jutsu. They bite for 7 Armour Points of Damage and Claw for 7 Armour Points of Damage. Any human or killed by a Ghoul becomes one unless blessed or completely destroyed. Ghouls are immune to Sleep and Charm Jutsus. Ghouls are found in graveyards or wherever there are plenty of bodies. One in every 100,000 Ghouls may also retain some Intelligence. However, even these undead will still be overcome with the desire to feast on carrion and will be unable to conduct civilization conversation without munching on carrion first. So far as any civilization folks know, Ghouls can only be created by other Ghouls and Ghasts. The original undead creatures are believed to have been created by the Ghoul King, who dwells somewhere in the underworld. It is rumored that Chaotic Evil creatures can cannibalize the dead may turn into Ghouls. It should be noted, that many of the dead in the world are buried on consecrated ground to prevent Ghouls from defiling their bodies or turning them into ghouls.

Yields: Ghoul's blood are used for alchemical mixtures. Ghoul Claws may be grounded and processed to create Venom extract. Ghoul Claws may be ground up to make Potions of Ghoul Control. A Potion of Ghast Control will work on Ghouls, although the Ghouls get +2 to save. The reverse is also true, but the Ghasts get a +4 to save. Potions of Ghoul Control has a duration of 5 minutes per Cultivation Mastery.

Kuroki threw the bones down, it looked like the ghouls have eaten and moved on. He shook his head and continued on, looking for some sign of Ghouls. He was determined to take out some undead and earn himself a little Ryo. So further into the battle field and forest he traveled, looking for signs of fresh ghoul kills or ghouls themselves. He carefully studied his surroundings to track down these evil dead.

Kuroki traveled at night using rumors and legends to track down a likely nest of undead activity. And from there he was using his wits and knowledge to specifically pick out the clues he needed to track down the flesh eaters known as ghouls. He had to be careful though as he knew they like to travel in packs and had a evil cunning about them. So onward through a battlefield were plenty of dead had already fallen was a likely place as any to find them.

OOC: I saw in Snow's Kraken mission he got multiple rolls from suke so I figured to try. But alrighty I will stick to one at a time.

Kuroki found one of his targets and even better it was alone. This was a perfect start for his hunt for harvest of them. SO he closed his eyes for a second then reopened them as he threw together handseals. His weaving motions were summoning forth shadows that were partially real. In a five meter diameter the earth started to move as his spectres rose from the ground. A hand popped out of the ground with a silvery sheen sword that looked so battered and decrepit. It could have come from a hundred or more years ago in the ground. The spectre pulled and heaved until it's head emerged with a skull like helm over it's face.



There were pits for eyes in side the helm of the spectre swordsman. This Spectre looked like he could have been some sort of elite heavy guard. The next to be revealed was it's ancient battered armor. It was just a solid breast plate but it looked to be a very heavy armor indeed. And ancient looking symbol started to emerge as more of the breastplate was revealed. First the slogan of this ancient being in scroll form above the actual symbol. It looked battered and beaten, there was even great tears in the armor as it rose.

The slogan read "Nemo me impune lacessit", It's meaning so far eluded Kuroki, but he promised to bone up on his latin but it was appropriate. It's meaning though was "No one "cuts" (attacks/assails) me with impunity". The rest of the crest started to form as globs of dirt fell off of the creature he had created. It had a shield of some indeterminate color and definitely had swords crossed behind it. Multiple hands were coming up until two fighters per meter. And this was a five meter diameter around the ghoul. So at least twenty heavily armored spectres rose form the ground and immediately started attacking his foe.

Description: Affects anyone within 5 meters diameter emanation centered on a point. The user is able to perform this technique at a distance of 7 meters plus 6 meters per class level. The duration of this technique lasts for 5 rounds per class level. A phalanx of spectral swordfighters appears. Their blades are drawn, and they stand ready to strike. 2 ghostly, incorporeal swordfighters appears in each meter covered by this Jutsu's area. A swordfighter can share the same area with another creature or object since it's incorporeal. The swordfighters do not hinder movement, block terrain, or block line of effect. They can flank an opponent with each other and with the user's allies. Since they are illusory incorporeal they gain the incorporeal effect to the attackers minds. They can be destroyed with enough attacks or a target may use Dispel GenJutsu to remove them to the target. Each swordfighter may make 2 movements per round. Every strike they make does "D" Rank worth of damage.

The one ghoul would stagger slightly at the site of the phantasmal warriors, before realising that they were incorporeal. Suddenly, making a sprint, it would allow the weak attacks of the swordsmen to hit its body, potentially weakening it slightly, while it, maddened, made for the flesh of the ninja which it would make its meal. Unless some defense was made, the ghoul would make alternating swipes with its left and right claws; attempting to maul the ninja with each swing of its claws, injecting its paralyzing venom.  It would swipe wildly, high and low, left to right, attempting to fill the air with its wild blows. If it made contact, it would begin to reach to grab the shinobi before it.

Meanwhile, movement stirred from outside the circle of soldiers...

Kuroki grunted as the ghoul charged toward him through the incorporeal swordsmen, but at least they got their hits. Each swordsman had two movements so they were not the fastest reactors known but they each one in the ghouls path took a swing then turned to follow the ghoul. So a ghoul and a phalanx of swordsmen were running towards him. This didn't worry Kuroki to much as the Ghoul ran towards him. He simple ran up a side of a tree then threw together a hand full of Hand signs together. 

Suddenly thirteen pale balls of fire sprung to life around the ghoul. They dances and weaved into a disorienting convolution. They surrounded the ghoul and that should at least slow the ghoul for a moment, even if was immune to most of it's effects, it still was fire surrounding the creature. It would give time for his spectres to get more hits on the ghoul. So far the ghoul would have taken over a dozen blows from his spectres as it stood. And the swords may be shadow stuff but they still hurt.

And in case that wasn't enough he started spinning a yo-yo very rapidly above his head. A small whooshing sound could be heard from the swinging yo-yo. This was both a defensive and a offensive technique. So if the ghoul does manage to get by fire and the spectres he still had to get through his yo-yo and wire.

Description: A very simple yet effective attack with the string. Throwing the Yoyo above the users head sending it into a strong hover and at the same time causing the string to orbit around the user starting at the hand up. Best used if User holds their hand above their head.. They create what is essentially a swinging attack/defense with the string. The Yo-yo will hover over the users head at a distance of 5 meters or under, for the duration same duration of the technique Hovering Yo-yo. First time learned this technique the string will orbit around the user 1 meter away. Every additional C rank will increase this distance 1 meter. Every meter needs 2 meters of string to increase the sphere size. Damage and Defense is based off Strings of Fate technique. If defense is broken, hover is lost. This can be used in conjunction with 5A style C rank or lower strikes.

Drawback: User can give away their location if used carelessly. Must be within the given range of Gōsuto Hikari (Ghost-light).

Description: The user performs the handseals and creates twelve more balls of flame in the same manner as Gōsuto Hikari (Ghost-light). The user then sends these flames towards the target and forms a circle around them. Channeling their chakra into the balls of flame, the user causes them to move around in a slow circle around the target, almost like the flames are dancing. Occasionally these flames will wink out of sight only to reappear again a few moments later. The flames gradually speed up with each round that passes. The bright, moving lights along with the blinking are designed to confuse and disorientate foes, leaving them dizzy and addled. The circle encompasses a five meter circumference, increasing in size by three meters per class level the user is above "D". The user may control the movement of the flames so that the circle stays around the target.

With the fire of his own might, as well as the aid of his illusory compatriots, the young ninja dealt handily with the creature of the night. It shrieked, as its delay, the blades of the shadowed swordsmen, and the smite of the opponent finally struck it down. Perhaps still some what functional, it crumpled. Its contorted form was twisted in pain even more so than it was twisted by its reanimation. But now, stepping into view but staying out of reach of the guardsmen, came 15 additional ghouls, gnashing their teeth and moaning, as they pondered how to safely extract the prey they saw before their eyes.

Kuroki's eyes widen as he saw fifteen more ghouls coming for his skin and other bits. He only need so much of their pieces so it was a time for a small change of strategy. He signaled for his spectres to attack the ghouls, fifteen versus twenty or more should be an interesting match up. This was going to be a tough drain on himself but should be a pretty good surprise. With a surprising speed he set another series of hand seals off.

In the middle of the ghouls he set a ghost light with a surprising quality. It would rapidly expand to two meters and burn anything that got to close to it. It should also surprise them long enough for the spectres to reach them. Any further kills of the undead will just be bonus. His eyes saw ryo when he saw the ghouls.  As the surprise appeared between the ghouls the dancing lights that had dealt with the first ghoul danced toward the new set of ghouls. His ghost light fire balls would dance over to the ghouls and make a eight meter circle around them. This would attempt to entrap and subdue the Ghouls.

He would use all his resources to gain his needed funds and reputation of Taki. This was his first mission outside the gates so he didn't plan on screwing up.

Effect: Creates a stationary ball of dull flame that, when approached by anyone but the user, rapidly heats up and expands.

Description: The User makes the handseals and creates a small ball of flame in the air in front of them. The flame doesn't give off much heat at all and is not as hot as other fire, being exactly normal body temperature. The flame is stationary and floats in the air a couple of feet off of the ground, bouncing in place, appearing harmless. When someone other than the user, or something with higher than normal body temperature, comes within a foot of the ball it rapidly heats up and expands outwards for two meters, burning whatever is caught within it.
Limit: Fire release. Must know Gōsuto Hikari (Ghost-light).

The undead were gathered around. The watched for a second, as the shadowy legionnaires gathered their forces and made a charge for the group. Then, they scattered. 

One must understand, that the legion of sentinels which has been conjured earlier was far from durable, and particularly far from mobile. Any legionaire which sought to make a strike against a ghoul would be deftly batted away. Because these were undead, and had no chance to actually believe in the attack, they combatted only the chakra portion of the thing, and were fighting enemies one-fifth reality and four-fifths figment. And of course, ghouls care little for appearances. 

Any sentinel which made a strike at a ghoul would have it sword batted away and would be struck at twice, once with each claw. Limited movement would give the sentinels some difficulty dealing with this. Unless given aid, half of the 20 odd sentinels would be destroyed within the round.

None would make an advance on the ninja just yet, so his trap would remain unsprung...

Kuroki grunted as his spectres were having trouble but he expected as much but they were doing what was needed. It Kept most of the Ghouls localized until he could spring fireballs around some of the combatants. And at Least because the Ghouls were using physical attacks, half would just swish through like nothings at all was happening. This was because they were incorporeal, so anything physical had a chance to hit nothing but air, and that chance was pretty good that they miss the shifting shadow chakra in the spectral forms.

But because he needed all the advantages he could get, he would concentrate on making more of the Spectres as they fell. He was draining his chakra to make so much, but because of his specialities he had fairly good control. And this would give him time to back up a little more till he was sitting on the side of a tree, to make him harder to reach. As he did so he decided to distract them a bit so his Spectres could get some hits in, besides his spectres out numbered the Ghouls so at least a few hits shouls have been gettting in. In Necril with a heavy accent of the living, Kuroki spoke to the ghouls. "Your unlife is towards an end flesh eaters, your here to fuel my power. Now bow down and take your rewards." His whispering chittering voice cold and a deep.

The undead stood, wavering their options. Not very successfully mind you, but they were trying. The antics of their prey was beginning to be a nuisance for their needs of feasting on its flesh. It was toying with them. Did they realize this? Of course not.

But they as a unified group were not worried about fancy things like lights, or manipulated supernatural things of the sort. They were not impressed. They had no mental capacity to care. So After one in the middle groaned out then limped on with a charge. The rest did to.

They were not very fast however. They treaded along, some falling over at the very beginning, others running into things along the way. But they came at the plenty. A few almost looked as if they had too much weight on one side due to decay as they leaned over a bit while coming at the man. The moment they were near, they would swing their arms savagely trying to catch him.

[Spectre of the Falls(Kuroki)]

As the undead group limped and charged through his spectres, his spectres would get a couple of good attacks in each all twenty or so of them, as the Ghouls would pass by and through. Then it was the multitude of fire lightsthat would burn on contact, including on special Ghost ight that would epand to two meters in size burning everything it touched. The cool decay of the ghouls would burn all the easier. And all this was before the group could reach the tree which was but a few meters beyond the fireballs.

This was where Kuroki actually did some things for himslef striking out with a bundle of wire. Using a drilling strike aiming for the vitals known as the brain hoping to kill whatever is aimating them. If successful he would attempt to tangle that one up enough so he could litterally use the things body into the others. Giving time for his spectres and fireballs to reclose on the ghouls and hack away at them some more. For a few should be falling at this point. If he could keep up this cat and mouse game he should be able to kill them all.

O Ni Bi En (Will-o-the Wisp Circle)

Effect: Creates a ring of dancing flames around the target that confuse and disorientate them.
Special: Handseals, holding the last seal. Must have performed Gōsuto Hikari (Ghost-light) before using.
Drawback: User can give away their location if used carelessly. Must be within the given range of Gōsuto Hikari (Ghost-light).
Description: The user performs the handseals and creates twelve more balls of flame in the same manner as Gōsuto Hikari (Ghost-light). The user then sends these flames towards the target and forms a circle around them. Channeling their chakra into the balls of flame, the user causes them to move around in a slow circle around the target, almost like the flames are dancing. Occasionally these flames will wink out of sight only to reappear again a few moments later. The flames gradually speed up with each round that passes. The bright, moving lights along with the blinking are designed to confuse and disorientate foes, leaving them dizzy and addled. The circle encompasses a five meter circumference, increasing in size by three meters per class level the user is above "D". The user may control the movement of the flames so that the circle stays around the target.
Limit: Fire release. Must know Gōsuto Hikari (Ghost-light), must know O Ni Bi (Will-o-the Wisp).

Gōsuto-kō Odoroki (Ghost-light Surprise)

Effect: Creates a stationary ball of dull flame that, when approached by anyone but the user, rapidly heats up and expands.
Special: Handseals
Drawback: ---
Description: The User makes the handseals and creates a small ball of flame in the air in front of them. The flame doesn't give off much heat at all and is not as hot as other fire, being exactly normal body temperature. The flame is stationary and floats in the air a couple of feet off of the ground, bouncing in place, appearing harmless. When someone other than the user, or something with higher than normal body temperature, comes within a foot of the ball it rapidly heats up and expands outwards for two meters, burning whatever is caught within it.
Limit: Fire release. Must know Gōsuto Hikari (Ghost-light).

Gōsuto-kō no Noroi (Ghost-light Curse)

Effect: Creates thirteen balls of flame that creep forward slowly towards anything with a normal body temperature or higher.
Special: Handseals
Drawback: The flames can only move in one direction. Flames move very slowly. User must be within the range of Gōsuto Hikari (Ghost-light) or else the flames will disappear.
Description: The user performs the handseals and creates thirteen floating balls of fire in front of them. These flames will move forward away from the user and spread out gradually, covering a total of ten meters in a line beside each other. The flames move extremely slowly, comparable to the average person's strolling speed. Should anything with a normal body temperature or higher come within five meters of these flames they were begin to slowly converge towards it until they come into contact, burning whatever they come into contact with. Should the flames go outside of the user's maximum range of Gōsuto Hikari (Ghost-light) they will disappear. If they come into contact with something inanimate (A tree, a rock, etc.) they will simply disappear.
Limit: Fire release. Must know O Ni Bi En (Will-o-the Wisp Circle).

Description: Affects anyone within 5 meters diameter emanation centered on a point. The user is able to perform this technique at a distance of 7 meters plus 6 meters per class level. The duration of this technique lasts for 5 rounds per class level. A phalanx of spectral swordfighters appears. Their blades are drawn, and they stand ready to strike. 2 ghostly, incorporeal swordfighters appears in each meter covered by this Jutsu's area. A swordfighter can share the same area with another creature or object since it's incorporeal. The swordfighters do not hinder movement, block terrain, or block line of effect. They can flank an opponent with each other and with the user's allies. Since they are illusory incorporeal they gain the incorporeal effect to the attackers minds. They can be destroyed with enough attacks or a target may use Dispel GenJutsu to remove them to the target. Each swordfighter may make 2 movements per round. Every strike they make does "D" Rank worth of damage.
Limit: Must know the Shadow Perception.

Wire Strike

Effect: Strikes out with Wires.
Special: Requires 1 meter of Wire for 1 meter of range.

Description: The user whips their arm from around their back, their arm whips out and their Wire un-coils toward a target. The user can either pierce, or slash at their target, depending on how they strike out, such as a slashing motion or a lunging motion with their arm, hand, then finger. The damage is dependent on their knowledge of The Mighty Wire. A thrust create Piercing damage, and a Slash creates an arcing slash damage with the wire.
Limit: Must know Demon Stance E rank. Must know Becoming Unraveled C rank to retrieve Wires. Must know The Mighty Wire D rank. Must know Demon’s Reach D rank.

Aura of Misfortune

Description: All creatures (including the user) within 3 meters of the user are subject to a -2 profane penalty to their Saves. This penalty increases to -3 at "C" Class, and increases by an additional -1 every Class Level thereafter (Maximum -5). This Ability functions only while the user is conscious, not if they are unconscious or dead.
Limit: Must start with Character; replaces 1 Freebies.

Their efforts were rather slim. Not many surviving the onslaught of what came to prevent them from reaching their desired feast. They prey making them work for their desires was a rather large insult to them, in the sense that they felt neglected of natural resources. A rare bunch of undead to ever live a life of desire, only to be filled with regret. Regret of even seeking this one. However their mindlessness would never allow them to decide otherwise. So the two dozen of them that they once were, would be burnt down surely enough. One after another, twelve our so fell to the intense heat.

The remaining eight were only badly scared, but still didn't falter to keep sight on the man. They were furious now. Attacking anything, and pushing each other rather pathetically out of the way. If only they remembered how to climb correctly. The blinding light, halting their gradual process, only to be struck down, by a wire. Some decapitated on the spot as their muscles, tendons, and bones were all decayed beyond use. A real pathetic sight it was. They weren't prepared to face this man. And, so all of them fell. Dismembered, and soon to dead once again. Nothing else beyond that fact alone.

Description: When learning a skill, the skill states how many times a die roll may be applied to show how much they learned within that skill. This "trait" increases the amount of die rolls by 1.5 rounded to the highest number at 1 die roll per learning, however any number higher than 1 die roll is rounded down. For example: User learns Botany and gains 5 die rolls. With this Trait they will gain 7 die rolls. However if a user learns Lockpicking they normally get 1 die roll, however with this Trait they will gain 2 die rolls.

Kuroki checked to make sure the area was clear for the moment then jumped down from the tree. He landed with a bit of a thud being a heavy kind of guy. His eyes could see at night easily thanks to the night vision goggles. With a twist of his hands he recalled all his wire back into a bundle that stayed wrapped around his hands. With a small movement he took out his knife and began his bloody work.

With precise movements he started harvesting the usable components from all the corpses. But before he would gather from any particular corpse he would direct a spectre to sever it's head and it's arms and legs just to be safe. The rest of the spectres were spread out in a perimeter just in case more undead come out of the wood works. His ball of fire was right over his shoulder to provide light for him but in such a way as not to blind him.

Using the vials and extra spaces in certain pouches he gathered every scrap that he could. From the Ghouls he needed certain things for sure like their claws. And just to be sure he grabbed other scraps of material that while not immediately useful could be used for other items of non alchemical proportions. Thinks like fangs, blood, bone, tissue and brain samples, for study. He also took trophies for proof of kills, that way he got credit.

Yields: Ghoul's blood are used for alchemical mixtures. Ghoul Claws may be grounded and processed to create Venom extract. Ghoul Claws may be ground up to make Potions of Ghoul Control.
